I have some vintage photographs of Rocky Marciano up for auction on Ebay right now. Check 'em out if you like Rocky. I doubt you can even find any info about the day these were shot, never mind other photos from that day.
Photos also include Eddie Fisher, famous singer and who knows who else?
Does anyone know who that big dude is? Still haven't been able to find out his name. Any help?

Re: Any Rocky Marciano Fans?
Sure, Rocky is great. Still the only undefeated champ in the history of heavyweight boxing. That's impressive.
I believe he, Gene Tunney, and I guess now Lennox Lewis are the ONLY heavyweight champs in history to retire as champions, and not come back later for the money or other reasons and receive a horrific beat down. That's a very special distinction.
Everyone else's reign ends with them slumped over a stool, being counted out, or some other humiliating situation.

Remember when boxing didn't suck?
The Manny decision may have been the nail in the coffin for me.

I haven't followed boxing since the late 1980s-1990s, which was the last "golden age" of heavyweight boxing. There's just no pull to it.johnk5150 wrote:Remember when boxing didn't suck?

I remember the last "had enough/you gotta be kidding me" moment was when Holyfield "won" that ridiculous majority draw decision to keep his title over Lennox Lewis. I was pretty much done at that point and haven't regained my interest.
