Finally found 3 hours to watch the DVD for the 1st time ever. Friends have told me for years I needed to watch the film.
I might have given this a 9/10 if not for all the hype that preceded watching the film.
I was expecting many more graphic images, much more disgusting SS behavior. Not to say there was not any in the film.
Liam and Ralph were at the top of their game in this movie.

Still never seen this.
Or ET, The Piano.
+2. Just had a conversation this morning about why I have not seen E.T.
Never cared for it. What else can I say?
To be fair, my rating is entirely based on watching Elizabeth Banks run for 90mins in a tight yellow dress and high heels. She was great.
Guys, if your wife/girlfriend really wants you to watch a chickflick with her, pick this one. Highly enjoyable compared to the usual crap they make us suffer through.
Walk of Shame - 3/10. It's easy to see where they were trying to go, but it was so desperately not funny. All of the actors in this movie deserved better. Hollywood, please do not ever let Steven Brill (Mr. Deeds, Drillbit Taylor) direct another movie.
Surviving Christmas - 3/10. Ben Affleck going through the motions, pre-comeback. Gandolfini, Catherine O'Hara and Christina Applegate doing their best - probably wondering if the paycheck was worth being associated with this stinkfest.

Chef - 9/10. Expected it to be good with Favreau writing and directing and was not proven wrong. Very refreshing movie where he went "small" with the plot instead of every other studio picture being about a global threat. He walked a really good line making a feel good movie without getting cliched or schmaltzy. Great date movie, recommended for "foodies" and anybody else who wants a break from gore, kids movies and superhero flicks. The large audience even applauded at the end, which I haven't heard for quite a while.

I hate everybody who claimed "this is totally not just a vapid dog lover bitch flick". I almost chewed off my own tongue barely half-way through, but I powered through the rest anyway because I knew the piece of shit was gonna die in the end and everybody would be just devastated. How can people compare this to The Notebook? The only emotion I could muster was blind rage constantly alternating between wanting to beat the shit out of the dog or its enablers. Fuck!
One point each for dog death and Jennifer Aniston's boobs.
R.I.P.D. - 1/10 Absolutely the worst movie I've ever seen, turned it off early, fucking film gave me stomach ulcers. MIB meets Ghost Busters meets Howard the Duck. They should make cyanide pills for this flick.

300 - 8/10 First time seeing this and I loved it. Had no idea Queen Cersei was in it either. Great film and some of Miller's best work. Deducted 2 points because the 300 should have had on body armor, not speedos. I got nothing against topless men in movies, but when it completely negates common sense, forget it!

9/10
Fantastic movie. I highly recommend everybody run to see the movie ASAP.
Favreau has an instant classic on his hands. Very talented writer/director.
V/H/S - 7/10 Good and fun! The Skype story was kickass. The Succubus story was awesome too. The Grand Canyon story was stupid and the shaky cam was the most annoying I've ever seen. The wraparound story was horrible too.
V/H/S/2 - 6.66/10 - also good, but not as good. The GoPro Zombie story was great, and the Indonesian cult was good but could have used editing. Movie could have used more titties overall.
John Dies at the End - 3.33/10 Good premise, crappy execution. Was decently entertained during it, but pissed off to have wasted my time watching it at the end.
p.s. John doesnt die at the end.

You can tell Sleek had nothing to do with this…thats why it’s so entertaining
theglammerthebetter wrote:Kick Ass 2 (2013) a few good jokes and not much else Best thing was that sexy dance by Claudia Lee who was 16 when they made the movie
How many people watching this movie probably tought Union -J were made up and not a real band
6/10
Just watched that too. Feels more like a proper superhero movie than a parody, which is no good if you fucking hate superhero flicks. It's also a bit unnerving when people you know as child stars grow up to be hot.
Ended up surfing online and making dinner while the movie was playing in the background.
Easy to predict the next scene. The acting was bland.
The story was decent but poorly executed and poorly directed.
Funny. Cool story about a highly revered chef (John Favreau) losing his shit (and job) and his attempt to rise back up in the ranks of chefdom while bonding with his son.
Also stars John Legazomis(sp?), Dustin Hoffman, the hot chick from Modern Family, Oliver Platt and Scarlet Johanson.
It would be a great Fathers Day movie for a Dad and young son, but there is some Fbombs.
Sabatoge. 7.9 out of 10. Pretty good movie for Arnie. Liked it better than Last Stand and Escape Plan. Kind of a throwback to some of his earlier stuff.
North Dallas Forty - there's not enough stars I can give this one. Nick Nolte's best performance maybe. And I was totally unfamiliar with Mac Davis, but this makes me want to check out more. Even as old as it is, it's still very funny. And to American football fans, I'd reckon relevant.
The River Why (2010) - 6/10. Adaptation of the David James Duncan book about some dude sort of dropping out to spend all his time fly-fishing in Oregon. There's some beautiful nature shots and presumably a lot of deep existentialist narration, but I can't be sure as I only heard celestial fanfare every time Amber Heard was on screen. She's so hot you could probably still masturbate to the novel.
Bloods And Crips: Made In America - 6/10
Wasn't bad but was expecting more of an inside look at the gangs and the war between them but it was more about how and why they came about.
