Yes, I am tall. I'm about 6 5 280. I can kill people. And I am the only person on the site with a head almost the same size as yours. But not quite.

True dat!

Neversurrender is such a bitch.

You'll notice I'M not whining about the refs costing the Skins a game. I just think they are terrible in general and bad for the game and the players.

But bitching about them because of a loss (though P13, you've gotta admit you are frequently guilty of this bitch move) is about as whiny as it gets.
The Vikings would've lost regardless. The refs sucked last night. it's not an excuse. It's just true. The Vikings had Erin Henderson on Reggie Wayne on his td., Sunday

When Leslie Fraiser was asked about that. He said he was confident our outside LBer could keep up with one of the best WRS in the last decade. That's why they lost. Because our coaching staff is a joke.

The refs still let the Colts linemen do what they wanted.

Sure, the refs are bad. I wouldn't argue against that. My point is, the regular refs made mistakes too, lots of them. It happened in every game. They just weren't magnified and exploited like they are now. What the NFL should do is get the regular refs back, and try to implement policies and practices that will force them to do a better job as well. And THAT is what the regular refs are against, which is one reason I couldn't care less about them. They don't want to be evaluated and suffer the consequences of poor performance. That's one of the big reasons there's a lockout, not just salary.

P13 blaming the loss on the Vikings coaches is an excuse? Who knew?

Anybody else notice vagina13 said virtually nothing about his team's week one loss, but hasn't shut up about their win?

I guess we will have to hear from him about 4 times this season.

The NFL is going to ignore this referee situation basically telling Las Vegas and the fans to go fuck ourselves. Mike Florio from profootballtalk.com just said they're not interested in settling at all.

And Jay Cutler is still a dick.
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

The Bears don't have much of a choice with what they gave up to get him. Who knew a trade for a QB could end up worse than giving up a number 1 for Rick Mirer?

My prediction now has wheels.

Bears fans were fine with giving up those picks because their number ones have been busts for fifteen years save for Urlacher . Still thought we were getting a winner and not THIS. He's Jeff george all over again.

Everybody looks bad when the shit is hitting the fan. People forget that even Jeff George had a couple good seasons.

It's only week two. As a Redskins fan I'm conditioned to say that. Cutler looks like a hot mess right now but remember how wonderful things were in week 1? Maybe those glory days will return. I think they can beat the Rams.

They won't make it near the 8 1/2 Sunday. Mark Greg's words.

I always do.

Do you know that guy predicted that the officiating wouldn't suffer with scabs - and who knows - might even get BETTER?

That guy is an idiot.

But after this weekend, the media is going to be all over the replacements and the NFL, exploiting every bad call and misjudgment. More and more players are making comments against them. Every ref is going to be scrutinized by the media for having any ties to a team which he is officiating, such as the referee who was pulled yesterday due to being an admitted Saints fan. The pressure is on the NFL now to bring back the real refs, so I suspect we'll have a settlement soon.

Loser leaves Sludge.

I don't understand why you belittle this anyway. It's only the SINGLE BIGGEST topic of conversation going on around the NFL right now.

The only idiot who thinks it isn't important is you. Big surprise.

You are just pissed that nobody is talking about Luck. He hasn't gotten a top billing on sportcenter since this season started.

I just think it's an overblown topic. None of the mistakes were THAT BAD. No team lost a game because of officiating. No one was hurt because of it. Also, I take exception to people who state that the regular refs are that good to begin with. They blow calls all the time. Like I said from the beginning, the regular refs are terrible anyway. These replacements aren't much worse.

It's only the biggest topic of conversation because the media wants it to be, and because people like to complain. At the end of the day, players play, coaches coach, and referees ref. End of story.

We will simply have to agree to disagree.

You do realize though, you are digging yourself a GIANT hole for when the Colts lose a game and you go on a ref rant, right? I can't believe you would have such a lack of foresight.

Unless you really are just so shameless you simply don't care. And the MARK MY WORDS thread is proof of that, so why am I bothering?

In the heat of the moment, I have blamed refs for losses in the past. However, I realize that's a dumb thing to do and don't intend on doing so in the future. At the end of the day, a loss is a loss, and a win is a win. No excuses, no explanations.

This is frankly the most amazing thing I've ever seen you type, and that's something.

Well ok, I guess we'll see. I don't think you've EVER taken a loss here without offering up excuses. But nice to see you are growing up. I look forward to this new era of transparency and maturity from P13.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate was fined $21,000 for a blindside block on Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee, a source said.

Tate was not penalized for the hit, a crackback block that occurred when Lee was in pursuit of scrambling Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson.

Tate launched himself into Lee, striking him in the chest and chin with the crown of his helmet. Lee, who landed on his back with his feet in the air, was evaluated for a concussion and returned to the game later that series.

The hit was illegal because Lee was considered a defenseless player since he couldn't see the blow coming.

"I knew that I didn't hit him in his helmet," Tate said after the game. "I hit him somewhere down here (at chest level). But the rules change so much that you never really know."

The Cowboys were bothered by Tate celebrating the hit by strutting and flexing his muscles while Lee was still on the ground, although Lee called that kind of hit part of the game.

"Crackback hits, that's not a definition of toughness," Lee said Wednesday. "A definition of toughness is hitting, squaring up, being able to do your job as hard as you can every single play. That's at least what I believe. Anybody can crackback block."
