You're so dense hat you can't tell when somebody is using sarcasm. Toronto is my bet for today. I was sarcastic saying I liked the Red Sox. It's sad I had to explain that to you.

Wow that was the seveth inning from hell

That dumbass throw by Martin, the 18 minute video replay /arguing

3 consecutives errors by the Rangers who should be out of the inning but instead have 0 outs and the bases are loaded

The debatable slide at home to prevent the double play.....

Fuck now a 3 run HR by Bautista

and now they cleared the bench for the second time in the inning

I'm not gonna call him a fucking idiot, Texas surprised everyone. Well, maybe not everyone, but they surprised the hell out of me.

I just think that Toronto is the team to beat in the AL.

I knew there would be a flood of Cubs fans coming out of the woodwork. They was all cheering being in the WC in July then they all scatter and went quiet from August, past the wild card, past the division...Then once they win the Division it's all Hug's n Kisses..

Baseball fans are superstitious, crazy, fickle, weird and screwy.

There's this team called the KC Royals you might have heard of. They have a diehard fanbase that have been dying for their team since September of last year.

What you actually did was pick the opposite of me. If I would have chosen
Toronto you would have quickly picked Texas and ranted about how my
choice was a poor one, blah blah blah

You are predictable. I can see you moves from miles away. Nothing original about your posts. Now do me a favor, log in under one of the few ALTER-NYMS you have, come to your own rescue and keep up this charade you
have been doing for a very, very long time.

Toronto had home field and momentum after game 4. They also were the better team. In all seriousness, I would have picked Toronto.

Just to make it fair, I'm picking the Dodgers to close out the series over the Mets.

TBH, I'm unsure if anybody can have faith in Mattingly. Next to Matt Williams, he is most likely to prevent his team from winning a game. He must have studied under Billy Martin when he was drunk.

Greinke on the mound. Can he handle the pressure? I understand Kershaw had to pitch on 3 days rest, but now Greinke has to carry all the weight. Does he have the mental toughness to lead his team to Game 5 win.

I dislike the Mets with a passion and all those Long Islanders who cheer for them. I loathe Dodgers for many reasons. Starting with Puig, Utley and their fans.

KC just won.

I hope Toronto knocks them out. I hate KC. I hate LAD too ( Killeverything. Full of hate ). That said I think the Cubs and Blue Jays are the better teams.

I don't think a potential Dodger loss will be on the potential NL Cy Young winner. I wouldn't bet on LA, because for 300 million dollars they are a pretty flawed team. I think if the Dodgers lose it won't be because of Greinke.

I'm actually stoked now with KC going to the ALCS. It will that much more heartbreaking when they lose.

Just based on the managers I would say the Cubs have to be the heavy favorites. Plus, they're rolling. Is this finally the year?

Bautista needs to learn some manners. His behavior after hitting that home run was ridiculous. If anybody deserves to get hit by a pitch in the ribs over and over, it is Bautista. I don't care how intense the emotions were at the time, "act as if you have been there before".
Bautista has no respect for the game. If the roles were reversed, you know damn well that he and his team would have not taken lightly to an opposing player "posing" and "tossing" a bat high in the air after striking the ball.

The Blue Jays whined when ARod shouted in the infield and their defender failed to catch a pop up. How is Bautista's behavior any different?

Respect the game a lot more. Treat others like you want to be treated. If you disrespect the game, expect baseballs to be thrown directly at you until the lesson has been learned.

Facing The Met's isn't enough, LAD will have to over come Mattingly. I can't wait to see this line up and his pitching moves.

Greinke won game two and was typical Greinke. Both Greinke and Kershaw have been fine, it's the bat's no one looks at. Being in LA helps....LAD's road record sucked hard but they had one of the best home records. Regardless of game one.

- Good Met's Team
- Mattingly
- lack of Runs
+ LAD at home
+ Greinke

Advantage Met's.

I think The Met's beat the Dodgers because Mattingly's constantly rotating line up wont produce combined with the 6th through 8th inning relief.

The problem hasn't been so much Kershaw or Greinke, no one mentions their run support or lack of it....The line up is so important with this Team and Don can't get a handle on it. The Met's can score, LAD, not so much. LAD has something around 43% of their runs have come off HR's. That's not really a good stat. Pitching is better in the Playoff's, players cool off and they have to score other ways. They get runners on base and a problem getting them in. It's why don needed to get the run game going.

-----------------

May 8th - It say's basically the same thing
"The amount of runs the Dodgers are scoring with the home run is something to keep an eye on. If they’re going to be really dependent on home runs for scoring, that could come back to haunt them come playoff time."
http://dodgersdigest.com/2015/05/08/dod ... he-season/

--------------

If the Dodgers get on the board early and manage 2R's they have a shot. Greinke wont last 6 or 7 innings but if he makes it through 7 LAD has a shot but LAD will have to score. Something they haven't done a lot of.
The Met's can beat you with pitching and bats, LAD has to rely on one Pitcher. Advantage Met's.

The Met's are the better team and a better match up vs The Cubs.
My dream would be to beat the Met's and take out the CUBS. LAD could lose the WS and I could live with that. With the injuries and pitching issues all season long I'm happy they won the division and surprised as fuck it's a game 5 with the MET's. I miss Ryu!

If LAD beat the Met's I'm going to love seeing it up there next to the history of the 88 Dodgers vs Met's NLCS. The Met's will hate LAD with a passion. It will regenerate and give rebirth to a new generation, a rivalry that should be remembered not over shadowed for beating the A's.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Did I mention how much I still fucking hate the 2WC one game playoff and this best of 5 NLDS?

With 4 games on Friday and Monday and every game over lapping I have missed a lot of great ball and haven't enjoyed the postseason at all. Really, so far the postseason has been a fucking blur to me. I've missed most of the ALDS.

I've read the Met's play by play man and some reporters saying they don't think the team will resign Daniel Murphy and after breaking the bank on David Wright, Cespdes might be gone as well.
Cespdes is going to be 30 and do they want to break the bank again for a 6 or 7 year contract.

EXACTLY.

In once case emotion got the best of a player after hitting a homer in the biggest game of his life, half an inning after the team felt MLB hosed them. Might not be right; but it's excusable.

In the other case, the supposed elite player of his generation at the time, basically shouted NANABOOBOO when circling the bases to distract a rookie infielder.

As a neutral baseball fan I know which one is more embarassing to me.

agreed, A-rods sissy slap at first in the '04 ALCS was even worse, no emotions at all just a sad attempt to be safe by the ultimate bush leaguer, that dude's just an embarrassment all around, screams, slaps, spray tan, lies, more lies etc. Bautista flips his bat, "ooooohhhh respect the game man!!!!"
