Maybe people would take your obviously intelligent viewpoints seriously if you didn't cloak your opinions in the "contrarian devil's advocate asshole" stance that every single one of your posts reeks of. Either you're the European Sludge curmudgeon or someone with valid thoughts on the issue. Hard to have it both ways on here, either you're going to be ignored or..well, be ignored.

I tend to quickly drift into Tourette territory when quasi-racists like brotherplanet or BlackCrypt pretend they're involved with issues of global importance only to blithely disregard any and all aspects not suiting their domestic agenda, but I never engage in political debates just to be contrarian. Everything I said on this war are genuine opinions, laid out in the most nuanced way my convictions allow it. I find it impossible not to get emotional when constantly faced with blatant ignorance of the complexity of conflicts in the Middle East, and that trumps any online shtick I might have going on here.

Pretty much every response I see from SLD is so anger filled from the offset that I dismiss everything that is said. But it is fun poking once in a while!

So, which is it? Did you deliberately post an agitational article that you knew to be factually wrong only to troll people who have an informed opinion, or are you insisting on "your" view voiced by some unqualified blogger that's based on fundamental errors I pointed out, which can be checked beyond doubt through a five second online search.

Either way, you've proven not to have any basic knowledge on the demographics and politics of the country we're talking about, and you made it clear you have no desire to change that. You think you're worthy of anything but name-calling?

US will bomb Syria with long-range bombers, official says.

President Barack Obama’s national security team is preparing for a “significantly larger military attack than most had anticipated,” ABC News reported.

The unnamed official told ABC News the military action could do more damage to forces of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad “in 48 hours than the Syrian rebels have done in nearly two years of civil war.”


“The air campaign which is expected to last at least two days will potentially include an aerial bombardment of missiles and long range bombs fired from B-2 and B-52 bombers flying from the United States,” according to the ABC News report by Jonathan Karl.

“That in addition to a relentless assault of Tomahawk missiles fired from those four Navy destroyers in the eastern Mediterranean. Those ships are loaded with nearly 200 missiles, plans call for firing the vast majority of them,” it added.
