Social Network 7/10
Saw it for the 2nd time from beginning to end over the weekend.

The script was terrific. Sorkin wrote a fantastic screenplay.
Not sure the casting was 100%, but that's another story.

The Dictator. The worst Sacha Baron Cohen but still had plenty of lol moments. Worthy of a netflixing. 6/10

I thought Bruno was more provocative and really took some shots at America's homophobia, but it was essentially Borat about a flamboyant gay dude. The Dictator, IMHO, was Sacha Baron Cohen delving into Pauly Shore territory with some of the subplots.

I understand Dictator was a scripted movie compared to Borat & Bruno, but I enjoyed it more than Bruno. But I get your point.

Factory Girl (2006) - 8/10. Sienna Miller as Edie Sedgwick is amazing to watch, both because of her looks and that acting stuff.

I'll Cry Tomorrow (1955) - 7/10. Not a bad movie, but the songs could have been better and Susan Hayward blond.

This. Actually better than Borat too.

But the last I saw was Das Boot (The Submarine). 10/10, pure German brilliance.

Once Upon a Time in the West - 10/10 - Brilliant
The Dictator - 5/10 - Had a few funny moments, but far to childish and predictable
American Pie: The Reunion - 6/10 Could have been better, but still had some LOL moments, I like the way they handled Stiffler's character in this one.

The Perks of Being A Wallflower 9/10

GREAT movie, with amazing performances by Logan Lerman, Emma Watson & Ezra Miller. From the YA novel, written & directed by the novel's author.

I saw this at a pre-release screening on Sept. 17th, & was immediately entranced by its' depictions of high school outcasts. Ezra Miller especially wowed me as Patrick, an openly gay teen in love with a closeted jock.

The film also has a killer soundtrack, including "Heroes", Dear God & other favorites. Easily the best film I've seen in the past 2 years.

DREDD 3D 7.5 outta 10

Was actually pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. Much grittier, like the original comic, than that POS that was a vehicle for Stallone. Lotsa good, brutal violence and gore. I usually hate CGI, but this one was fun. Overall, like a mash-up of Robocop, Warriors and Sin City.

Summer Coda (2010) - 7/10. Everybody is Australian, so I don't really get what's happening. It's a bunch of orange-picking plantation losers being sad and depressed about all kinds of family shit, and one of them is Rachael Taylor, who is super hot. Good movie.
