Nothing but respect for Al Arbour, one of the greatest head coaches of all time, having lead the Isles to 4 Stanley Cups. Pretty hard nosed player too.

Coached a team from the bottom of the league to the top, beat an 80's Oilers team for a Cup, and molded a dynasty. RIP Al

Man, McDavid was a bit tentative in his first few games, but since the Calgary game, he looks damn good. Going to be a superstar. So quick. Makes things happen everytime he has the puck. Man, I hate the Oilers.

Eichel isn't going to be bad either!

I still keep up with NHL on occasion despite the fact that my state's team, the Thrashers, are no more ( :( ), though I really don't have a preferred team. Maybe Stamkos and the Bolts or the Kings? The Blackhawks are usually Stanley Cup contenders, too, of course. Really, I just wish the Thrashers hadn't left Atlanta. Not much of a market for on-ice sports in GA...

Winter Classic in Foxboro sold out in no time at $100 - $450. Hopefully the B's don't lose by more than 3 goals. At least keep it close for a period.

As much as McDavid is doing well, it's the goaltending so far that has stood out to me, it's MILES better than it has been the last few years..

Sorry, but they're the team that replaced Atlanta when the Thrashers left town, so I kind of have a personal grudge against them! I'm too busy swooning over another pair of on-ice athletes in Ashley Wagner and Gracie Gold right now, anyway!

And one of the main reasons I mentioned the Bolts/Lightning is because I know a fellow WWE fan who's from the Tampa Bay area and roots for them...

you can't blame the players for leaving. it wasn't their call. blame the city for not supporting the team.

Don't know what to make of the Bruins.

Undefeated on the road, winless at home.
Best GF in the league, one of the worst GA.
One of the best PP, one of the worst PK.

Please, at least find an identity.

Devils win 4 in a row (not pretty at all though). #1 draft pick sounds great, but sucks when your team loses.

Habs 9-0 now. Have not given up a first period goal all year. 4 lines rolling; 3 defence pairings as well; and Price is sublime.

B's Winter Classic jerseys are sweet. They will beat the Habs at that. There's only so much you can do with a CH.

Absolutely love that all the 'experts' have ANA winning the cup, and they have had their worst start in franchise history. 4 shutouts in 7 games, and have only scored 6 goals.

Boudreau better have his bags packed.....they should have fired him two years ago when LA embarrassed them in game 7.

Lottery odds will be better to draft top three this season. Even if you finish 14th from last. Of course, just watch the Oilers win first overall again after they just miss out on the playoffs!

In all honesty, I bet there isn't 1 Oilers fan that wants to be in anywhere near a position to draft this guy this year.

I'd be psyched if they make the playoffs.

Montreal/Washington vs Nashville/Dallas final as of three weeks into the season. Winnipeg looks ready to do some damage.

Hall has stepped up ( 4th in league scoring ), RNH has 11 points in 13 games, Yak who was playing really well with McDavid I think will fall , I don't see him keeping that pace without him, Draisaitl has 7 points in 3 games and Eberle, who has lead the team in points 3 of the last 5 years is back from injury, on paper this team SHOULD be fine without McD but who the fuck knows, I say trade the 2016 #1 pick + for some legit D and go from there.

 I'd still trade Matthews for a top pairing D, we don't need offensive guys, we need defensive guys..

Habs revealed their Winter Classic jerseys today:

Image

The only thing I don't like is the white "C", but like I've said the Habs can only deviate from their classic look so much. Apparently the jersey encompasses various details of jerseys they wore from the 20's through the 40's.

I do like the globe on the sleeves.

Not bad. I give it a 7.5/10.

Maybe the worst Winter jerseys I've ever seen.

I liked Ottawa's one from a couple of years ago.
