Didn't stop the NBA last season. Sure most of the fans won't be complaining.

48 games in a season is better than no games imo.

I was talking about the one where there was a drop pass around the blueline, maybe it was Gillies and Sutter and not Nystrom and yes I'm incredibly blind if you've seen some of my ex's! Not an Isles hater by the way and I can assure you I'm no Flyers guy although with all the ex Flyers on the Kings maybe I should thank Philly!

Earl
I know, but that one is the stanley cup winner.

I hate the Flyers, but I like Tim Kerr, he owns my Ice Flyers.
Even though I live in LA since I got the Ranger games on cable on W0R I hated Kerr as he would always burn the Rangers. We actually got more Ranger games on cable than we did Kings games if you can believe that. Of course that all changed when #99 came to town but it's too bad as the Kings had some good teams in the early/mid 80's.

Hockey is back too! Hard to get excited about a 48-50 game season but I guess it's better than nothing?

I would rather see LA/ANA and for sure Boston/Buffalo as those two teams will really go at it especially with Buffalo adding Ott and Scott to the lineup to combat the Bruins manhandling them last season.

My buddy's bummed out because he scalps....sorry, "secondary markets"....some of his Blackhawks season tickets and it's way harder to sell most Western Conference teams. Detroit and St. Louis always sell quickly, but Calgary? Nashville? Columbus? Dallas? Not nearly as much. He was kind of hoping for the season to be killed because he's getting married and he was looking for the refund.

The TD Garden is sold out for a Bruins scrimmage tomorrow night. Tickets were free, but 17,565 coming out for practice bodes well for ticket sales in this area.

Ricky D, benched in Germany's version of the ECHL, but in camp for the NY Islanders, looking ready, and 53.

Loads of pundits and the bookies are making the penguins favourites.

Considering how woeful their defense and goalie were last season in the playoffs it seems a little odd. Plus they have lost Staal.

Of course the pundits are raving that if Malkin and Crosby stay fit then they will be unstoppable. I have more doubts.

Even though I live in LA i am not a homer but I really think they have a very good chance at repeating. Unlike many teams who win it all they are bringing back 100% of their team with the exception of Westgarth who wasn't a main part so it's no big loss. The key for them once again is a motivated Penner as he's so big when he's going it opens things up big time for Carter and Richards. Should be a real fun season!

Way to play 2/3 of a game Flyers. Anyway...first game after a long layoff, and they picked it up after the 1st, but they definitely need to revamp that PP.

It's going to be a looooonnnnggggg shortened season in Montreal.

Anyways, we can use another top draft choice.

Wish Brian Burke was around to deal us a young, scoring forward and second coming of Chris Pronger, for say - Tomas Plekanec!

Great start by the Panthers 8)

Huberdeau already looks like a star.

And picking up Mueller and Kovalev for such a good price could be a genius move.

Bruins looked rather un-rusty.
12 players playing overseas didn't hurt.
