That was a sick display of skill. Fuck the haters - if you can do that, do it!

I love that Thornton came to his defence.

Adam Oates was running his cocksucker about Hertl's goal saying it was showboating. Fuck that noise, beauty of a goal and 4 by a kid! This is the shit people want to see!

I like Adam Oates but he's wrong on this one. Let the kid have his day in the sun. I scored 5 goals in a youth soccer league and got shit, had nothing to do with rubbing it in....If you don't like it, fucking stop me!

I honestly don't think the kid was doing anything but putting the puck in the net. Again, I'm a Ranger fan, that was beautiful shot.

I just heard it on the broadcast so the clarity wasn't very good.
Sounded like Helix.

They've been playing it for awhile at Nationwide. I don't know who it is, and they always cut it off before much of the verse is played.

Sum 41 did a cover of it years ago, for a Canadian covers compilation. There were contractual issues with their label, and they had to call themselves something else (Pain for Pleasure) to do it. This is the version in question:

Its the only cover of the song I know of.

UtahRatt wrote:I poked around NHL and ESPN, read some stories, got some power rankings and break downs on how the Rangers preseason was ugly then came out of the gate with a long road trip to start the season. I get the feeling Lundqvist has lost a bit, felt that way during last years playoffs. Also read Henrik is stopping all talks with the Rangers and agents since it's a contract year. Hope it's a focus and not a hindrance.

Now it's time to catch up on who's hot and who's not.

Pray Boston stumbles and sucks. Rooting to see the Flame's at least make the playoffs. Maybe watch The Wings and the Penguins do well. Now if I can watch a few games a week it's down to what the NHL programing is like this year.

GM Mike Gillis has ruined the team.

I'd go on another rant here, but I've spent all my Canucks energy blasting the Canucks on Facebook the past few days.

In 2 years, he gets rid of the 2 cornerstones of the franchise (Schneider and Hodgson) all because he's incompetent at his job.

Also, Kesler has to go. The guy is useless now

You guys should have cashed in on Kesler a couple of years ago before the injuries started. You would have got good return.

And there are teams in far worse positions than the Canucks atm. You'll probably make the playoffs still. And then be swept by San Jose as those guys really have your number.

Wait a second, Schneider was a 'cornerstone' of the franchise?? If that's true, that's pretty sad.

Blame your GM for signing your #1 goaltender to a ridiculous contract, not shipping out your backup.

too bad it doesn't show the marc savard bite.

hodgeson is a gong show. glad he's gone. he held out signing in buffalo the way he did here. he's a goof that should have been traded years earlier.
the plan from day one with schnieder was to develop him and trade him. it was until he turned into a stud. problem with him was the panic attacks. that's probably why they couldn't turn the trade into something bigger then bo horvat. i still say the deal that was rumored years ago with columbus for nash and a prospect would have been the right trade to make.
gillis has done a great job keeping the core together for under market value. he's handcuffed in signing guys due to the cap space.
kessler trade? i'm open to anything that makes the team better. they need a big center that can score. they need to get younger.

Buffalo is a joke from all angles. Time to clean house starting with Rolston. They should bring in Laviolette today.

San Jose at 17/1 and Colorado at 20/1 are looking like the odds winners at this point in the season. I went to the Colorado/Boston game and they are a bunch of fast skaters. I missed the boat on them on the preseason bets.

Anybody watch the latest ESPN 30 for 30 film that debuted
this Tues night???

A tale of a dream that became a lie, and how a scam of such epic proportions plagued an iconic NHL franchise and almost went undetected.

That was hysterical when he got caught. Of course everyone he ripped off wasn't laughing.

I didn't recall the story myself so I had to watch the film. Especially since 90% of the 30 for 30 films have been oustanding.

That sort of situation would never happen today. The guy should be thankful it was the 90's and not the 21st century :)

He looked like a scam artist with his semi bald head and goofy grin.
