It wasn't Bud Selig. It was A Bartlett Giamatti. I think Rose should never be reinstated. That was THE cardinal rule in baseball and he's consistently lied about it from day 1. Former big leaguer/MLB Network analyst Darryl Hamilton killed by his girlfriend, who then turned the gun on herself, with their 14 month old in the house. That's some fucked up, twisted shit. RIP.... to him:

Jean Machi off DL for SF.
Braves 1B Freddie Freeman to 15 day DL with left wrist contusion. Not believed to be serious.
Philly/Texas in serious talks about Cole Hammels. The Rangers have the pieces to make it happen, even dealing with Amaro Jr.

Kill
I know who the commish was and which commish sentenced Pete Rose.
Bud Selig had years and years to reinstate Pete and he failed to do so.
Why you ask?
Maybe Peter should have given Bud the one million dollar advance he received
for writing the book. That might have encouraged Bud to give Pete another chance.
I admit Pete made many mistakes and could have gone about the situation
so much different. His own ego was his biggest obstacle but that being said,
Bud also has blood on his hands. The PED scandal is something Bud created
to benefit the league and the owners bottom line. All at the expense of the players.
FU Bud and FU to all the fans who think the game was clean or is now clean or

Virginia wins first College World Series.
SF's Nori Aoki to 15 day DL with fibula fracture. Travis Ishiikawa recalled from AAA Sacramento.
Franklin Gutierrez recalled from AAA Tacoma for Seattle. If that guy can stay healthy he looks like someone to build a team around.
Hanley Ramirez suffers hand bruise when struck by batted ball. Awaiting xray.
Andrew Friedman says pitching depth the focus for Dodgers.

Agreed, I'm on the fence about liking the guy but fuck him and the HOF. He broke THY RULE. A rule that's almost 100 years old coming up in 2019. Picture today, millions of fans around the globe watching a World Series, then to find out it was fixed.killeverything wrote:It wasn't Bud Selig. It was A Bartlett Giamatti. You don't bet on baseball regardless of anything, no one will ever forgive or forget that rule, for fuck sake it's almost 100 years old and here we are.
How do people still not get this baffles me.
If he only bet on his team to win? What happens when he starts losing and can't pay his books? Or want's to make more? We don't know the truth and don't any of his supporters understand how this works? Betting and playing needs to stay as fucking far away from each other as possible. Players shouldn't even be able to bet on horses to golfing. Bookies don't care, once they have you, you are fucked.
You don't bet on baseball, end of story.
There are cheaters on all levels from minor to major infractions, then there are players who tarnish and pissed on the legacy of the game.

Kill, I just wanted to rant and let you know all the ball washing of Pedro Martinez you do makes me puke.
LAD gave him away then brought in and counted on Darren Dreifort, the injury plagued JaMarcus Russell of baseball. Fuck Delino DeShields for Pedro being considered the worst trade in history, it was Dreifort the Dodgers brought up and was banking on that people forget.
I knew from day one that skinny young paper thin Pedro was going to be a pitcher as I knew the first time I seen Dreifort he was a bust. Then after being a bust they continued to feed him money.
To this day it still burns me, I'll never forget watching them both pitch at such a young age and I'll never forget pulling my hair out on that trade and not only banking on Dreifort but resigning him for more salt in the wounds.
But still you never hear about Darren Dreifort, he's the key that opened the trade IMO. Something I'll never forget while everyone else has.
Chaps my ass. I hate LAD for pulling the strings and I hate Pedro.

You think the LA letting him go was bad? Montreal traded him to Boston for Carl Pavano. Pedro ended up becoming the most dominant pitcher of all time, even surpassing Christy Mathewson, and Walter Johnson.
In fact if it wasn't for the 1999 All Star game ( MVP ) he possibly wouldn't have tore his rotator cuff, which made him mortal. He blames being over-pitched ( I'm not sure if you hyphenate that word ) plus the ASG for the injury.
LAD used to be run by some Brian Cashman level dipshits. Andrew Friedman is at the helm now. Fuck LA, but it's scary as hell that dude is at the helm.

Oakland's tough, but I still think Seattle ( if they can get their shit together ) is going to be the team to beat. I also question Billy Beane's "genius" on the Josh Donaldson trade. I get he wanted to "shake things up," but that one was fucking stupid. He was cost controlled too. *shakes headDOWN2WHISKEY wrote:Five wins in a row & out of the cellar! Hallelujah! Go A's Go!

Pedro cheated, he used his own sperm to grip the ball. I swear he looked like he was 100lb at 20 years old, and you're dead on, they used him out of the pen but watching this paper thin dude throw was something else, the fans knew it and how the team didn't is mind boggling. Stupid as fuck move then to ride Dreifort for so fucking long for so much money. I've been pissed hearing his name ever since just thinking what he would have done at Dodger stadium.
Imagine what his stats would be like in the NL and at that park. Almost unthinkable.
I hate Pedro. Fuck um. Other then his years with the Expos because I feel bad the Dodgers and Expos didn't get to square off during the strike 94-95 strike. But fuck that year as well.
So enough with him. He sucks.

KC has no balls. Those guys are pussies. Probably was not intentional but the A's will make a mental note of the play and retaliate when they desire. Which hopefully is today. Maybe one of the pseudo KC all-stars will get injured as a result of a HBPDOWN2WHISKEY wrote:SHIT....FUCK....SHIT!

Stanton out until August with broken hand
That is going to hurt attendance just a bit. Can MLB remove this team from the league already?
The HUGE contract the Marlins gave him is already causing the team harm.

The Royals remind me a lot of what's going on in the south right now.
They lost the war.

KC lost the World Series. Get over it.
Re: Killeverything's (New)NeverEndingBaseballThread
Today the Astros starter did his best KC Royals impression. Throwing at ARod after giving up 6 runs by the 2nd inning, a two run jack and a granny.
WTF!
Pussy. Upon being thrown out pitcher did not even argue. He pouted into the dugout and
then pulled a tough guy move by throwing his glove into a wall as hard as possible.
Dummy used his pitching arm.
Anyway, bitch move throwing at anybody just because you gave up a 6 spot early and cannot
get anybody out.

ARod served his time. How did Ryan Dempster fair when he decided to throw at ARod multiple times during an at bat? Not so well because Dempster was vilified in the media and later in the game ARod took him deep for a HOME RUN!
The kid from Houston received a sweet bus pass by his manager. Have fun in AAA asshole.

Re: Killeverything's (New)NeverEndingBaseballThread
Aroid cheated his way into baseball and tainted the history. If I was a player who did it clean on hard work and love for the game I'd throw at him as well. I don't care who throws at him as long as they're not at the head. He's an embarrassment, a lying, cheating dirty player who brings shame to the game and there's a number of unwritten rules in sports with players.
How many players didn't make the big leagues because they didn't cheat like Aroid........Fuck um.
