I forget the year... '03 or '04, either way, Vick was lighting up the NFL and the Saints sucked that year (as was typical up until '06, with the exception of a few Dome Patrol years).

I'm at the Georgia Dome with a buddy of mine, only shot to catch a Saints game that year for logistical reasons, and we're both in Saints gear. About 5 rows down from us is a Saints fan, somewhere between 9 and 12 years old, and his elderly grandmother. (I found out later that they bought tickets from scalpers and were separated from the rest of the entourage, why a grown man didn't sit with the boy is still a mystery.)

Anyway, Saints score and the boy jumps up to cheer; he is immediately verbally accosted by a few drunken Falcon fans sitting around him. My buddy and I don't like it. We call the drunks out on their actions, they begin to threaten us with such things as "I'll fucking stab you" and other rather unpleasant things while security takes their sweet ass time getting to the scene.

What happens when security arrives?

Me, my friend, the little boy, and his grandmother get tossed from the stadium.

If you were in Pittsburgh, the cops would have tasered you and beat your ass then thrown you out of the stadium.

Adrian Peterson's 2-year-old son dies

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN (CNN) - The 2-year-old son of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has died in a South Dakota hospital.

Police say the 2-year-old was allegedly beaten by an adult caregiver, who is the boyfriend of the child's mother, named Joseph Patterson, 27.

Peterson's father told the Saint Paul Pioneer Press that the injured boy is not Adrian Peterson Jr.

Nelson Peterson says the child is another one of the NFL player's sons, who lives in Sioux Falls, SD, with his mother.

Officers were called to their apartment on Wednesday and found the child unresponsive.

They rushed him to the hospital where an examination found injuries consistent with a beating.

Peterson briefly addressed the matter during a break in practice with the Vikings Friday.

"I really appreciate all the support that I've been receiving from the fans, the Vikings organization. You know, this is a private matter. I'd ask you all to please respect my privacy and not ask at all about the situation at hand. Thanks. Appreciate it," he said.

Authorities say the mother's boyfriend was the only person with the child at the apartment.

Joseph Patterson, 27, is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery on an infant.
