To The Wonder(2012) Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams
Any movie with these two should be an automatic 8/10 for me but that was the most pretentious piece of shit i have even seen 0/10
The Unauthorized Beverly Hills 90210 Story (2015)
With my reading of the Jason Preistley biography and being a pretty big fan of the show i knew most of the stories but this was a fun trip down memory lane The Jennie Garth they casted was just perfect 8/10

I recall "attempting" to see this DVD last year or the year before that.theglammerthebetter wrote:To The Wonder(2012) Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams

SPOTLIGHT - 2015
We noticed at the last minute this was playing at the local film festival a few weeks back. "It is about The Boston Globe's "Spotlight" team, the oldest continuously operating newspaper investigative unit in the United States, and their coverage of the Massachusetts Catholic sex abuse scandal, for which The Globe won the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. The film stars Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Brian d'Arcy James, Michael Keaton, Stanley Tucci, Liev Schreiber, and Billy Crudup."
This will be up come award season, probably for movie, because everyone in the cast puts on an amazing performance, while no one outshines anyone else. 9/10. Fantastic.

Les valseuses / Going Places (1974) - 7/10.
Gérard Depardieu and some other dude spend two hours being super awful to absolutely everyone for no apparent reason, assaulting, robbing, banging everything in sight, while still somehow coming off as adorable. It's basically exploitation. But also a comedy. And Miou-Miou is naked all the time. Good shit.
Laggies (2014) - 4/10.
Keira Knightley becomes best friends with Chloë Grace Moretz, which is a super realistic age connection, then bangs the latter's dad. I'm not even sure who's the hot one these days. Fucking slut kids. So confusing.
Prometheus (2012) - 7/10.
Surprisingly good, except for the annoying cliffhanger. I don't get all the bitching about every Alien sequel.

Manon des sources / Manon of the Spring (1986) - 6/10.
Rated for Emmanuelle Béart boobs exclusively. I understand it's a sequel to something that's probably needed to give a fuck about any of the shit happening here. Yves Montand is not hot in it.
La dentellière / The Lacemaker (1977) - 6/10.
Young Isabelle Huppert is a common girl falling in love with a snob, everybody's miserable, depression ensues, unhappy ending all around.
About Time (2013) - 4/10.
From the fags that brought you Love, Actually and other such tripe, here's a by the numbers romantic comedy, but with time travel. *barfs* Rachel McAdams is hot in it. Margot Robbie is somehow even hotter in it. Everybody else is fucking ginger in it. Not really worth it.

Urban Legend, 5/10, revisited it. As part of the post Scream hip horror it was merely ok, but got more scary as I realized Rebecca Gayheart wasn't acting.

The concept could be cool I guess, but there are too many unanswered questions, too many guns with endless bullets and not enough science.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
I just have to say I finally saw a warm and touching movie about Charlie Manson.
It's called : Manson Family Vacation
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3275216/
It's about a deadbeat stepchild, who is obsessed with Charlie Manson, who finds out he is Charlie's son. He then goes on a Manson tour, and meets up with the family who still lives out in the desert, and he gets re-united with his father.
The movie ends with archive footage of an interview with the real Manson, where he gives a touching message to his son over sad music.
I was almost in tears.
Highly recommendable.

Mr. Klein (1976) - 8/10
Awesome movie with Alain Delon as an art vendor in Nazi-occupied France dealing with a case of mistaken identity. Devastating depiction of the heritage paranoia and ostracism of the jews in the most Kafka-esque movie I've ever come across.
Sauve qui peut (la vie) / Every Man for Himself (1980) - 8/10
Godard movie with Isabelle Huppert as a hooker, among other stuff that doesn't really make up a real plot to speak of. It's almost like 70s Buñuel. Really liked it, though I can't tell why.
Mon pire cauchemar / My Worst Nightmare (2011) - 5/10
Pretty predictable French comedy with Isabelle Huppert who strangely looks hotter the older she gets.

"Iron Man" (2008) 4 Stars of 5. Really Liked It. The story was good, the tech was cool, the blu ray bonus features were really cool. It was cool to see how Jon Favreau made the blue print for the highly successful Marvel super hero movie company.
"When Marnie Was There" (2015) 4 Stars of 5. Really Liked It. What was supposed to be the final Studio Ghibli movie, but probably won't be, because Hayao Miyazaki can't live without making movies. It didn't get 5 stars because it was marketed as a movie about a lesbian relationship between two young outcast girls, but the true story was absolutely nothing like that. I made it 45 seconds into the movie before the waterworks started. if you have a depressed kid who you struggle to help, you might relate.

"The Secret Village" - would give this one a 6/10 rating.....acting was decent, plot had potential, but whomever edited the scenes did NOT put them together correctly.
