Other than their inability to stop the run, pass, or put any kind of pressure on Eli Manning, the Panthers' defense looks pretty good.

Are you kidding me? I guess this explains why Cassel went 11-5 his team. Everything they do in new england is systems based ergo brady is a good systems quarterback in the mold of montana. There's a reason Manning is the only four time league MVP and was the biggest free agent in NFL history (yes bigger than Reggie White) and the colts imploded en route to a 2-14 season.

Rod Smith will be inducted into the Broncos Ring of Fame on Sunday.
Pretty cool for an undrafted free agent.
And he's a classy guy to boot.

I'll never forget his first reception in the NFL. A 43 yard game winner against the Redskins over Darrell Green or the Lynn Swan-esque catch against Kansas City (saw that one live and in lving color) and of course the 80 yarder in the Super Bowl. Returned punts, arguably one of the greatest run blocking wide receivers, work ethic second to none.
Credit to Elway who brought him in as a consultant he needs to be our wr coach stat!

He was a great back. Possible HoF.poizond13 wrote:Edge led the league in rushing in 1999 and 2000. A true Hall of Famer.poizond13 wrote:Edgerrin James will be inducted into the Colts ring of honor on Sunday. One of the greatest Colts of all time, and, in my opinion, a hall of famer. Edge was instrumental to the success we had during the early part of the Peyton Manning era. For a few years, he was the best back in the league, until he had his knee injury. He ran the ball incredibly well, and sadly we have not had much of a running game since he left in 2006. He's personally one of my favorite Colts of all time, so it will be nice to see him get his due on Sunday.
But best of his time? H
e racked up amazing yardage. But over his career his actual yards per carry was good rather than great and apart from his debut season he never peeled off a rush of over 45 yards. A solid back, but not the game-breaker you're suggesting.
And neither of his best periods were clearly better than other RBs of his time.
His first couple of seasons produced a lot of yards, but he wasn't nearly as dynamic as Faulk was in that same 99-01 period.
And his back-to-back 1,500 yard seasons in 04/05 were great, but Tomlinson 1,300 and 1,400 those years, with significantly more touchdowns, and then hit 1,800 in 2006 with 5.2 yards per carry and 28 touchdowns.
And sure, both injury and a move to the Cardinals hurt him, but that's football.

Cam looked average last night. And how was Carolina favored over the SB champs? That was easy money. You know. If you invest.bigbuttskinner wrote:Thursday Night Football features two QB's that are currently better than peyton manning. I have a theory. When Steve Jobs died he went to heaven and was sent to meet God. God told him Steve, "you were a great man in life and even after you got successful you continued to be good to people. Is there anything I can do for you that you couldn't do yourself?"
Steve said: yes God make the NFC West not suck this year!

Re: NFL 2012 Thread
James' stats say he belongs in the HOF, but we will see how much credit he get gets from the voters. They seem to pick and choose who deserves what credit for a team's success. It does seem that they value a good RB over a good WR in this passing age, and give the QBS all the credit.
Fuck the NFL HOF.
Fuck the NFL HOF.
