WTF!!!!
In return for the reduced suspension, Vilma must agree to drop his defamation lawsuit against the NFL.

This pisses me off. Just another example of someone who breaks the rules, make enough noise while crying the blues and is given a lighter penalty.

Really? That pisses you off?

Give me a fucking break. Giving this guy a year off of football for some shit that NFL players have been doing since the dawn of time is ridiculous. Vilma is a football player. One year penalty is ridiculously huge penalty for a guy like that. Each year these guys miss is a HUGE percentage of their career. I could take a year sabbatical from my job, and who gives a fuck, I can just keep doing it another 25 years. Football players' careers last like 5-10.

Save your righteous rage for Wall Street guys who destroy our economy and escape unpunished. It's not like he killed 5 guys and is doing community service. This whole bounty thing is ridiculously overblown, and the right guys (Peyton and Williams, who run the show and should know better) should bear the brunt of the punishment.

Half a season off is PLENTY for Vilma.

Somebody got duped at ESPN:

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/jona ... fer-080612
I hope the report is inaccurate. Poor journalism at ESPN definitely exists.

Anybody with 1/2 a brain can foresee a scenario where the NFL will do just about anything they can to avoid a lawsuit for defamation.

I tend to agree with that.
Well let him be an absolute sweetheart somewhere that he won't be embarrassing himself. Not on a football field, for instance.
I bet Jets fans agree with that.

har har har

I really don't give a shit what these guys wear. And honestly, I know virtually NOTHING about RG3. I have never even seen him play. First time will be on Thursday's preseason game if I can find it online.

I'm just caught up in the hype.

But I'm an easy guy to please. I actually LIKED the Rex Grossman era. Yeah, he kinda sucked, but it was certainly the most entertaining QB play we've had in Washington in about 20 years. I think he's a solid backup and I'm glad he's still around. He made some clutch throws last year (along with his usual blunders) and I could see him stepping in and making some magic happen in limited spot duty if called upon.

This Kirk Cousins guy I have no fucking idea about. Reports in camp are that he's looked awful. That 4th round pick would have been better spent on another lineman.

I wish I had some shit to sling at Christian Ponder but it's not like I know shit about him either. But hey, at least I can say the Vikings were involved in the second-worst trade involving Donavan McNabb ever. It's not often the Skins come out on the top side of a trade so we got that going for us.

And I know it's just preseason conjecture, but most the "experts" are sizing the Vikings up as one of the worst 2 or 3 NFL teams this season.

And once again, sorry about messing up AP's ACL in that meaningless game between the Skins and the Vikes last season. Hey, shit happens.

What does any of that have to do with you hating on a fine young man like Timothy Richard Tebow?

I don't hate him, really. His "I'd lick Christ's Taint" act isn't even close to the most obnoxious I've ever seen in the NFL - that title remains securely on Kurt Warner's resume and will likely never be relinquished. For a religious freak he actually stows that shit most of the time. And if I hated every moron who does a skypoint/tebow every time he scores on the field I wouldn't be able to watch the NFL.

But Tebowtards like Lahahahaharocker and retardfromthegrave are some of the creepiest NFL fans in history, and Tebow's throwing mechanics make Babe Laufenberg look like YA Tittle. The whole circus is getting stale and I wish he'd just become a running back or disappear already.

RG3 became the fastest player in the league when he was drafted.

Grossman is like an abusive partner. You love him and hate him at the same time.

The MF'er is special no doubt about that.
I follow the Oklahoma Sooners and Baylor the team he played for had been a joke ever since the Big 12 had formed and that fucker single handidly beat the much better Sooner's last year.

As a Redskin fan you've got a lot to be excited about.

Only problem there might be is if he tries to be Vick 2.0, QB's just don't last that long taking that kind of beating.

I agree. I think the Eagles' huge investment in Vick is going to turn out to be a disaster. He can't stay healthy and he's not getting any younger.

Yep and that's where the rookie wage scale comes in perfect if for some reason RG3 tries to be Vick 2.0 and in 4 years Shanahan or who ever can't correct the problem just get rid of him and try again.

That being said I think the coaches realize that and probably RG3 does too and he'll try to be more of a classic type QB and keep the running to a minimum.

If he can stay in the pocket and with his speed and elusiveness he'll drive defenses crazy.

Yeah, I know the feeling. It suddenly occurred to me yesterday that the Redskins lost the Super Bowl to the Raiders 30 years ago and it really hurt.

The fact of the matter is he's black and he can run, so naturally everyone assumes he's gonna be Randall Cunningham/Vick 2.0 and will spend most of his career injured. I have hunch there's a bit more to him than that.

And it was the livelihood of the guys he set out to purposefully injure too. I'm not honestly sure where the suspension line should be drawn, but that logic is not the best way to make an argument on the matter IMO.

The problem is he can run, so he will. Steve Young was a great qb, but his career would'nt have lasted as long if he had been a starter for his whole career, imo. The guys who can run, will.

And on top of that he ran his ass off as a QB in the Big 12.

I stated what I think he can do just a few post up from here I don't give a fuck what color he is I'm just saying that while he was in college he ran alot.

Nothing wrong with that but you got to change your ways when you play on Sunday's.

Another thing is that the skins line always sucks.

But a good qb can make a line look a lot better so we shall see.

Like I said before, RG3 will be a bust. Yeah, he's big, he's fast, and has a cannon for an arm. So did JaMarcus Russell. Means NOTHING. RG3 never played in a pro system. It remains to be seen whether or not he can adapt to the NFL game, which is vastly different to what he's used to. We'll see if he can handle it mentally. My money is on NO.

Luck, on the other hand, played in a pro system in college. He's already showcasing his knowledge of the game in training camp. Not only does he already know the entire playbook like the back of his hand, but he is calling audibles and checking down to plays that most of the offense doesn't even know yet. He is miles ahead of where he should be, and this is just two weeks into camp. Every analyst that has watched him in camp has stated he looks like a 2nd or 3rd year pro already. This is exciting because we are watching a Hall of Famer in the making. With Luck, it's not a matter of IF, but when, he begins dominating the league and winning MVPs. There is zero doubt in my mind.

On the defensive side, it's not only a new system, but a new culture as well. This is going to be a big, strong, hard hitting defense. Players were even caught off guard by how physical the practices have been, much more so than in the past. It's clear this is a new era. The team is building a new identity on defense, one that will scare opposing offenses in a very short amount of time. Everyone has bought in and it is an exciting time right now in Colts camp.

Well, they're both black.

Jamarcus Russell only got grafted that high because he crushed Notre Dame's High School defense in the Sugar Bowl.
