What happened to the Jay's.....I was wondering what happened to the CUBS!

Notice no one posted....Just like I said if they start Lester vs Harvey and Arry vs DeGromy they should take the first two ga...........Well, wait. They'll be good to win games 3 and 4! They'll bounce back and take them easily.

I'm not sure about ChiC, but Strohman is the perfect guy to start game 3. If the Cubs go down easily I think it will only piss them off for next season. There's something scary brewing in Wrigleyville.

.
Kill-You must have had too many Chicago dogs over the weekend because you are very biased.
What is so scary about Wrigleyville? This team is cursed for the rest of our natural lives and that was before Bartman tried to catch that foul ball.

Arrieta had a great reg. season but he's toast. Lester led his team
to another loss.
The Cubs are going to pitch around Daniel Murphy? HUH
Some guy named Daniel Murphy should not be the most feared hitter on the Mets.

They're a good, young team with the GM that made your Yankees and the "curse" the joke of baseball. What Epstein built won three rings. It took Cashman almost a trillion dollars to win ONE since 2000.

His team is in the Championship Series, Cashman's is playing golf.

Washington to interview Ron Gardenhire for mgr. I was always fond of Gardenhire, that dude had the Twins in it damn near every year of his reign there. I know the Nats are predicted to win the WS every year, adding Gardenhire will continue that trend.

Tigers pitcher Norris announces he has cancer.

What do you have to say now about all the CY young runners and Ace pitchers getting spanked in the playoffs?
Arrieta - one gem and two lesters
Lester - thumped twice
Clayton....Got a win and a loss but not hammered.
Greinke pitched well, still got a loss
Price......exploded
Cueto......Almost makes Price look good....one fair game 2 melt downs
LAD blasted Harvy and Degromy but they put down the cub cakes

Didn't see much of the AL other then Price get spanked each time

Keuchel was dominate except for his short rest relief.

Maraschino Tonkak toy was rocked in 5 innings.....
Hamels took a loss and and a win

*Edit

I for got, it makes them all losers. Even if they're the reason the team is in the playoffs in the first place. They're all losers!

Cys, MVPs, and Gold Gloves are all decided before the playoffs. In fact I think every award or accolade is.

I think Price should get the AL Cy, just for his contributions to Toronto and them winning the Division. It's hard to pick anyone over Greinke....except maybe Kershaw  for the NL.

Donaldson owns the AL MVP and I would give it to Cespedes for the NL. He is the main reason the Mets were so dominant IMO.

If they don't win though, you are right. They are all losers. Maybe they need to do their time.

What did all of you think about Tulo getting ejected last night?

#1-Good strike 3 call by the HP umpire. The pitch touched the corner.
I know Russell Martin thought a called 3rd strike against him was a ball, but I think this time the HP umpire got that right as well.

Jays are nothing but a group of whining baseball players who think that a good 6 months entitles them to a certain level of respect. Especially when playing at home.

Tulo is a moron who needs to think more about what it means to his
team when he is ejected from the game. He ran his mouth and got what
he deserved.

I didn't get to see it. I think it bullshit that the ump ejects a player in the CS. Was it Joe West?

Also maybe Tulo getting ejected could fire up a team like a lot of managers like to do ( Pinnela ). And what are you babbling about?

A good 6 months? It's been a while since the MFY were the team to beat in the AL East. It's kind of funny, last time they were they bought Teixiera and Sabbathia. The baseball Gods keep raising the price on buying relevance.

It really chaps your hide that "your" team is an overpriced joke doesn't it?

 The Jays are in the postseason and NY isn't.....again.

I wonder what 30+ year old they sign next year.

Doesn't bug me as much as you think. Last time I checked the Yankees won a WS in 2009. When was the last time the Jays or O's won a WS?

There was a time when the NYY were overpriced and a joke. Not anymore. That title now resides in LA. Even you know that.
Speaking of overpriced, how is Pablo Sandoval working out for you so far?

It was not Joe West who tossed Tulo. I think it was John Hirschbeck. Anyway, Tulo could not shut up and the HP umpire had no other choice.
Swing the bat Tulo. The pitch was a strike.

How is Fat Panda working out for me? I couldn't root for Boston anymore when they became the Yankees Jr., didn't live thee anymore, and I didn't end up moving back there with my ( now ) ex. I haven't been a fan since 2007-2008ish.6

I've explained this. My AL team I replaced them with is Seattle since I live in the PNW, saw most of their players come up through the minors, and stomp around Seattle quite a bit ( love that town, hate the Hawks ). My NL team is who it always has been, my hometown/birthplace SF.

I was ecstatic Sandoval was insulted by SF's weight clause. Aside from his postseason in 2012 and 2014 they've always had an issue with him. I knew the media and fanbase is going to rip him apart in the Fens. You thought Renteria had it bad there ( 2010 WS MVP with guess who ). 5/95. That deal is so stupid you would thimk Cashman was behind it.

Wait. Ellsbury, Beltran, McCann....the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Speaking of which, Tommy John boy Tanaka has bone spurs removed.

Oh yeah, I forgot you have zero loyalty to your team. You picked up the WS trophies in Boston and jumped ship.

You should be embarrassed.

Let me know when you move to KC and begin to root for the Royals

As far as NL Cy and MVP that's easy. Kershaw and Grienke in that order!

I was thinking mainly what it makes them looks like "losers" all of them.

But really I'm curious how it's going to effect the free agents like Price and Cueto. Is their poor post season going to make them look like shit at the bargaining table. If anything it should give LAD more incentive to break the bank on Greinke.

I've been saying it's just a game of match ups, the CUBS have them right where they want them.

You know you're just saying your going to sell them as a jix, or are you actually selling them as a jinx? You know the CUBS are not going to get swept, they got this next game. Have some faith! If they lose it's because of the lack of faith from their fans.

The CUBS will win the next game. I'd bet money on it.

CUBS STILL SUCK!

Swept by the fucking METS!

This ones for you KILL, I said as a Dodger fan I'd rather face the CUBS then the METS. CUBS SUCK. Just when I started to think they're scary they come through in normal fashion. The media and everyone made a sickening big deal over them from the ALL STAR break on just so they could sink like a Titanic.
At least I can watch sports channels again and not see 20 minutes about the Cinderella team and 10 minutes on the rest of the league.

That glass slipper got stomped.

It has to be painful to be a fan of the CUBS, just like clock work, getting SWEPT out of the Pennant Race, SWEPT! IN THE NLCS! SWEPT from going to the WORLD SERIES.

CUBS fans truly are the toughest fans in baseball. At least they got to beat their rivals the Cards......Not that it helps bring happiness after getting spanked by the METS.

Ya, that was his stats going into the last nights GTFO you've just been swept game and MLB.com didn't update their stats fast enough after. I see Kris had 2SO 1H, a HR in the 8th inning and got 2RBI's to make it a CLOSE 8 to 3 spanking.
He may as well bunted at that point.

Hat's off to ya John, you're a good fan.

I want to say good games and all that shit but I can't after the season they had, cheating the Pirates out of a one game playoff then beating the Cardinals just too get swept by the fucking METS. Fucking swept, by the Mets.
They should have been able too beat the Met's if not at the very least give them a series....Not shut the fuck out.
It sucks for their fans. A lot of them can fuck off but good number of them deserved this season, this World Series. I believe they have some of the better fans in the game even with the douche bags that go with every team. They have a good core of fans and as usual like a Timex, the team let them down again, x 100+.

It's not like the Royals, Yankees, Red Sox's or those stuck up Giant fans!

It was a great season that went above and beyond expectations going back to the opener. But come September after the $155 million additions of Lester and such they was built to go all the way not go all the way too get shut out in the NLCS by the Mets.

It's why I laugh, make fun but at the same time think it sucks. I know some douche bag CUB supporters who talk shit in a full gear with hat's and jersey's who don't know a thing about the game while making bets they never pay back, it's also why the CUB's own me $20 because of fans like that. But I know a few good decent ones who've stuck with the Cubs from the beginning and deserve more as a fan. Unlike any Yankee fan.

With limited baseball on television growing up I watched more CUBS games because of WGN on cable in the 80/90's. I became a fan of the Hawk Andre Dawson and Dunston...the Maddux, Sutcliffe, Grace and Sandberg teams...

Then I watched them flop in the post season, the last was being SWEPT in 2007 by the Dbacks then SWEPT again in 2008 by the Dodgers. I still remember everyone talking shit only to watch the CUBS get shutout both seasons.

You could say it's a love hate, they have a strong foundation now, they've had them before and have one again. It's something to look forward too rather that nothing to hope for. I'm not going to say World Series but at least they can expect race next year and not look forward to another shit season.

It don't matter, I've watched my team win a lot of Divisions, NL Pennant's and World Series. I've seen them been favored and watched them been underdogs and win vs the A's and Yankees..........

Was anyone even alive the last time the CUBS won the World Series?

Game over.

Watching playoff baseball.
What a great couple days of baseball, the CUBS get swept and the Dodgers get rid of their post season curse, thorn, fuck up.

I so didn't want the CUBS to win this year, I wanted them to win next season hoping there wouldn't be 4 months of Cinderella hype and they'd earn it getting dirty.

So you're hearing it now CUB fans, I'm saying it. OCT, 22, 2015, the CUBS will win the World Series in 2016.

What and the fuck? Apparently the Marlins have serious interest in Mattingly. It said that LA offered him an extension which he declined. I personally don't believe it. I think Friedman offered it knowing he wouldn't accept.

Donnie Baseball is a horrible manager. I find it funny Florida likes him. This is the same franchise that basically laughed at ( possibly worst mgr. of all time ) Dusty Baker's face when he expressed interest. Now they want Mattingly? Maybe it's because my generation are all grown up now so it's sentimental.

I've always hated the Yankees, but was a Mattingly fan when I was kid. I think we all were. Next to ( my childhood hero ) Will Clark, he was my favorite 1B. I get that, but let the guy golf, watch playoff baseball and be retired. He just isn't cut out for this whole manager thing.

If LAD gets someone good at the helm they'll be scary though.

Fuck LA.

All part of the plan.....Andrew Friedman said LAD isn't going all in this season.
$87.5 million was for players no longer on the team! A huge chunk of the 300M was being paid to the, Marlins, Braves, Padres and Redsox to corrupt their inner structure and help them finish at the bottom of their division. Did it work?

How did Panda and Hanley do Fenway? We know how the Padres turned out!
Matt Kemp and Hanley Ramirez served LAD well! Including the carry over of big money no show contracts like Josh Beckett and others who'll be off the books shortly. This season was about a boosted payroll used to sabotage other teams.

LAD in the trades had sleeper agent "Dan Haren" sent from the Fish to damage the CUBS. Haren devastatingly announced his retirement this morning after being brutally swept last night.

LAD ate a $28 Million Dollar signing bonus and $1,267,760 season salary for Hector Olivera to damage the Atlanta Braves....How did they do?

----------------------

Dr Evil would be proud.....300 Millionnnnnnn Dollarssssssssssssss. The limping Dodgers after a good fight may have fell in the NLDS but the plan was a complete success! Mr. Bigglesworth it's off to our Cryogenic Frozen In-N-Out space rocket, when we get back Mattingly will be gone and most of the high priced assholes will be hurting other teams leaving the Dodgers take over the WORLD.....series.

-----------------

The Dodgers also ate $26 million to pull off strategic trades including pitchers most who didn't even see the field like 3.5million Bronson Arroyo, he was so bad the Dbacks traded him and players to the Braves for Phil Gosselin who had more weeks on the DL then RBI's, 15.

The Dodgers brain washed Dan Haren so bad this was his statement.
Dan Haren thanked baseball on his way out, making his retirement official shortly after the Chicago Cubs were swept out of the NLCS by the New York Mets on Wednesday night.
Dan Haren: Now that the CUBS are out, I have time for more trivial pursuits like catching up on this whole "Star Wars" thing.
dan haren
@ithrow88
I've never seen one Star Wars movie and I'm 35, where do I begin? My mom made me watch I Love Lucy when I was a kid and I loved it. I've never seen one Star Wars movie and I'm 35, where do I begin?

------------------------------------------

At least LAD, a team in shambles, won the division and gave the Met's all they could handle. An error or that stupid manager call away from beating them in a 5 game series. The Dodgers did rather well thank you very much. I'm sure the New York Giants were comfy giving yet another Division title too LAD with most of the MLB watching them in the Post Season!

Now the Dodgers, Giants, Cubs and Red Sox get to watch the playoffs from home together. At least they didn't go out in the WC round like the Yankees.

All part of the Dodger plan........Sabotage! I'd hate to see Mattingly go to the Fish, I like the fish then again fuck um, Jeffrey Loria and Don Mattingly deserve each other.

I was a fan of Don in his playing days as well, he looked just like my friends brother who did me a lot of favors growing up, I'd call him Don...Inside joke...Donnie hook up.
And except that the Giants suck I dug Will Clark, I always thought he'd be great in a fight, him and Matt Williams were a couple of bulldogs.
Unfortunately Matt like Don need to be batting coaches or on 1st base.

I have baseball cards of Will Clark and at least one of Don. As much as I liked Don, Mattingly hurt LAD's chances and it pisses me off. I'll like him from his playing days but he couldn't Manage a Taco Stand. He should be managing the Braves, Reds or Philly. The Royals would be nice.

Odd thing about Mattingly, from time to time I thought he would make some good moves in the regular season but come the post season I have a scar on my head from scratching it. He totally blew this post season. And sometimes it would be just little stupid moves that would blow up. Like he was tossing darts in the dugout.
