Looks like T.O.'s unemployed again..

Terrell Owens says he is "no longer" a member of the Seattle Seahawks.

The 38-year-old wide receiver posted the news on his Twitter account.

"I'm no longer a Seahawk. I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I'm truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver."

Owens signed a one-year deal with Seattle earlier this month, just days before the first preseason game.

He played the second and third preseason games for Seattle, but caught only one pass.

Owens did not play in the NFL last season. He has started 201 of the 219 regular-season NFL games he has played. He has 1,078 receptions for 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns - the second most in league history.

I have a strong suspicion that Flynn may be suffering from Matt Cassellittis, AKA, half ass decent QB made to look like a super star in the making after performing well with the equivalent of the Beatles as teammates.

So I missed the big Redskins Preseason Luck/RG3 showdown.

I understand both played well.

Eagerly awaiting P13's fair, balanced, and exclamation point-laden breakdown of the performances.

Also welcome any non-retards who want to chime in.

I watched the game. It was the most over hyped meaningless game in history. However, I liked what I saw from both QBs. Both played well, and neither one "won" the supposed battle. Luck showed good patience and the ability to make good throws under pressure. Protection was dismal and must improve. Luck's touchdown pass was nothing short of outstanding.

RG3 made some good throws, with the exception of his several deep ball attempts, which were off the mark. He made some nice throws and showed the ability to escape heavy pressure. I'd be worried about his tendency to scramble and run when he can't find an open man. That's not how you have success in the long term in the NFL. When the season starts and he finds it even harder to find an open man, his tendency to run might even increase. He has said he wants to be a pocket passer, we'll see if that actually happens.

Perhaps the more telling aspects of these two QBs came after the game. When asked about his performance, RG3 spoke glowingly about himself and said he played well and hasn't had a bad game yet. That's not what I would want to hear if I were a Skins fan. Luck, on the other hand, said he was not happy and would use the game as a learning experience. As a Colts fan, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Even though he had a good game by most measures, he's always critical of his performances, and looks for ways to improve. Reminds me of the last guy who used to play QB here.

Colts got a lot better today with the acquisition of Vontae Davis. CB was our weakest area by far, so this improves our defense big time. I'm still concerned about stopping the run and our tackling has not been good. But I'm starting to think we can make a run at a playoff spot this year. The team is looking very good. Yeah it's preseason, but Andrew Luck looks like a guy who is going to play well from the get go. If our defense holds up, we'll be a much better team than most people are expecting.

Could be. But slackjawed yokels like P13 are always swayed by the "aw shucks" mayberry act.

This just in: Tim Tebow fucking sucks. Why do NFL teams insist that this guy continue to take the field as a quarterback? If he were black some assistant coach would have made him a DB or something by now.

Collinsworth pointed out tonight how Tebow stares down his receivers. And it sure does show on every passing play. This last awful pass he just threw he stared at the receiver for about 4 seconds. The next play, he did the same thing, and THEN looked at his other reads, and then got sacked. He sucks. He fucking sucks ass.

TO was cut by Seattle today. I guess it's really over for him and Ocho. TO - Hall of Fame? Gottta be. Ocho? Not a chance.

Luck looked pretty damn good again. If the Bears don't have Urlacher back on September 9, I'd take the Colts and the 9 1/2.

Is his NFL career finally over?
For a 3rd overall pick in the 2006 draft, once again the pick could have been used by the Titans for something that paid off a lot more.

Jerry Jones has the Dez Bryant rules in writing.
They are treating this kid like a child, but I can't blame the team. Dallas has invested $$ into this kid and want to do all they can to guarantee he stays on the field and does not enter jail anytime soon:
  • A midnight curfew. If he's going to miss curfew, team officials must know in advance;
    No drinking alcohol.
He can't attend any strip clubs and can only attend nightclubs if they are approved by the team and he has a security team with him.
He must attend counseling sessions twice a week.
A rotating three-man security team will leave one man with Bryant at all times.
Members of the security team will drive Bryant to practices, games and team functions.

Jets are in for a rude awakening.
They have an average QB(Sanchez) and a very below average QB(Tebow)
currently on the team.
Tebow looked like an ass when he celebrated, waved his arms up in the air, shouted loudly after he scrambled for a positive gain.
This is not COLLEGE son! Those type of antics should be removed from
your repertoire

Donte Stallworth was released.

Thought he was a lock to make the squad.

They cut Gaffney and Stallworth, who both played for the Redskins last season.

Gaffney I thought was actually a great possession receiver - he seemed to catch everything thrown his way - but he's no good for YAC. Still, was surprised when the Skins cut him (he was their best receiver last year!) and surprised he didn't make the cut in NE.

The Redskins today released Chris Cooley, who was one of our 2 or 3 best offensive players in the last decade. I know, I know, that's pretty sad.

Still, I expect he'll catch on with someone, he could help a team out I think if he can stay healthy.
