Crazy Levi wrote:Don't really know what to say about the Skins but I'll parse it in terms we can all understand: Apparently, they suck. They cannot do anything right - this reminds me of the team as it was during their October and early November last season. Except now, the offense is just as bad as the defense.

It's starting to look like RG3 shouldn't be playing at all. He resembles the RG3 of the last few games last season - far less mobile and saddled with a bulky knee brace. At some point you'd have to think about shutting him down and letting him actually heal up - Cousins might be a better option.

The good news for Skins fans? The NFC East might be the worst division right now in football. Nobody has a defense, and all have some issues on offense.

9-7 probably takes this division - they've all got brutal schedules.
Arent the past two games the first games he has played in since last season?

If so, its going to take him a number of weeks to get back into the groove. If he is 100% there's no reason for him not to play.
But you know more about football than I do, so I'm going to have to agree with you.

I'm not convinced he's 100 %. He sure doesn't look it.

But the prevailing wisdom seems to be, keep sending him out there, and he'll get better. I'm just worried he'll get hurt again. He's much slower than he was last season, and if he's really 100%, why is he wearing the same robocop-ish knee brace?

Is Seattle that good?
That San Fran quarterback looked pretty weak last night.

During last night's Seattle/San Fran rain/lightning delay, Rodney Harrison said he was scared shitless when he came back from knee surgery. I'd say that RGIII is not at 100% and even if he was, he's likely thinking about "what ifs".

There's no way he's 100%. I don't see how it's even debatable.

he looks like he's about 75%, which is how he finished last season.

The difference is, now he's playing scared.

This is a bad formula.

Yeah, it's not an ideal situation. You might be better off with Cousins right now, but you'll need RG3 to get back to being RG3 which Im guessing they think will only come with reps. That's a pretty big gamble IMO. I think I'd sit him until he can play without the brace at least.

That brace is ridiculous. It looks like the thing Mad Max wore. And he wasn't noted for his foot speed.

True, and some people's teams have actually been in their games and are still 0-2.

And some people's teams and their gimp QB have been blown out twice. Badly. That combined with the fact your team rarely ever even wins a playoff game anymore, must really suck.

RGIII reminds me of Daunte Culpepper after he tore his knee up. Except RGIII has a brain.

We are going through this again?

0-2 is 0-2.

And three Lombardis are still better than zero.

Being a Vikings fan must really suck.

Nah, but he sure doesn't look the same. Like I said, most men are not Adrian Peterson. Maybe your Lombardis can fix Humpty Dumpty's knee.

Yeah that was pretty sweet.

So the Detroit fucking Lions are coming to town. I love this because delusional Redskins fans have been saying "I can't believe we lost to the fucking Detroit Lions!!!" on occaisonal Monday mornings for about 10 years now, as if a team as bad as the Skins have a God-given right to beat anybody.

I have access to a pair of free tickets for this game (and a parking pass, which will probably be worth more than the tickets by the end of the week). I'm not sure I want to go, as it's a bit of a drive from NYC.

Calvin Johnson is going to be licking his chops at that Skins secondary. Like literally frothing at the mouth.

Fair enough. Peterson's freakish comeback is obviously in a class by itself.

Oh for fuck's sake. Just because P13 is gone doesn't mean there is any need to fill the void pf childish bickering he left behind.

RGIII is coming along fine.

How many times does it have to be said. RGIII had major surgery and didn't play the preseason what the fuck do you expect? His knee is healed as much as it's going to be, sure he's not going to run the same and he'll probably have a hitch as well. Normal surgeries that extreme takes a player 2 years to fully recover..Mentally, physically, timing, trust....Nowadays it can happen faster.

RGIII tossed over 300yd's in both games to go along with 5TD's. 2INT's aside he's hitting targets. Apart from the preseason, haven't any of you recovered from an injury? it takes time, he's healed but not up to fucking speed. It's not like you jump off the operating table and start launching missiles, one of the harder parts is gaining trust with your injury, his arm is fine but his timing is off. The funny part is how any of you clowns think it's RGIII's fault.

If SKIN fans want to cry, sniffle over the defense giving up 38 and 33 to the packers and Eagles.

Defenses tend to soften up when they're up by 4 touchdowns.

One thing is for sure, pizza or trophy no one named "Lombardi" is going to help the Vikings this year.

Who said anything about it being his fault? He's not fine. If he was fine he wouldn't be wearing a brace. Both Peterson and Cushing had the same injury. Neither came back wearing a brace. He's probably trying to come back too soon. Might be a problem, or it might not.

Yeah those garbage time stats aren't making me feel any better about it.

And one thing lost in the AP miracle comeback of 2012 is that he wasn't really "himself" till 6 weeks in - that's how long it took him to break 100 yards.

RG3 injured himself 3 weeks "later" in the season than AP did as well.

It sure looks like he came back too soon. Like I said, that brace is ridiculous.

Maybe the other team shouldn't be giving up 4 TD's.

You speak the truth, the game and a half I watch RG looked like a good QB who hasn't played in almost a year, not a shitty QB earning garbage miles on SouthWest. If that was the case RG would have 3 more picks.
