I wasn't prepared for just how good this was. By far the best produced, most honest thing they've ever produced. When they showed Hogan's deposition my jaw dropped. Vince crying throughout most of it was crazy too. But its also painfully obvious that Warrior is huffing & puffing his way through it and walking a bit gingerly.

There's talk of it airing on USA or another network outlet soon due to the response its gotten. I hope so. I didn't think they'd ever top Rise & Fall Of ECW, The Definitive Ric Flair Collection or even the Road Warriors documentaries. This one is very special.
So why won't you get the network?
I think they just sold me on it. If the programming is this good then I'm definitely down.

Are all the Legends Of Wrestling round-tables on there?

Kevin Nash says Punk ain't coming back & injuries are the reason he left:

CM Punk walked away from the WWE not because he was upset with his workload or billing but instead because he was devastated by years of injuries and financially shrewd with his money, former wrestling superstar Kevin Nash shared this week.

In an interview with Squared Circle Radio, Nash shared his experiences working with Philip Brooks and tried to quash rumors that Brooks left the WWE out of spite. Nash did say Punk appeared to be growing wary of the league’s handling of Royal Rumble, but more than anything he was in constant pain from working the wrestling circuit for years.

As Nash noted, CM Punk was an independent wrestler for more than a decade, performing in smaller venues night in and night out before finally breaking into the WWE. Over the course of that time his body began to break down.

“The thing is, you know, Phil’s not a small guy but he’s not a big guy either. And he’s one of the guys, he takes a lot of punishment on a nightly basis,” Nash said, telling about a time when he saw the wrestler backstage with a hating pad on his back. “We were in the trainer’s room and we were talking. I just asked him what his condition was. He really hadn’t even had an MRI at that point. I think he’s gotten an MRI since then and I think he’s got some degeneration in his lower back.”

Nash added that a return to the WWE seems unlikely for CM Punk given that the wrestler has been so smart with his money.

“You know, he’s not one of those guys that’s going to have 15 cars. He’s one of those simple guys,” Nash said, adding, “At some point he probably saved $4 or 5 million. Really, if it’s in a Lincoln National Fund with a five-percent return you don’t need much more than that. I’m sure he’s smart, he’s a smart guy. I’m sure he’s looked at it.”

Nash echoes the sentiment from fellow WWE legend Mick Foley. As one of the first wrestlers to speak out on the matter, Foley originally encouraged CM Punk to return for Wrestlemania 30 but later changed his tune and said Punk walked away at the right time.

“While I respect everybody’s opinion – as long as it is given in a respectful way, I have to disagree with those out there who find great fault in Punk’s simply walk away,” he wrote on Facebook. “I am kind of like a ghost that drifts in and out of WWE, but in my past three years of drifting, I have never been to a WWE event where Punk was not in considerable pain. Ice packs, heating pads, and visits to the trainer were as much a part of his daily routine as eating. sleeping, and wrestling. Performing at that level, in that degree of pain was only possible when accompanied by the passion that turned an unlikely Indy kid into one of the greatest WWE superstars of his generation.”

Many are still holding out hope for CM Punk to return to the WWE, and have even been gathering clues about a possible comeback. WWE boss Vince McMahon has referred to his absence as a “sabbatical” and Hulk Hogan talked about CM Punk being on vacation somewhere, giving fans hope of a comeback.

I marked out before the Smackdown taping tonight and met Vince McMahon (again) Road Dogg and Pat Patterson. I'm hoping for a decent show this evening but my hopes aren't high.

Is Vince still jacked for being in his late 60's? I'd flip the fuck out if I met him.

Just watched the Iron Sheik documentary.Anybody else seen this pretty interesting for a non WWE product.Put together decently has some good interviews but like all non WWE products there is always a lack of actual wrestling footage and there archival footage that makes there documenatarys so great but then again you get too see something that does not have the WWE vision or revisionist history. The Rock,Foley,JR and Bruce Prichard are all in there which is nice.I thought Jake Roberts was also pretty good in this.

Pretty cool also seeing all the old WWF guys at the convention in LA.

Never new about the his wife or daughters.Good to see how they felt about everything he has been through.

Thought it was interesting and ironic how they ask Snuka about how the Sheik changed after his oldest daughter was killed by a crazy boyfriend.

Shawn Michaels revealed on Jim Ross's podcast that the decision to end The Undertaker's undefeated WrestleMania streak was made about four hours before WrestleMania 30.

Michaels said at the end of the day, the decision came down to Vince McMahon.

"Everybody was stunned," Michaels said about watching the Taker vs. Brock Lesnar match result. "You know as well as I do that one person and one person alone makes that call. As much as everyone wants to think other people have some say-so in that, they don't (laughs). I was stunned like a lot of people. I was there when it all happened. I know what happened... I make the calls around here in my house; that's the way things go."

"I'm sure in Vince's mind, he's got a reason," he added.

Ross recalled his mindset watching The Streak end while watching Mania at his hotel room: "I wouldn't be surprised if the decision for The Streak to end did not happen at the eleventh hour. Or the weekend of." Michaels chuckled. "I can tell you four hours," Michaels said. Ross called that "interesting."

Ross continued that he talked to Taker at WrestleMania Weekend and asked how many more Mania matches he has in him. Taker replied to Ross: "I don't know. I'll let you know in a few hours."

Ross listed all of Taker's injuries and hurt body parts, Michaels agreed that all of Taker's health concerns are there, but Michaels said, "ultimately, it has no bearing on the outcome of the match." He added: "That's just a decision that's made. One person makes it. And everyone has to abide by it. The reasons for that - I don't know. Ya know, I don't know, you don't know, I'm sure he does. Like Mark (Calaway) said a number of times, 'I've got the worst record with that man.' (laughs)"

Michaels added: "In my personal opinion, I would have liked to have seen Taker undefeated and then retire. But, that's not my decision to make. Other than that, I'll reserve all my opinions to myself."

I work with a former WWE Diva who is still really good friends with people still on the roster... and she told me that the plan all along was for Taker to keep the streak alive (what Vince wanted), but Lesnar would stop bitching and moaning... and eventually got his way. Taker is so beat up, he can't really even compete anymore... and was actually a little relieved & looked at is as a way out. As long as the streak continued, he would always get challenges every year.

Brock was a hand picked opponent by Undertaker. He wanted to compete against him at Mania several years ago, but it never worked out.

Haven't watched wrestling much the last 10-15 years, but this was a nice story (albeit with a sad ending that was unavoidable). Props to the wrestlers that made it happen:

Bray Wyatt has become even more boring than John Cena. Seriously. I mean, God damn, the same old shit every time he's on television. Will this character ever develop? The ranting is WAY overdone and draw out. Who even cares about this "rivalry" anymore? Furthermore, where do each of them go after the PPV?

Also, I love how Kane is just nothing now with D-Bry out of the picture.

This is why ratings are the lowest they've been in a year. Your typical post-mania lull of shit booking.

This run of shows since TNA returned from their European Tour have been horseshit. You could hear a pin drop during the promos it's so quiet. Sounds like they're going back on the road again and taping shows.

TNA was on the right track until a couple months ago, now the writing is back to goofy, disorganized crap.
WWE is incredibly dull these days. Even Bray Wyatt, who I consider the highlight of every show along with Paul Heyman, has become more repetitive and boring.
Not much fun to be a wrestling fan these days.

Nice to see Kenny getting a run & props to him for staying at it so long.

I hear TNA is thinking of bringing back the 6 sided ring.

I didn't realise this...

Munch, the whippet-thin, smarter-than-everyone-in-the-room character, got his start on "Homicide: Life in the Street" in 1993. His first crossover came on the original "Law & Order" in 1996, and he went on to play the character on "Law & Order: Trial by Jury," "The X-Files," "Arrested Development," "The Beat," "30 Rock," "The Wire" and even "Sesame Street" in addition to "SVU."

I did pick up a reference to him in British show Luther though.

Payback is gonna have to be an absolutely killer show to top NXT: Arrival. That was one of the best shows I've seen in some time now. It solidified the fact once more that this is the best crop of upcoming talent that the company has ever had and it just keeps getting better. Not to mention that KENTA, Kevin Steen, Prince Devitt and Willie Mack are starting soon as well.
