Re: The NFL Thread
Internal strife is tearing the cowboys asunder! They are falling apart before our eyes!!
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones always seems to have an uncanny ability to amuse or stir up controversy with his words, as he did Tuesday on his weekly radio show on 105.3 FM The Fan.
Jones indicated he believes that Tony Romo’s Hispanic heritage is a perfect fit for the Dallas Cowboys.
"We couldn’t have a better quarterback,” he said. "We just couldn't."
Jones added that he and former head coach Bill Parcells originally thought Romo was Italian.
“Then we found out that his grandparents were from Mexico," Jones said. "We couldn’t have a better quarterback with a background of Hispanic for the Dallas Cowboys.”

Congrats on your championships when the Vikes weren't even in the league and they still let you hit people.
And try to at least PLAY in super bowl before you get a big head.

Oh sorry, forgot the mention the Vikings 18 division titles and four conference championships to your 3 and 0.

Re: The NFL Thread
You're right redman, your 4-3 record and the fact the Vikings suck, totally erase the fact your team has blown like no other since before JFK was president.
3 division titles in 50 years?
To put that in perspective, the Cardinals have won 4 in that same time span.
Only a Lions fan would start talking shit at 4-3 knowing his team is known to finish seasons much like the Titanic finished it's voyage.

What's next, he's gonna tell us the Vikings sold more foam fingers last season than the Lions?

Re: The NFL Thread
It's actually worse than I thought.
The Bucs have 6 division titles and the Seahawks have 7, and they've only been in the league since 1976.
But hey, you're 4-3 now. It's all good.

Did Freeman get a concussion from pounding his head against his locker thinking I went from one shitty team to another?

Hey man, you still got more than the Jaguars. They still have about 30 years to catch you, but at this rate, you might be safe.

Re: The NFL Thread
Or maybe is was because he went from one shitty team to another and then lost to another. I hear JaMarcus Russell is available. Go for the tri-fecta of horrible QBs.

I haven't checked out how many the panthers have won, I don't think I need to.
That is some serious lifelong suckage.
They make the Cubs look like the Yankees.

Dude, I'm a Lions fan. You can't say anything that's going to get to me.
You on the other hand had discovered time travel and are living in the past.
Hey AP, how many games do you think you're going to win this year?

Th fact you're a Lions fan is the reason I can't stop laughing at you trying to talk shit to anybody, much less with a 4-3 record.Redman77 wrote:Dude, I'm a Lions fan. You can't say anything that's going to get to me.

But to Lions fans, 4-3 is something to celebrate. It's rare territory for them.

Re: The NFL Thread
I'm not sure on them either, but aren't they on the Vikings schedule this year? I do know of one win then.NeverSurrender wrote:I haven't checked out how many the panthers have won, I don't think I need to.
Yes, I'm having a big old party, everyone with more than one win is invited. Guess that leaves your team out. Your party will be at Chad Henne's house. I hear Eli makes a great bean dip.NeverSurrender wrote:Th fact you're a Lions fan is the reason I can't stop laughing at you trying to talk shit to anybody, much less with a 4-3 record.Redman77 wrote:Dude, I'm a Lions fan. Bert Favor got a phone call from the Rams to see if he wanted to play. Meanwhile, Tim Tebow sits on the couch by the phone...and waits.

His career is over. He didn't want to try another position. And let's face it, if Belichick can't make you improve, no other coach will.Rainbow Bright wrote: Meanwhile, Tim Tebow sits on the couch by the phone...and waits.

Took this from ESPN.COM
Radio station 102.5 The Bone paid for the billboard in north Tampa that carries the message "Fire Schiano" and the station's logo with flames in the background.

Can't believe how terrible the match ups have been on Thursday Night Football this season.. Just horrible.
Re: The NFL Thread
Steve Young is rich bitch!
Basically Steve will be collecting multimillion dollar checks every year till 2027 from a team he last played for in 1985?
In January, Steve Young will collect a one million dollar pay check from a 30 year old contract with The USFL’s LA Express and Thanks To Donald Trump.
Fresh out of BYU, Young bypassed the NFL to sign with the new United States Football League, which you most likely know. The deal? About $40 million over five years from the Los Angeles Express: the largest sports contract in history to that point.

In order to make this contract work with the fledgling team, Steve agreed to a rather unorthodox deal. After his bonus, Steve would earn just $200,000 in year one, $280,000 in year two, $330,000 in year four and $400,000 in year five. The remaining $30 million would be deferred over 37 years starting when Steve turned 28 and ending when he was 65 in the year 2027. The contract was backloaded, which meant that the payments would escalate to $1 million per year in 2014, then $2.4 million and eventually topping out at $3.173 million in the contract’s final years. Furthermore, Steve signed a $100,000 a year endorsement deal with a Utah-based bank called State Savings Loan Association, which also happened to be owned by J. William Oldenburg.
Just to be safe, Steve’s agent [Leigh Steinberg] insisted that the contract be insured just like any other annuity that you would purchase from a bank. That meant Steve’s deferred $30 million was covered “in case the team or the league folds”. This final deal point would prove very wise.

What the fuck is Tebone's net worth? I can't imagine he made a lot in Denver so it makes me wonder what Tim has planned, he'd rather make 10hr playing QB in the CFL over making a six figure contract playing a different position in the NFL.AliceManson wrote:His career is over. NY Giants 23 - Vikings 7
Did the Vikings get their ass kicked by the Giants? The Winless Giants? My god how bad does it suck to be a Viking fan right now. Shame Tampa and the Jag's aren't on the Vik's schedule.
Minnesota sucks so hard they should change the team color too lavender or lilac. LAVENDER PRIDE! LILAC POWER!
Skol Vikings, let's win this game,
Skol Vikings, honor your name,
Go get that first down,
Then get a touchdown.
Rock 'em . . . Sock 'em
Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Go Vikings, run up the score,
You'll hear us yell for more. . .
V-I-K-I-N-G-S
Skol, Vikings, let's go!
If GLEE wrote a Monty Python song for a remake of Erik the Viking...
SKOAL VIKINGS! A team to spit on.
