What the fuck does this mean?

Do you actually know, or is it just something you heard on Sportcenter once?
Sportscenter? Who the fuck still watches Sportscenter? If a sports fanatic wants to catch up on sports highlights for the day, the last program you want to watch is Sportscenter.
So, you have no idea why you keep saying people are winning "going away."

Shocker.

Why won't anybody give the Orioles any fucking credit?

Their pitching has been very good as of late, they have the 3rd best record in the majors, and they are coming off a 6-4 west coast road trip against some of the best teams in MLB, and they just won their first series back home, again against the very good Angels.

Not to mention the Blue Jays are on a 9-1 tear. And even Tampa has put together a good run as of late.

But the Al East sucks because the Yanks and Red Socks blow this year, I guess.

Your not getting me. Both Baltimore and Toronto have been playing well, but neither came out like a force at the beginning of the season. That is why NY have been able to lurk around.

Guess I should have said "weren't playing to their potential."

Kill nailed it. Since neither team was able to establish a large lead a team like the Yankees have certainly been able to hang around.
You figure sooner or later 1 of these 3 teams is going to get read hot while another team will begin a long losing streak.

The AL East is not as enjoyable when the Sox are 13 games out and the Yankees barely over .500

I disagree with that. I for one am stoked both NY and Boston aren't in it. I thought for sure Tampa would be the team to beat. Now that Price is gone and they didn't get shit for him, they won't be.

*edit

SF officially DFA Dan Uggla and Tyler Colvin. Call up Matt Duffy and Jarret Parker from AA.

Bruce Bochy say's Matt Cain to undergo season ending surgery.

That's a classy way to go out. No fucking retirement tour where everybody has to ballwash you. Just an announcement and a thanks.

John Lester in his A's debut holds KC to 3 runs.

Even with the addition of Price, forming what is arguably the scariest rotation that doesn't feature Clayton Kershaw. I still think the A's are the team to beat in the AL.

Yoenis Cespedes got a hit in his first AB with Boston and scored on Mike Napoli's HR

The Tigers scored at least a run in every inning in today's 11-5 win over the Rockies. That was just the 6th time in mlb history that happened and first since 1970 ( Reds ).

Orioles just won their 4th straight series, once again against one of the majors better teams.

But hey, they are only in first place cause the Yanks and Red Sox suck this year...

Well, they are planning on making unnecessary and expensive "improvements" to Wrigley Field.

Don't forget Tampa Bay ( pre-subtraction of Price ) who were better than both Bos and MFY. And congrats on your Mariners "victory" yesterday. I wonder how many of the Ms are going to be fined for calling out Tim Timmons' strike zone. Check out the last Morales at bat.

Sonny Gray named AL pitcher of the week.

I'll give you a guess who won the NL pitcher of the week. Let's make it fun, you only get one guess.

Jose Abreu named AL player of the week.

Matt Kemp named NL player of the week. How long has it been since ya heard that?

Matt Cain done for season with elbow surgery. I don't think it's TJ, but it still sucks. I had SF potentially winning the whole thing ( when it was believed Cain would/could be effective ).

On this date in 2005, King Felix became the youngest mlb starter since Jose Rijo in 1984.

Angles put up 4 on Greinke in the 1st.....2ER...error Ramierz...Derp.

LAA 4 LA 0 4th - Ramierz at short....2ERRRRRS so far.

I was going to post Kemp has been on top the leaders board since the break but killing it for 11 or so games wasn't enough to give a fuck about. Kemps setting up for a fair year but a fuck load less then expectations.

What, a season and a half ago I watched a long segment about who's going to be the best player in the league, who would you pick for your team right now and every vote went with Kemp as a 5 tool with a great attitude. Haven't heard his name since.
His stock went down faster then a brick. I feel he'll bounce back but he'll never be The Guy. I'll be surprised if he'll steal bases again.

Kemps a good guy but reminds me of IRON MAN III, the IRON MAN that kept falling apart.

DOH. Wrong list.

I'll never forget Fernando Valenzuela, the likes of Ryan or Pedro but Clayton is quickly climbing my all time favorite lists. Right down to the quirk in his delivery.

Nomo, watching him pitch a no-hitter in Coors Field was one of those never forget being there games. It was so awesome but kind of quite, it missed that home game excitement.

All this talk lately about pitchers has me thinking of a favorite list.

Not a favorite but when he was in LA I liked Roger McDowell, he sucked, was fun in the dugout but in LA he had a quick smooth delivery I liked watching. Kind of a quicker Maddox but Roger could paint the middle of the plate. I never liked Maddox or most of The Braves studs.

Randy Johnson....Another unforgettable. I'll have to make a list. This is getting annoying.

Check out these videos of Puig and Pujols kinda starting a little rivalry by taunting each other. I found it entertaing plus it has Vin Scully broadcasting it and that's a fucking treat.

http://mweb.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-ba ... g?v=1&vc=2

That's kind of fun. I was planning on watching King vs. Cook tomorrow. I might have to check the LA vs. LAAAAAA ( still funny, Tinn ) too. Both teams are in the first place fight and Hector Santiago is probably the only person on the planet that has it worse than Alex Wood. He has to face Clayton Kershaw.

Ok how many of you as a kid owned and wore those baseball hard hats? We'd have to order them out of a magazine and wait like 6 week.
How many do you still have?

In order, obviously....LA, Boston, Pirates, Cleveland, Rockies.

As I just mentioned I wished Puig had Kemps personality. I'm getting use to Puig, it's a spice that with out a doubt sparked LA last year but it's time to chill a little. I think he's a hell of a player and pasted the slump test this year. Dude has been through a hell of a lot just to get off a boat and start swinging. It will be interesting to see what he does if he stay's healthy or out of trouble.

Dodgers always seem to have problems with the Angels and inter league play. last season during that torching late June to September run was the first time in a while they did well. That I can recall.
