Wow, now if only they could tie that 0-16 record the Lions own! I haven't been a Lions fan for all that long but if a team ever does, it will make me as happy as when Seattle won the Superbowl.

A ball tossing jugs machine fucked him up.

"In 2002 Stuart was on the field with the New York Jets running drills with their wide receivers for a piece about NFL training camps. Stu was taking the practice very seriously catching passes from Chad Pennington all day.

Near the end of practice the wideouts began work on the “Jugs” machine, think of it as a pitching machine for wide receivers, shooting footballs out at a high speed so the players can work on their hands.

Stu had been “catching everything that day in practice from the quarterbacks” and decided to give the Jugs machine a shot. Turns out Stu was a little to close to the machine and it was cranked up to high. Long story short instead of catching the football with his hands Stu caught it with his eye ball.

The injury was very serious and required emergency surgery. Stu doesn’t have a glass eye and has since had multiple reconstructive surgeries, "

Appears to be a big mistake. Unless Tony Gonzalez suddenly has a change of character, he won't be able to match the energy and passion of Sharpe.
Marino can go. He brought nothing but a calm presence to the desk=BORING!!

Shannon Sharpe was too much of a 'marble mouth'. I'm glad he's gone. They should have kept Dan, though.

They should give you the job.

Over to you, Machado.

Dallas at Philly today. If the Cowboys can run well, and pass well, and score more points than the Eagles, they will win this game. If they can't establish the run, and aren't passing, and are scoring fewer points than the Eagles, they will lose.

Thanks Machado! And how about that Jets/Dolphins matchup?

I liked both of'em sometimes it sounded like Sharpe's tongue was too big for his mouth but he wasn't all that bad and machado seems to shit on Marino whenever he gets a chance I don't get it.

I look at his single season passing yds record the same way I look at Hank Aaron's HR record their the legit records.

Either way the FOX NFL pregame show shit's all over the CBS one Tony ain't going to change that.

Marino was alright, Sharpe was kind of unbearable especially lately with the stupid glove thing during the pick segment and it seemed he tried way too hard to be funny at times. Marino was lucky to stick around after banging the intern so it's really no surprise he was let go.

Worst ever had to have been Montana when he retired don't think he lasted a season he was so bland.

yeah, yeah, yeah. write something original for once.
if my favorite team was not Dallas, people up in here would not target me and my posts as often as they do.
then again, does it really matter? this is a message board. take every message with a grain of salt. for all you know i am leading you by the nose.

Levi can have his supporter here, but the dork is still a Skins fan with a QB who peaked(not piqued) in his rookie season. Have fun with that!!!

He'll get the $. Three straight NFC Championships and a trip to the Super Bowl will do that.

Basically it's market. If San Fran doesn't pay him what he wants, you can be sure some other team will. I'm sure Dan Snyder is already trying to come up with the cash to buy out Gruden and land Jimbo.

This is a great story for all anti 49er fans. The team has not tasted success(winning the SB) and they are already crumbling.

Does Harbaugh have that large of an ego that he can't finish what he started in SF???

Harbaugh is great but all the talk about "Where's the respect" headline on ESPN is over blown. SF junked their entire system and staff from the GM on down and started winning the next day. I give as much credit to the owner, system and new GM who brought in Harbaugh as I do just to JIM.

SF don't need to rebuild, they have the team and system in place. Jim should get a ton of credit but at this point I wouldn't be afraid to find another driver, Harbaugh is his own worst enemy.

I don't know enough about SF as to who was totally responsible for drafting players like Kapperfuck or installing their mean Defense or who was to blame for not picking up some WR's to throw too, but.....What I'm getting at is Harbaugh isn't as important to SF as say, Sean Payton is to the Saints.

The fucking kicker...Wasn't it Jim Harbaugh who talked smack in the media saying Pete Carroll is done while they both were in college a few years back? I know Jim kicked some ass at Stanford but who's laughing now?

I wounder if Harbaugh watched the SuperBowl.

For those who are not aware, the previous 3 head coaching jobs for Harbaugh lasted 2 years, 3 years and 4 years.
At the conclusion of the tenure at Stanford, that school could not wait for him to leave the campus and move on.
What does that tell you?
Harbaugh is a pain in the ass and wears out his welcome.
He wants to be paid "Sean Peyton" money but Harbaugh doesn't realize Peyton has a SB win=leverage.

Kind of how I see it. Peyton has a SB win and is a players coach but Peyton's win was the biggest win in that teams history. Give Peyton the moon if you own the Saints.

Playing physiologist I figure Harbaugh being a former quarterback gave him the quarterback disease, like a lead singer disease. That kind of bossy my way or the highway never wrong attitude that rub people the wrong way. If he leaves SF it's cemented but he'll have a job the next day.

The more I know the less I like about him but now I'll always remember Harbaugh for putting down and disrespecting the coach who knocked him out of the championship game then won the Super Bowl.

I haven't watched ESPN or any coverages since SB Sunday but I'd like to hear if someone brought it up.

This story is all over ESPN. PTI has dedicated a segment to the situation for the last 2 days. I won't be surprised if the show dedicates another segment during the week.

If Jed York is smart he will tell Harbaugh to fuck off and have fun coaching somewhere else. In this day and age, I think an owner is better off keeping a guy like Baalke vs keeping Harbaugh around.
A very good GM is more important than a very good head football coach.

Harbaugh is pushing the situation to the max and the bottom line is, Harbaugh has not done enough winning to be the highest paid coach in the league.
He currently has a contract and I hope York tells Harbaugh to shut up and do your job just a little bit better before making these ridiculous demands.

As a fan of a team with a horribly shitty owner, I feel your pain.

Yet....

When Jones took over the Cowboys the team absolutely sucked ass from top to bottom. Aging players were showing up just for the paycheck. Jones came in and cleared out all the deadwood and brought in an exciting young regime, and within a few years they were winning Super Bowls.

I feel that Jones doesn't get enough credit in this regard. Yeah, the last 15 years or so have been a bit of a mess but it hasn't been all bad.

I can't give Jones more credit. Jones gets some credit for the 90's success but he gets ALL the blame for their failure since. It's a deep subject that worked out great for Dallas fans but no mention of Herschel?

I give Herschel Walker more credit for building the 90's Dallas team. The Herschel Walker factor instantly loaded Dallas with WMD's and pile of draft picks. Herschel arrived before Jones and left when he came in but without Herschel there is no 90's Dallas dynasty. Most insane trade in history goes to the Minnesota Vikings.

Next up, Jimmy Johnson. Jones brought his friend in to install the system and load the team with Herschel picks, Jimmy puts the team together and explodes into the super bowl then Jones ego sends Jimmy packing.

Enter Barry. Buy this time the team and system was at it's height and on auto pilot. They could have won the 3rd without a coach.

Jones once said any coach could have won super bowls with the team he built in the 90's...I think he recanted but it shows his ego and bull shit.

Are you going to believe an oil man who once played 30 years before or a top winning college coach who put that 90's team on the plate?

Jones credit: He knows money, passionate to win and willing to spend anything to get there. It's also his curse. Quote "Jerry Jones states he will always be the GM of the Dallas Cowboys"

Both egos had a doing in the end of the Jones/Johnson era...

Both were morons.. They admit it..

Might be just a scapegoat, but, Johnson has stated many times that he was leaving after the 93 Season/Super Bowl win. I think that is bullshit, but, that is what has been said before.

It was magical, what the both of them had in the early days. Yep, no doubt, that Herschel trade to the Vikings helped out and built the Dynasty. But, the players still have to pan out. Everyone thought Emmitt was taken way too high and wouldn't last. Jury was still out on Aikman, Irvin. It all just fell into place.

After the parting. Johnson did nothing in Miami to any extent. Jerry won one more with Jimmy's team. End of Dynasty, End of the Cowboys.

I do give them credit and thank them for the early 90's.. But, that was long ago and This douchebag Jones is further destroying this franchise. Quite sad really.

I still remember it...was bizarre. There was an owner's meeting, and Jones was drunk off his ass telling any reporter who would listen that he was gonna fire Jimmy and bring in his crony Switzer. It was pretty goddamn funny as Redskins fan.

Of course Jones kind of got the last laugh cause he did exactly that AND won a Super Bowl with Switzer. It is absolutely true that ANYBODY could have coached that team to a super bowl at that point. I've never really heard Irvin, Smith, or Aikman's thoughts on that whole situation, would be interesting.

Jesus Christ. Harbaugh was the ONLY person near the city of SF that had the balls to tell everyone in that organization, "fuck off! Smith is going to the bench regardless of what you're paying him and I'm playing Kaepernick". And it worked. Give the man his money and don't separate the phenom from his mentor. THAT'S why the Niners are pissed. They know they have to pay the guy or risk breaking up the band.

Come on....
Smith was an over paid bad draft pick who spent half his career under scrutiny competing for the starting quarterback job. Alex lost it to Shaun fucking Hill at one point so after 5-7 years of trying to replace Smith they finally did.
The Niners drafted Kapper to take over the job, he clearly out-shined in practice so they gave him the team. It was shocking to the fan's because we're not on the field but to pull it off when they did Kapper showed the team he could do it then he proved it to the world.

It wasn't just Harbaugh, the players and staff seen the monster in Kapper. Harbaugh didn't have Kapper locked in a closet The Niners have QB coaches, Harbaugh is a former QB, I'd bet everyone was behind the move and they convinced whoever they had too.

In Smith's defense he dealt with constant regime change and a ton of shit but after half a decade everyone on the planet new what Alex had to give in SanFran. He's a good QB but wasn't a good fit in Frisco. That's why everyone is happy.

As far as breaking up the band, that remains to be seen. Kapper is young, he's been bouncing coaches every few years to this point so it's not like Harbaugh and Kapper have developed some long history. I don't know if they like or sleep with each other.

It's up to the system and fans. Personally I don't like Harbaugh but for what he's done I'd pay him well and try to resign him...Too a SHORT TERM money contract. But that's up to Jim, if he's offered a fair contract and wants the moon who would you blame?

Smith is going to the bench regardless of what you're paying him and I'm playing Kaepernick". And it worked. Give the man his money and don't separate the phenom from his mentor. THAT'S why the Niners are pissed. They know they have to pay the guy or risk breaking up the band.[/quote]

49ers can pay Harbaugh some $$$ for averaging a 12-4 season, but he does not deserve to be the highest paid. NOPE!
Until he wins a SB instead of losing the game or losing the NFC Championship game, he has to settle for being paid well, but not the most.

49ers don't have to pay Harbaugh anything. They can let him walk away and coach a crap team like Miami.
Or they can trade his ego to Cleveland. Which would serve Harbaugh right.

More proof that Richie Incognito is a idiot, police responded to a vandalism call at his house. When they got there they saw his black Ferrari's with several dents on the hood of the car and the handle of a baseball bat sticking out of the grill of the over $300g car. When they talked with Incognito he admitted it was himself who took the baseball bat to the car.
