I agree with ya on the Heyman storyline angles, lots of ways it could go and should make for some compelling TV.
Somebody already mentioned how Vince is pulling out all the stops for the Raw's from now until Wrestlemania this is when it gets really good and pisses me off when I think how everybody can be firing on all cylinders but they can't do it year round.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Part of me thinks Punk turned heel because Lesnar wasn't around to play the main heel on Raw. Punk's in a position that any sudden change could set him up to be a face again.silent_eyes wrote:The night he came back was epic! I honestly thought that one moment totally killed every single thing John Cena had done in the last 8 years. Then is just gradually got worse and worse until he "left" after the PPV. Bringing in Heyman helped tremendously, but Brock needs to either be all in or all out.
I'll say this though... it's going to be interesting to see where Heyman's TRUE loyalty lies when Brock returns. Will he screw over Punk? Who knows, but I'm anxious to see it all unfold.
We could possibly see Lesnar come out of nowhere and cost Punk the championship, setting up Rock/Cena and Lesnar/Punk for Mania (or a fatal four way). If they go the fatal four way route, they can keep the storyline alive if the Rock cannot make a Raw - you'll have three other guys bitching with each other enough for it to make it. I could see Brock taking the pin from Cena (unfortunately) at Mania, but it also doesn't make Rock or Punk look weak. Gives Rock an out for not getting pinned by Cena, and keeps Punk looking strong and a viable opponent for the belt afterwards.
Brock's contract situation will be interesting, because all in all, I think the WWE paid out of their ass to get him but wound up with somewhat of a dud. He's been in two real matches since his return (Extreme Rules and Summerslam) yet sat out the remainder of the year because he's "saving up dates" for the remaining four months on his contract. I think WWE will have more leverage when his contract is up in April. If he's not going back to UFC, he'll have to accept a lower contract price and work more than 25 (?) dates a year.
Then there's the question - what if Ryback is the one to win the Rumble? Does he go for the WWE title or the World Heavyweight title? At this point in the game, he can't fit into the WWE title picture. I still believe that it will be Show vs. Ryback at Mania, and the two will have decimated each other enough to the point that A) Ziggler cashes in successfully at Mania or B) The Shield helps Ziggler cash in against the winner of Show/Ryback. There's also talk of Sheamus winning it again, but Sheamus had a boring run last year and I think it'd be a waste. Let him take on Ziggler at Summerslam.

He destroyed him, and Rock kept doing the same tired old lines and jokes. He said scrotum within 5 minutes. Punk killed him. Great ending

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
When someone makes the Rock step up HIS game, you know greatness is about to happen. You could see the anger building up in his face and he knew he had been beaten.
But it just makes me wonder that much more just how awesome a Punk/Austin confrontation could be. They're cut more from the same cloth than the Rock and Punk are so I think it'd be one of the best things that's ever happened in the company if it ever actually happens. Just the promos alone would be worth it.

Hoping and praying that when Punk drops the belt to Rock (and that is going to happen), that he moves on to Stone Cold. But will Stone Cold come back even for one match at 'Mania?ozzyrulz777 wrote:Dude I totally hope the Punk/Austin feud happens. As to the earlier comments, Punk really did destroy Rock. Fuckin loved it!

As much as id like to see an extended verbal war between Punk, and Austin, I kinda hope it doesn't happen. The problem is it'd have to culminate in a match at some point, and I just don't think Austin's got the wheels to keep up with Punk in the ring.

I'd read that Dixie Dumbass and the Huckster had thrown the bank at Bubba Ray in the contract negotiations, I didn't realize Hogan had pimped out his daughter for the deal. Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
TNA IMPACT WRESTLING today announced a new worldwide Pay-Per-View programming initiative for 2013. The 52 annual episodes of IMPACT WRESTLING on SpikeTV will lead to four, live epic Pay-Per-View events commencing with “Genesis” on January 13th, “Lockdown” on March 10th, “Slammiversary” on June 9 and “Bound For Glory” on October 13th.
In addition, seven Pay-Per-View specials that will be branded as “TNA Wrestling: One Night Only,” series will debut in April 2013 and continue throughout the year during the additional months. The 3-hour taped Pay-Per-View specials will premiere on the first Friday of each month. The first two “One Night Only” specials will be “Joker’s Wild Tag Team Tournament” and “X-travaganza” which will feature the X-Division.
“The Pay-Per-View industry has changed so much in the last decade,” says TNA President Dixie Carter. “The traditional pay-per-view wrestling model needed to evolve and we believe this strategy will positively impact not only the Pay-Per-View events but the weekly television programming as well.”
The company will continue to produce TNA Wrestling’s “Unfinished Business”, which are one-hour programs available on a Video on Demand (VOD) basis. The monthly titles continue to focus on the history of a rivalry or a specific past PPV event. These titles are available for two months at a time.
As noted earlier, TNA announced that they will be scaling back pay-per-view events annually. With those changes, they have also include alterations to their prices for those events.
The newly announced TNA Friday night pay-per-views will be priced at $14.95.
Genesis and Lockdown will still be priced at $34.95.
Slammiversary and all live pay-per-views that follow will now be priced at $39.95.
Bound for Glory will be the exception to that rule and will now be priced at $44.95.
Unfinished Business pay-per-view pricing will remain the same.

Genesis suffered from having barely any build-up, but at least the main event delivered. And Christopher Daniels (Kazarian, too) is awesome right now, so I hope they'll keep him in the title picture for a bit. I'm also surprised how well the whole Joseph Park angle actually works.

I'm diggin Daniels right now too but he needs to lose that damn scarf that he seems to love.
Big night for Raw Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker are supossed to be on as well as an angle where C.M. Punk kicks Ric Flair's ass.
Undertaker's WM opponent might be C.M. Punk so maybe we'll get the start of that storyline.

Yeah, having Park freak out a little and start turning into Abyss has been enjoyable, I have to admit.SebastianLeeDanzig wrote:Genesis suffered from having barely any build-up, but at least the main event delivered. I also enjoy Daniels and Kazarian lately, and I'm really looking forward to the Bully Ray heel return. I hope they manage not to botch that storyline like they have so many others.

WWE (or Vince) doesn't care about keeping them... he doesn't want women wrestlers anymore. He just wants pretty girls to work as valets or be in storylines.
Eve asked for her release over five weeks ago, and they never really tried to make her stay. Nattie planned to leave last month, but then became a spokesperson for the National Guard... which brings in a considerable amount of money for her... so she's sticking it out.
The bottom line is that the women are leaving because they're tired of doing all that traveling, and then standing around catering all day waiting to see if they'll get a meaningless two minute match. That, and not being allowed to pursue any outside opportunities.

Yeah that truly does suck for them. I honestly believe they had a clear plan lined up for the division when Kharma came in, but her getting pregnant threw everything out of whack. Then they let her go and it's like they just gave up completely.
They really had something with her too and the fans knew she was something different. Just look at the reaction she got when she came out in the Royal Rumble last year.

I think that was the first time that I was actually excited for a Diva to debut. They've pretty much ruined the division ever since they lost Lita, and even then, it was going downhill. AJ Lee had a pretty good crowd reaction last year and could have been a turning point for the division. Fact is, there's quite a few talented chicks on the indy circuit (and in TNA), and they're even starting to recruit some of them (Sara Del Rey for one, but she's a trainer of all things...).silent_eyes wrote:Yeah that truly does suck for them. You guys miss the Diva's matches!? That's hilarious. Ever since HHH took the helm, the Diva's have been pushed nearly off the show outside of AJ Lee. Seriously, how long before one of these talentless women end up in a wheelchair because they can't go in the ring.

I don't miss Divas matches at all, I just hate that Kharma got the shaft. Probably the only one that I've ever cared to see wrestle just for the fact that she destroys people.
