DDT's are for the most part an easy bump. If released correctly you take an easy drop onto your face and chest. My least favorite was always the fucking Powerbomb, Knock the wind outta me every fucking time.

Once saw Mike Awesome tossed over the top rope in ECW (by Masato Tanaka, I think. They had quite a few great matches as I recall) and land on the concrete with the top of his head. A big wet patch from sweat marked the point of impact...ouch. Surprised it didn't break his neck.

Successful bump or.....?
I mean Steve Austin broke his neck in a piledriver so if you want to top that you have to find someone who died or is a vegetable.

The Austin broken neck from a pile driver is very unusual. If you give a shit about who your working a piledriver is a pretty easy bump to take, They protect your head and neck and you make sure your hands are down to at least partial catch yourself. I've seen lots of Mike Awesome vs. Tanaka and how nobody ever broke neck is beyond me. Most of the real shit career enders are accidents https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWF1it7Ydfw perfect example

I never saw a guy that size do the things that Mike Awesome would do. Here is a *bump* courtesy of the late Awesome one.

Either one of the scaffold falls from the New Jack/Vic Grimes matches. New Jack literally tried to kill him in the return match. He even tased him before he threw him over! Then again, in the first match, Vic Grimes tried to back out of the stunt and then when they DID do it... he landed right on top of New Jack's head and cracked his skull and also made New Jack go permanently blind in one eye.

The first match fall with New Jack talking about it...

Nah that was a similar backdrop to the outside in the casket match with Taker at royal rumble 98.

Hardest bump? How does that work? Like what we choreographed went wrong and you actually got hurt? Or was it an actual real moment in musclehead ballet?

I don't know , Mankind getting thrown off the top of the Hell in the Cell by the Taker is a considerable hard bump...

Cushioning or not. That is like 300pds or coming down from about 25'...

Both of Mick's big bumps in the HIAC match with Taker were huge, The one to the table totally planned and the table gimmicked to help break his fall, The top of the cell giving way under his fat ass was a total accident the the tooth knock out and up into his nose was cause by the chair that came through the cage with him and caught him in the face

Not counting the crazy ass independent fuckers, I can't think of a more fucked up bump than the Mankind one.

When you see his tooth up into his nose that right there is some heavy shit.

As far as cultural impact those were the greatest bumps of all time. I think I was 15 at the time and everybody in that age group from 8 to 25-ish talked about those bumps.

I never wrestled but you always hear the same stories about how the move was "banned" and only extremely seasoned wrestlers are allowed to perform the move these days.

Excellent point mankind fell from the top of a cage while Poor Owen fell from the top of the arena.

Has there ever been any video of that shown, I know its macabre of me to want to see it but still I bet a lot of other fans would want to see it too.

I've seen fan shot video of the Owen fall and it was brutal, it looked like a rag doll dropped from the ceiling bouncing off the turn buckles. He hit and bounced into the ring and that was all.

Planned or not planned, gimmick table or not. That fatass flying off of a20 -25' cage is gonna leave a mark. You can't plan or gimmick gravity.

No doubt that top of the cell giving way was insane too. That dude took some serious bumps. ECW was insane too. Borderline stupidity, but, insane.
