That's pretty cool how you can insert your amps preamp into the chain with that thing. I kinda wish I looked into one of these six months ago. Since then I have been assembling a new pedal board, and now 11 new pedals later I am just about done. Probably could have saved a bunch of cash with one of those multis, but then again I kinda dig the old school approach too, with the separate pedals.Sleek wrote:

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...
I have a fuckton of pedals...literally a boxfull.
I just got tired of setting up and tearing down everything.
I play in a bunch of different bands, so putting one board together really wasn't an option...I would have had to either put one *giant* one together (which I do have, but got tired of dealing with) or put 4-5 small boards together...fuck that.
This thing sounds good, and does stuff you can't really do with single pedals...and my whole setup is two cords.
Then i turn this on, hit the preset pedal board for whichever band it is, and that's it.
It has a manual mode which is what I mostly use, where each switch is essentially a pedal, with the first switch being a sort of amp channel thing, where you put two preamps so you can have clean/dirty.
So, you have Channel A/B, Distortion/OD, Delay, chorus, three assignable switches (I have one set up so it engages the tuner, then the other two are weird effects. In one setup I have ring mod and octaver, in another vibrato and Leslie) the swithc on the expression pedal and the pedal itself.
...lots of control.
So far, I am really liking the FX as well. The octave fuzz is great and compares favorably with my Fultone Ultimate Octave. The delay is delay, lol. Sounds great. The verbs are good.
The only things I would change are I would take the chorus off of a switch, because I never use chorus, and make that control the reverb.
...oh, and my micropog is better than the octaver that is on there...the one that is there is fine though. Added to the ease of use, I doubt I will go through the trouble of rnning the pog seperately.

I have simplified and am getting crazy good tones. Guitar>korg tuner>wah>BB preamp o.d.>Mxr phase 90> CAE booster into a 1986 JCM 800 50 watt......tonal nirvana. Got lotsa pedals sitting in a milk crate now.
It's a long way to the top, if you wanna rock'n'roll!

Im all about finding a good Gibson for under $700, how is this one working for you and where can I buy one?wattage13 wrote:I paid $499 for my Jr. earlier this year. The black obeche fingerboard is a little odd but this smokes almost any import Jr's I've played. Best of the import Jr's is the PRS SE One. The finish is a little thicker than need be but they play and sound great. Agile used to make a decent one but the fretwire was so soft it kind of negated their value if you needed a re-fret in a year.
Also, what do I lose in buying a JR opposed to a non jr Special?

I have odd problems with the pedalboard size...
Like, I have this giant SKB board. It's got a buffer, power, headphone amp, cable tester and loops built in:
Now, the odd problem is, one band I spend a lot of time on a 24"x34" platform...so I put my pedals up there...no room for a big board.
I also have a lighting controller I am running with my feet that takes up another foot or so...

Regardless, these are inexpensive toys on eBay. I'm also gonna sell an Epi EJ200 Jumbo acoustic, a 7 string Strat, an Ibanez s570 and an Ibanex Artcore jazz box. Anyone interested?

They are actually pretty good guitars! If you change the pots/caps it helps even more... you may wanna go all out with new pick ups, but the pots/caps are a great start. They all seem to play great.

Thanks, I was hoping to find one that's been "fixed"
This was there at $200 when I asked the question, but it only had a couple FGAS type pics
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/ms ... 33869.html
But now they fixed the hole and strung it.
But personally, I'd rather have the PAF type
