Thanks in advance!
That requires some deep digging. Vince owes all those old tapes and doesn't let them out except when he can control what history shows.

Guess I'll be sticking to YouTube.
Check out some of the classic New Japan and All Japan matches, They had some amazing matches back in the day. Hell Hogan even worked like he could.

I just bought the WCW War Games and Mid South dvds. Has anyone seen them? The War Games release is only 6 hours on 3 discs and I think the mid south one is 9 hours. I'm not sure if either has a documentary though. I know that WWE can just do whatever they want with the footage but I have actually enjoyed some of their documentary releases.

Montreal/Quebec had a great independant wrestling scene before the WWF went national. I grew up watching everyone from George Cannon, to Sailor White, to Mad Dog Vachon and Mad Dog Lefebvre, Gino Brito, a young Dino Bravo, and an even younger Rogeau Brothers. It was awesome. Then, Montreal's International wrestling had the Road Warriors here, Austin Idol, King Tonga (Haku), Abdullah the Butcher, and best of all the Garvin Brothers. The Garvin/Rougeau feud was CLASSIC in these parts, with the Rougeaus emerging victorious in a "loser leave town match" before 20,000+ at the Montreal Forum.

Once the WWF started emerging, they did a lot of cross-promotional cards until the big federation took over. I remember being in attendance the day Bravo turned heel. He was teamed up with the Rougeaus, vs Valentine/Beefcake, and Lucious Johnny Valiant, turned on the Rougeaus, and joined forces with Lucious Johnny' stable.

Good times and memories.

RIP Mad Dog - you were an original!

- Earlier we posted the video of John Cena’s interview with Neil Cavuto on FOX Business yesterday. In the interview, Cena revealed that his character generates $100 million per year for WWE.

Cena also said he has made a pact with himself to gracefully walk away from WWE when he feels he can’t hang with the younger talents anymore. Cena wouldn’t say directly how close he is to retirement but talked about professional athletes winding down their careers:

“A lot of these athletes that are married to their sport think this is going to last forever. Then they blow out an ACL, they look around when they’re 35 or 36 and their career is coming to an end and they act like the income stream is going to continue.”

$100 million a year? I wonder how much of a cut he gets. Whatever it is, I hope he's smart with his money.

I'd guess Cena sees about 5 - 6 % of that 100 mil.

I'm sure his "upside" deal is worth an easy 1-2 million a year, plus he's making a boatload off of the percentage of his merch as well.

Now this was taken from a website, so many grains of salt should probably be taken, but anyway:

John Cena: $2,750,000 downside/first class travel and accommodation/receives an additional 6.25% bonus for high merchandise sales – 10 year contract

The downside seems a little large but the other perks like 1st class travel etc. are correct. The WWE has a thing about not waiting their Champions sitting back in coach with the marks.

I always wondered how the IWC can find out every little detail about Pro Wrestling these days but coming up with the salaries of the guys seems hard to do. I thought since WWE was a publicly traded company, that this information would be easy to come by? Or is it the opposite?

I wonder if that 6.25% is the percentage of his merchandise money that he receives? If so,that has to be millions more per year for him.

If Cena is generating even close to 100 million per year for WWE, the IWC smart marks can cry all they want but he won't be leaving anytime soon. Cena seems like a guy that is smart with his money as well.

Last night I streamed the Bret Hart documentary via
Netflix Streaming.
Wresting with Shadows 1998
I remember the very first time I saw this film was on A&E(cable t.v.)

The film might be 15 years but it's still a great depiction of a very famous wrestler and his family.

Glad to see the WWE and World titles being lined up for eventual amalgamation (although I'd put good money on an inconclusive TLC outcome).

Also enjoying the tag teams WWE have going at the moment - first time I've said that in a long time.

Indeed - and I can see them fitting a third player in the mix (Rumble Winner?).

Maybe even a fourth via the Elimination Chamber.
I fear/expect HHH to somehow get himself into the Mania match.

It's the biggest talent payday of the year for the boys, The higher on the card the bigger the check so of course Triple H will be in the main.

This will be the first Wrestlemania that I actually go to, and by god, if Orton/Cena is the main event, you may as well rub dog shit in my face.

From Twitter:
Apparently after Raw, there was some kind of Spinaroonie contest featuring CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and EVEN Stephanie McMahon.

This however is how it ended. No idea how at the minute but we will post when we know!

WWE have confirmed a 3-disc Ultimate Warrior "match collection & feature". The project is being fast-tracked for an April release, thus warming up those HOF rumors.

Is it too late to get in on Wrestlemania 30?

With Warrior, Jake, Freebirds all rumored...I must go.
