Terrible thing this globalisation...

GM also happen to have completely separate entities such as GM Europe, who surprise surprise, manufacture in Europe. Add in the fact that countries like China have massive import duties, you're pricing yourself out of the market by not manufacturing locally.

But don't let the facts get in the way of your anger of course...
