He's thinking you've never played before and it's because of pussies like you they've banned kick ball and all contact sports in grade school and made it a law for kids to wear helmets while riding a bike.

NFL has turned into Disney on turf because of bitches like you fuckwads. This new generation of fan's should watch golf or chess matches. Something to fit their fluffy personalities.

What would Randy White, Mean Joe Green, D.D. Lewis, Jack Ham or Jack Tatum say..

They'd say you're a pussy. If it's too tough go watch tennis.

When people say stupid shit like today's players are too fast and strong it just means they're too soft.

Players from the 70's and 80's could play this pussy era they wouldn't get hurt that's for fucking sure. It's today's players like Dez Bryant who couldn't get off the line in those days and if he caught a ball and got clocked he'd get up crying or need smelling salts.

But Luck isn't the Redskins QB, RG3 is.

So let's just say I'm hoping he remembers how to throw and see the field. Like he did last season.

I still put the blame for yesterday's disastrous 2nd half on Mike Shanahan's demon spawn. He abandoned the run for no good reason.

So there's my opinion. Now please go back to bitching about how much I post about the Redskins and RG3 who nobody cares about, except that they can't stop posting about the same subjects.
I actually really like RG3. My brother in law is a professor at Baylor, been following him since he showed up there. Even got to go to a couple games.

I think he came back from that injury too soon. Probably should have waited a bit more. I hope he goes back to being the explosive guy he was at the start of last year. He was fun to watch.

I'd actually take RG3 over my guy, Matt Ryan.

"You just have to go low now, man. You've got to end people's careers. You got to tear people's ACLs and mess up people's knees. You can't hit them high anymore."
Brandon Meriweather just became my favorite player. Sweep the knee! Just turn it into a NFL National Flag League already. Pussy league, gonna have to find the Rugby channel.

Poor hits to the head and concussions...They could add the pussy rules into Boxing as well, ok no shots below the waist or above the shoulders...In fact we'll make jerseys with a little center target, hit outside the target and get fouled and fined.
I agree with you to an extent, but hits to the head are starting to cause some of these guys great mental distress down the road. I played college ball (99-2002 for a school no one has ever heard of) and have seen a couple buddies have serious mental health issues (one of these can def be tied to hits to the head). It is in the leagues best interest to protect these guys.

Yeah, they're "soft" but they are bigger and faster than ever. It's reached an unreal level. I agree they had more grit back in the day. But man, there is nothing like the NFL. I love the weekends where I get to go to a high school game on Friday, a NCAA game on Saturday and a NFL game on Sunday. Doesn't matter who. It could be the Bucs versus the Jags. The speed of the game is lightning fast. The hits are so hard you can feel them in the upper deck of a pro stadium. Seeing it in person after watching football from the two levels below it just makes you realize in insanely fast and strong these guys are!!

I had been under the impression that Microsoft/X-Box Live was going to wind up with Sunday Ticket...that said, I can't believe they'd leave Direct TV in the dust. All the beer and wing joints are PACKED with fantasy players and here in Columbus the CBS affiliate often has to choose whether to carry the Bengals or the Browns. One fan base loses out each week, but the bar owners are the real winners. Whomever isn't on locally, their fans flock to Buffalo Wild Wings or Roosters or wherever. I watched the Browns in a sports bar yesterday and by kickoff there were no seats available.
I read during the off season that Direct TV felt the cost they are paying to the NFL versus the profit they bring in may not be worth it. Considering how many people get it for free from them I can understand. However if the rights go to another cable provider and they offer it for free to new customers I would switch in a second.

Come on Utah. I expect this from Retardsurrender but not you. For shame!

Even "tough guys" like Mike Ditka and Jim Fucking Brown (he isn't tough enough for you?!) sued the NFL for their negligence over the past half century or so. If these players knew that they were going to spend the second half of their (considerably shorter than they should be) lives either brain dead, immobile, or both, they might have demanded changes in the game.

You can be tough without being a moron.

And Merriweather is obviously neither tough nor not a moron.

Understand some of the rules the NFL is putting into place. But, some are just beyond pussified.

I , for one, can't stand the helmet rule on the qb.. Sure, if it is a spear ala Merriweather, then call it , no doubt.

But, when the defender hits the qb, or wr, whatever in the shoulder or so and that helmet leads up to the qb, wr's helmet? And that is a penalty? Now.. or, when a Defensive player barely taps the qb's helmet and they call it roughing the passer,

what a joke.

There are also way too many rules now. I can't stand all the replay timeouts, the stupid ass challenges.. All that shit, get rid of it.

The NFL tried doing without replay and it was a disaster. You don't remember the Seahawks losing that game - and the playoffs - when the Jets were awarded a TD despite being about 5 feet short of the goal line?

The NFL simply does not want a game decided upon when millions of people know that the ruling was a mistake. Replay slows the game down but it's a good thing. We can't do without it at this point.

As far as the head stuff you are right, in that a defender brushes the QB's facemask and they are calling 15-yarders. But ultimately most of these rules are for the better, and a needed correction from decades of neglect.

And the stuff people like Merriweather and Harrison are/were taking shit for were NOT borderline calls. This was completely egregious stuff.

Normally John I would give the week 10 game to the Bears, but with Josh McCown starting this should be a win for the Lions. Then again this the same Lions who made Matt Flynn look like a good starting option for two teams.
Bears won't win another game.

Roger Goodell needs to send a summons to Merriweather ASAP. Requesting his presence in NYC, at the NFL Offices.
Merriweather needs to keep his mouth shut until Goodell finishes speaking.
Then Merriweather should make a public apology and also announce
that Goodell has suspended an additional game for the inappropriate comments he made about ACL's and taking out knees.

When I went to Solider Field in the preseason for the Chargers game, the talk of the stadium was how fucked they be when (not if) Cutler got hurt.

I don't understand how they could go into this season without a quality backup.

A Washington, D.C., radio station ended its relationship with former Washington Redskin Dexter Manley after he used an anti-gay slur in reference to Hall of Famer and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman.

Manley was doing his weekly radio segment on WTOP-FM, discussing the Redskins-Broncos game. Aikman was part of the broadcast of the game on Fox.

Manley was asked whether the Redskins, who lost the game, were jinxed because of Aikman's presence.

"I think Troy Aikman's a queer," Manley said. When both hosts challenged Manley's insensitive comment, he said, "OK, I'm sorry about that."

WTOP released a statement severing ties with Manley on Monday afternoon.

"This morning in a live interview former Redskins player Dexter Manley made an offensive and derogatory comment," the statement said. "He was immediately challenged by WTOP news anchors Mike Moss and Bruce Alan. We were shocked and stunned and we apologize to our listeners that this happened on WTOP. WTOP has contacted a representative for Manley and informed her that he will not be returning."

Manley later issued an apology to The Washington Post.

"In an interview with WTOP radio Monday, while intending to be funny, I used a slur to refer to Troy Aikman," Manley's statement read. "It was wrong and insensitive. Anyone that knows me knows that's not who I am in my heart or mind. I want to apologize to Troy, but I mostly want to apologize to anyone else I offended. Like a lot of people in these times, I have to realize that what I thought was funny years ago doesn't work now. I'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again and hope you will accept my apology."

Dexter is a moron. Seriously, he's not a bright guy. So what do you expect when you put him on the air?

Really who cares. They were throwing him a bone and a few bucks, kinda sad that one of his only means of income is being cut off over a stupid comment.

Fantastic ending to a great game I switched back and forth too.

What is up with Dalton, is he an every other game QB? Sanu catches like a fucking penguin, the one that when threw his flippers should have him benched or sent to the Vikings.

He was average today, but all the talk going in was about how his last three games were all 300+ yards and 3 or more TDs. That said, solid QBs like him are a good reminder of how great the real upper echelon guys are.

Justin Blackmon suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Blackmon also was suspended for the first four games of this season for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

His latest suspension begins immediately. He will be eligible to apply for reinstatement prior to the start of the 2014 season.

I was one of those morons and I'll have to live with the results from concussions the rest of my spotty memory, tunnel, blurry vision, vertigo equilibrium headache haven life! And I've never sued anyone. The most I've done is whine and overstate it a million times.

So I'm watching ESPN today and seen Geno Atkins is out for the year with an ACL, the commentator says " Good thing he just re-signed a guaranteed $55 million dollar contract" "Our thoughts are with him"....Hate to see anyone not walk off the field but....Poor Geno? Sorry you're injured hope your family don't go hungry on $55 million? I was Deep Safety on a play where the WR in front of me tore his ACL. POP! Half pay disability, medical bills and a pat on the back is what he got.

Didn't RGIII have a Swedish doctor flown in and follow him around?

If you or any normal Joe gets injured at work, would they get the same treatment? Still rich? Rule changes? House visits? Do NFL players take a higher risk then thousands of other occupations or hobby's? What about the millions who play sports on every level or have high risk jobs and don't get proper care? If injury risk equals money those fishermen show dudes should make more.

Again, some of the rules I can understand, most are a joke. Today's game is completely soft. Take it or leave it, some can still fully enjoy it. I do....In between each fairy flag, ticky tack penalty, fine or 10 minute delay replay.

Big deal, I prefer the day's of Roger Staubach and Tarkenton over today's players who soccer dive and get up pointing to the refs looking for a flag or do a hula dance with each tackle.

Let's have John Travolta build a big plastic bubble around the sports world.

What substance! Check his phone records and see if he's been texting Arod. I'd like to see the NFL rules on PED's.

And to whomever I traded Cecil Shorts for Garrett Graham can piss off! Looks like the Jag's will throw 50 passes a game and target Cecil 45 of them.

Darrelle Revis and Richard Sherman sludge each other on Twitter.

Sherman sparked this battle in January when the 2011 fifth-round pick out of Stanford compared his statistics to Revis' numbers. "Women lie, men lie, numbers don't lie", Sherman wrote accompanied by a side-by-side image of his and Revis' statistics

Richard Sherman: Sometimes the truth needs to be told. Tired of the noise lol. Btw I am near the least targeted corner in the League. So keep the excuses

Darrelle Revis: I never seen a man before run his mouth so much like girl. This dude just steady putting my name in his mouth to get notoriety @rsherman_25

Richard Sherman: Got off my flight to this hilarious convo. So I have 8 picks 3 ff and a sack. My season stats looking like Revis career stats

Darrelle Revis: My boy @JohnGeiger_ got more followers then @rsherman_25. Sit down young pup & wait your turn.
“I guess he’s mad, you know,” Sherman said. "Something is going on his side where he’s upset. But he’s been out of the game for a year. What have you done for me lately? That’s the game. That’s how it is and that’s how it’s going to be.”

Revis is not a big trash-talker, but Sherman has a way of getting under a person's skin. Expect this to be further motivation for Revis to get back to 100 percent and prove to younger corners like Sherman that "Revis Island" remains unmatched.
