He'll have his choice of job. The guy's a good coach. It's just easier to fire one coach than 25 players.
Who was it that traded Hogdson for Kassian again? How about the Edler contract? Jason Garrison?
It was time for AV to go. Good coach, but the team needed a change. To me, Mike Gillis has to go.
I will say getting Garrison was a good pick up, but he's made a lot of other boneheaded decisions.
In fairness, who would've known that Booth's play had extremely softened after his concussion issues, other than every other GM and set of scouts in the league, that is. Honestly, who would've seen that Ballard's play didn't warrant his huge contract, again, other than every other GM and set of scouts in the league? Gillis-bad player agent, even worse GM.
I gotta get in on that deal, and sell the tickets to all the snowbirds here, who winter in Florida.
Hahaha, YES! I love how this article is making the rounds.
My good buddy that I've known for about 20 years wrote that, and it's even been mentioned in the Globe and Mail.
This guy leads a crazy life. He's a lawyer, but he's almost always out of town going to awesome sporting events around North America. To say I'm jealous of him would be a massive under statement.

Edit - And VP Of Hockey Operations.
OK, that's odd, because coach reports to GM, and GM usually reports to a President or VP of Hockey Ops.
I suppose it's a way of giving him say of who's on the team. I really couldn't see the Avs GM, Greg Sherman, truly having more power than "St-Patrick".

Price is a stooge while Moj seems like some random booze hound that was given the mic. Good entertainment nonetheless.
And yes, Vancouver radio is filled with doom and gloom. And yes, I'm one of the "we need to trade the whole team!" types.
RIP to the Pauser!
i don't understand why people phone in to sports radio. isn't it enough to give your retarded views to your friends, team mates, family and workmates? i don't give a rat's ass what some jackass that i don't know thinks of the goaltending drama or trade rumors. the average sports fans in vancouver are half tard bandwagoners. they should beseen and not heard.

I would say a lot more than that mate!

I used to love sports radio. Being in the Philadelphia area changed all that. I truly believe that the lowest form of mouth breathers taking up space in society are the repeat callers to local sports talk shows.

Pens vs Bruins will be an awesome Eastern Final. Two deepest squads in the conference IMO, and the Iginla dynamic should make it even more interesting.

I concur. Shame I don't like either team.

You're going to have a minor league team soon from what I am hearing.
Awesome! What have you heard? We had season tickets for the Barracudas - the coach was a realtor on the side and actually sold us our house. I love minor league hockey! Maybe an ECHL or an SPLH - either way I would be happy!

I heard it would be higher than the SPHL. most likely ECHL. That was about 2 weeks ago from a pretty good source, so we will see.
I believe in the next few years Orlando and the Everblades will be in the SPHL. They are growing and just added two team form Illinois. I believe the SPHl will be at lest a 6 team league in the next few years. I wish the Barracudas would have stuck around, the league is way better now.
