Dr. Giggles - 5/10
I had forgotten how campy this flick was. Hadn't seen it in many years.
Some Like it Hot (1959) - 10/10
Just needed to laugh. This movie ranks amongst my all time favorites.

Excision
Don't know why this movie didn't get all the rave reviews that We Need to Talk About Kevin did, because these two movies are MUCH alike. Perhaps I'm just drawn to these type flicks because I work with teens but I think everyone should see this flick.

The thin blue line 1988 - 8 / 10 - This is the best crime-documentary I have watched since the original Paradise lost.
I thought Fog of war was just a bunch of drug induced rubbish...so I was very surprised to learn that this was the same director. This is the opposite of Fog of war. This is a real documentary.

Carnal Knowledge (1971) - 7/10
The theme couldn't annoy me any more, but Jack Nicholson was at his best, and holy shit is Ann-Margret so crazy fucking hot in it, even by her ridiculous standards. It's like she's sandy blonde and not a filthy ginger all of a sudden, that's the level of gorgeous I'm talking here.

That one's terrible. I was led to believe this was some kind of 80s horror throwback, when in fact, it's just cheap and boring.Facedown wrote:The Gravedancers - 3/10

The Human Centipede..

7/10. Acting was amateurish, but any film that features as much ass-to-mouth as this one does deserves high marks.

I gave this some thought.SebastianLeeDanzig wrote:Haute Tension ("High Tension" 2003) - 6/10. Nasty French horror movie with awesome gore. The story is really inane and random, though, if you care about such shit.

MST3K's Zombie Nightmare wasn't bad.
The original Dawn of the Dead ('78) also wasn't bad.
But outside of those two, Zombie movies are lame... and this includes all Rob Zombie movies, while I'm at it.

La vie nouvelle ("A New Life" 2002) - 6/10
No idea what this is about, really. There's a bunch of creeps fighting over who gets to hatefuck and beat the shit out of this hooker slave woman in some godforsaken place that might be Yugoslavia. Everything is filmed arthousy to the max and super bleak and annoying and you can't see shit and nobody speaks and there's no music and everybody is miserable as all fuck. Not half bad.

This is the End - 7/10. Some laughs, fun but hardly amazing.
The Hobbit - 8/10. Way better than I was expecting. I got burnt out on LOTR and probably watched them one time too many, but this was pretty damn good. Might check out the next installment at the cinema when it comes out.

Anna Nicole Smith - Lifetime movie. I'll give it a 9 - Agnes Bruckner looked just like her! What a sad story.
I liked the line in the movie......
"if you ask me, god played a horrible trick on people - why did he make things that are bad for people so gosh darn fun!"

Would You Rather: 6.5/10
A decent enough horror thriller on its own to earn a passing grade from me, but with a couple added touches to it, I think it could have been even better... like an 8.
Vague-ish spoiler alert - so be warned
The screenplay could have benefited with a little more back story on the other characters, instead of making them seem expendable.
It also should have had punchier ending, one which put the blame back on the main antagonist.

The Evil Dead Remake - 7.5/10.
Didnt think f'n with a classic was a cool, but I stand corrected. Pretty decent take on the original with a new twist and, most importantly, one of the goriest big larger budget flicks I have seen.
