Fast Five 5/10
No heart, plodded along, boring. 2hr15 min should have been 1.5 hours.

La Chamade ("Heartbeat" - 1968) - 6/10. Catherine Deneuve is some lazy entitled spoiled piece of shit, trying to decide who to bang for money in a dramatic way; also being super hot in the process.

Trouble with the curve (2012) Eastwood is once again playing an old bitter prick but Amy Adams and JT were pretty good

Just got home from this. Fuckin' brilliant.EddieVanHeineken wrote:"This is the end" 8/10
Loved it from beginning to end. Haven't laughed this much at a comedy in years.
Seth Rogan, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Jonah Hill, and Craig Simpson, and others, all play themselves and bring the house down in doing so. Friggin' hilarious!
Great stupid, stoner fun.

He didn't. Mainly because the character is a lot older!

Hatchet 3: 6/10
I think my expectations for this were too high. The pace was off, the jokes weren't funny, and most heinously, the majority of the kills were disappointing. I wanted way more from it.

Le fantôme de la liberté (The Phantom of Liberty - 1974) - 9/10. Best Buñuel I know. Classic scene: a bunch of people get together to shit, sitting on toilets around a dinner table, only excusing themselves to the closet to eat in private.

What if you're not a stoner? Would a non-pot smoking person find it entertaining?WOLF wrote:Just got home from this. Fuckin' brilliant.EddieVanHeineken wrote:"This is the end" 8/10

Exit Through The Gift Shop - 7/10
Probably the only person in history to get two random movies from Netflix
that have, one way or another, Andre The Giant in it.

World War Z - 4 of 5 Stars
Finally, a fun, fast, family friendly zombie war movie!
Notably, written by 4 guys (plus Max Brooks, the author of the book and son of comedy legend Mel) including J Michael Straczynski (comic book and sci fi legend) and Damon Lindelof (Lost, Star Trek Into Darkness, other nerdy goodness).

Not Fade Away - 7/10 Excellent soundtrack, decent story. James Gandolfini is very Tony Soprano like as a young musician's father.
Cloud Atlas - 8/10. Probably not for everyone (if you have a short attention span, it's not for you), but I thought it was amazing.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
It wasn't bad, I just expected more carnage. There was another ending originally, which was deemed too harsh. The movie was supposed to come out back in December, but was scrapped to add the ending we actually saw.WyldOrchid5150 wrote:Really? L'eau froide - 7/10. Kind of low-budget coming of age story about two troubled teenagers running away together. Awesome soundtrack with shit like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Nico, and Leonard Cohen. Virginie Ledoyen is hot in it, gets naked, then kills herself.
