I can't believe how pissed Clevelanders are getting. This season is going to be a wash anyway. Even with Richardson the Browns are a 3-4 win team. This move is a little baffling because it's so early, but when they are able to trade down for the number one pick in April everyone will be smiling.NeverSurrender wrote:Sounds they want nothing to do with the people the previous regime brought in.dtmfs wrote:WTF, Cleveland trades Trent Richardson to Indy for a first round pick, that kids a beast and they named brian hoyer starter, fuckers are giving up already.
Remember how much they gave up to move up to draft Richardson?

Not a bad move really. Let's face it RBs are a dime a fuckin' dozen and for every AP there's 15 perfectly serviceable ones. I didn't understand why they drafted him in the first place, when they obviously had QB issues.Tymaster wrote: I can't believe how pissed Clevelanders are getting. Re: The NFL Thread
Exactly. How many current stud running backs were first round picks? AP. That's all I can think of. Foster was undrafted. Rice and Jones- Drew were second round. Gore and Jamaal Charles, 3rd. Drafting a running back that high is just dumb and the Colts just gave up a first round pick for the guy. It makes them better in the short term, but long term? Dumb. Cleveland got over.Crazy Levi wrote:Not a bad move really. Let's face it RBs are a dime a fuckin' dozen and for every AP there's 15 perfectly serviceable ones. Tebow can save the season.
Hoyer?
Jason Campbell is now 3rd string? Jason started about 70 games in his career to date and the team goes with Hoyer? I guess the organization is doing all they can do get the #1 pick. Little do they know Jax has the same goal.

Surprised they are going with Hoyer over Campbell, but Campbell sucks pretty bad anyway so probably not that big of a deal.
I don't blame the Browns for going all-in on that #1 pick like Indy did. Fact of the matter it's really not a bad move for a franchise going forward.
A lot more fans wish their teams would tank in that style. I know I wish RG3 didn't cost the Skins three #1 draft picks.

I think, I'd take Tebow over Hoyer to be honest. He did torch the Steelers secondary in a playoff game.

Jesus, it's scary how much those tweets reek of P13ness.
From the day the Colts fled Baltimore under cover of darkness, to the day they drafted Jeff George, to the day P13 first logged into Sludge its just been one douchenugget after another from the Indianapolis fucking Colts.
You know they celebrated Papa Irsay's death in Baltimore with drink and sandwich specials in Charm City. Obviously deserved given his douchespawn.

Week 3 starts tonight with Chiefs at Eagles, finally a Thursday night game that sounds like a good match-up.
Speaking of the Eagles and week 3 how much longer before Vick gets injured and has to miss a game?

The read option exposes the QB. Forces the QB to take a lot of hits during the course of a season.
Should be a good game tonight.
Chiefs are playing well and The Eagles defense is awful after 2 weeks.

Machado I was going to say something smart-ass over your comments about the read option but I'm not gonna do it, you're makin it hard though.
And yea Reid has got the Chiefs lookin pretty good speaking of read option Alex Smith had some good runs last week.

No one is "convinced" of anything involving Tebow. The season is going to be a wash, that much is known. The Browns know what they have in Weeden and Campbell is a known commodity. Why not see what you have in Hoyer?Machado wrote:The Browns QB situation almost has their fans convinced thatCrazy Levi wrote:Not a bad move really. Re: The NFL Thread

Could the Chiefs turn out to be one of the best teams in the league? It doesn't have to be fancy. All that matters is the W. The Chiefs defense is for real. I've been saying this since the season started. Nice that the national audience got to see it for themselves tonight. Also, don't forget that the Chiefs had like an 8 minute 75 yard drive in the 4th that made it a done deal. Awesome.
Re: The NFL Thread
That's one of many possible issues, he's a head case, locker room issues, total diva, possible contract issues but most importantly have you seen their Clevelands 2014 up and coming draft? Might be stockpiling draft to grab a quarterback? And a full team with the left overs.dtmfs wrote: Yeah that's whats crazy, you hardly ever see a move like that so early and especially for such a young promising player unless he's a head case and I've never heard anything like that about Richardson.
Cleveland has 10 draft selections – 7 in the first 4 rounds – in 2014. Following the deal with Indianapolis, Cleveland owns 2 in the first-round, a second-rounder, 2 third-rounders and a pair of 4th rounders as well.
Even with a good RB the Browns are still shit...With their load of draft picks they could get a QB "for once" an still add a lot of young talent in one draft. Pick up a few free agents and keep what good players they might have left it could easily make them a team.
The Cowgirls built a power house in a great draft from Herschel Walker...Then again this is Cleveland we're talking about. They've been drafting QB's like every year for the last decade? Maybe they'll get lucky.

I'd take Vick over anyone in Cleveland, Miami, Jets, Raiders, Cardinals, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Chicago "Jay Cutler?" Josh Freeman in Tampa and that Ponder dude with the Vikings.Heenan Snuka wrote:Vick sucks

Vick was handed a new offenses, looked great VS the first half of the skins and if we want to talk about the lowly Chiefs? They BEAT DALLAS, JAGS And EAGLES.. KC = 3-0

Re: The NFL Thread
It's possible, but not likely. You can't count the win over the Jags for much, and the Eagles helped them out in this one. They're vastly improved, but still a bit away from being a top team in the league. Denver will almost certainly take the division. They do have a relatively weak schedule though, so maybe a wildcard spot if they keep this up?Peterbilt wrote:

Hey UtahRatt its good to see some new sludgers to the NFL thread but I have to disagree with you over the I'd rather have Vick instead of Cutler deal.
Trestman has the Bears looking pretty good right now and Cutler has always had a good arm but he always got the shit beat out of'em thanks to his o-line that looks different this year.

The Chiefs are a lucky 3-0, great start but I really think it won't last. Alex Smith sucks and a team with a decent offense would have won that game by 30 points.
