The new Thor. (I can't even remember the name): 5/10
Maybe I was just tired but goddamn was it boring. I kept dozing off.

"In Her Skin" - Aussie film, slow start, but worth the wait if only for Ruth Bradley's performance. It also has the most psychologically disturbing kill scene I've ever seen in my life, but maybe that's just me.
Intense and weird if you like psychological crime shit. 8.5/10

Cat Women of the Moon (1953) - 6/10: super cheap sci-fi trash with some decent bitches and the best fight scenes I've ever seen.
Le Grand Bleu ("The Big Blue" 1988) - 7/10: beautiful picture about some weirdo's love for the ocean. It's a bit gay, but Jean Reno is awesome and Rosanna Arquette is pretty hot.

That's one of my favorite movies of all time - I actually saw it in the theater.

The Sheltering Sky (1990) - 8/10: good adaptation of the Paul Bowles novel with John Malkovich and Debra Winger (who's a surprisingly sensual and sexy lady™ in it). Actually captures the Sahara village vibe pretty well.
The Dreamers (2003) - 7/10: bilingual English/French flick about Eva Green's tits, and probably some other stuff.

The Fan - from all the way back in 1981.
Michael Biehn from the Terminator and Planet Terror plays the perfect asshole fanatic and Lauren Bacall plays the perfect, still very much jackoff do-able aging movie star of said fanatic's fanatical delusions. Superb action/suspense drama that Agatha Christie herself would have been proud to have shat out of her typewriter. 8/10

Dallas Buyers Club 8.5/10 liked this alot.
Jared Leto (sp?) was awesome imo.
Anyone know why he goes so far between roles beside TSTM?

"The Lego Movie" - 8.5/10
The first great movie of the year. Incredibly entertaining and inventive. It seems like a kids' movie, but then you realize that it's actually geared a little more towards adults. It's rather clever and fast-paced.

Midnight in Paris (2011) - 7/10: pretty good for a jew-pedo-rapist movie. Might be boring, though, if you're not into 1920s Paris culture. Rachel McAdams is hot in it, as is her wont.
Goya's Ghosts (2006) - 8/10: sort of a history drama about the Spanish inquisition, built around the life of Francisco Goya. Natalie Portman gets tortured in the nude; that somehow seemed worth mentioning.

Stitches - 8.5 outta 10. Awesome, Irish occult clown flick. Big, dumb, over the top fun. Black comedy meets 80s slasher...and CLOWNS!!
Like Shakes The Clown meets Jason Voorhees.

NAPOLEON DYNAMITE. I feel sorry for him, but it's SO funny. All of it. Big jocks beat the nerdy kids by the lockers constantly. That uncle. Pedro. And the prom. The end is great too. 8/10

Elvis (2005) - 7/10. TV movie with Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Elvis Presley. Pretty good, considering.
The Last Winter (2006) - 6/10. Supposedly an attempt at a horror-thriller with a The Thing-ian set-up, it starts alright, but ends as some sort of weird ghost story or some shit.

Her 10/10
Fucking great. I wasn't sure about this going in, but Spike Jonze rarely disappoints.
Gravity 9/10
Aside from some technical eye-rollers, a very good movie. The cinematography was groundbreaking. Dunno if I'd give the Oscar to Sandy, though. Alfonso Cuarón deserves best director, though.

The Outsiders
8/10
Should be right up there with Stand by Me n shit but it moved a little too fast to really develop the characters the way the book did. But holy shit what an amazing cast.
