I'm kinda surprised at this one. He just signed a 3 year extension in July & won a game in the tourney.

I think he was treading water for quite some time now. Gophers haven't done shit since Clem Haskins.

He sucked at Kentucky. Way over his head

He won a title with Petino's recruits and it all slowly fell apart after that.

Classic case of big name, little substance. Often touted as one of the good guys in NCAA buckets, but he could not convince people that he gave a shit.

This year was the back breaker. He had a very talented team, reaching #8 in the country, only to have the all to familiar decline come February. Players revolted and he just shrugged his shoulders.

Too bad as I had high hopes that he would drag the Gophers into consistency.
