Unsure how much this story has merit, but the Yankees are said to be
making a trade with Marlins for Fernandez

Stay tuned!

As were the Giants and Dodgers. The only team with a deep enough farm to trade for a pitcher of his caliber is LAD, CHC, and BOS.

I wouldn't believe it.

TBH, I pay attention about 1% of the time during the off-season. All the rumors don't mean anything. No reason for a fan of team X to get excited because someone says that other people are discussing acquiring a player.

Rumors abound now that Jansen is crushed by the Chapman talk. Feelings seem to get hurt a lot in the Dodger clubhouse. It's almost like a pre-school. I wonder if they have naptime after cookies and juice and Puig was in timeout a lot for always acting out.

Cubs sign Ben Zobrist. He chose for family/location, not $.

MFY trade for Starlin Castro.

D'Backs trade for Andrew Miller.

Yankees are making waves. Cashman is doing his job and doing it well

First off, Cubs get a good arm in Warren. He can start or pitch in relief.
Cubs also get Brendan Ryan, who is nothing more than a utility IF.

Castro at 2B in The Bronx can work. Didi as SS. Castro can also play SS when needed.

The Ryan pickup is not unlike Alex Gonzalez I think. Ryan is the best defensive SS in baseball, they probably got him for the playoffs. Omar Cabrera was the same for Theo too, except Ocab was a decent hitter. Ryan is a fucking treat to watch field.

How soon will the Dodgers close the door on Chapman? Have to think that team does not need this type of distraction. They already have 1 cuban born player who has caused too many problems in the clubhouse. Adding another just might destroy that 25 man roster.

And you wouldn't be?
Duh, I said that in the first reply after you posted the RUMOR. And you blame him? What top closer in the game, in the last year of their contract is going to be happy when asked to be a set up man or asked to share the duty?
Both Chapman and Jansen are in their last year of their contract and those saves and stats could be digits off their new contract. I can't see either being happy. That was the first thing brought up by writers.

It sounds good on paper but who's going to be happy sharing the mound. I bet neither.

If Chapman is down with being a set up man it will be great as long as he don't have a gun and isn't around women.

Kill, is it me or does Arizona remind you of the Padre's last year? They've given up what prospects they've had, opened the bank and landed a lot of players I'm just hoping they end up like the Padres.

At times they've looked like they were a starter away, but really they were a sub-.500 club. I think they'll remain that way.

Heyward narrows it down to Cubs and Cards.

Rockies sign Mark Reynolds.

An unnamed source guarantees LA trying to get rid of Puig with an ex-Dodger calling him the worst person in mlb. Manny's retired so.

LAD officially closes on the possible Chapman trade.

As soon as I heard the news on MLB Network, my first thought was to log on here and see his reaction to Heyward joining the Cubs (or Cub's as he would spell it).

In their defense ( like Jon Lester last year; or Zobrist this season ) he took less to go there.

Seattle signs Steve Cishek to a 2 year deal.

you need a better comeback there chief. enough of the b.s.
the current red sox fans never tasted chowder until 10 years ago. suddenly
those fools were wearing sox hats at every corner, in every city. bandwagon jumpers.
suddenly the cubs are now the Yankees. fuck that!
signing these very good players will only make the pain of losing
hurt that much more.

No I don't need a better comeback than that you fucking retard. It's the reason why your a fan, or a fan of the Cowboys. Your a typical Yankee fan too. No history in NY. You've probably never been. I remember Tawny calling you out on it. I bet your a fan of Lebron James too.

As for signing all those players and intensifying the pain of losing. You mean like 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006....

Everytime you hit submit.

You fuck off. I have said it before and I will say it again, I have visited NYC about 10 times. Most recently in 2013. Each time I spent money on baseball tickets to see them play at Yankee Stadium. So don't fucking tell me I am a typical fan. I don't jump to another team unlike all of you here. That includes you Kill. Fucking homer!

True, those were some lean years in the mid 2000's. Good thing is I continued to cheer for them and what do you know the team won a WS title again in 2009. Funny how that works huh?
Make sure you tuck your Giants hat on really tight tonight and pretend you never owned a Red Sox hat in your life.

How the fuck would I pretend to never own a Sox hat bandwagon boy? I used to live there. I still have my Sox gear. Just like I've always owned Giants gear. I'm from there.

Kill
You are on the Giants bandwagon. I live in the area like you, but you don't see me abandoning the Yankees for the Giants, even when they have won 3 WS lately.
You on the other hand had no problem stating that you cheer for the Giants, even though you waved that Sox flag like nobody else ever has here on Sludge.

I have hung through the lean Yankees and Cowboys years. So there is no room to call me a bandwagon fan. Get your shit in order Kill.
Who are you rooting for now. Carolina Panthers? Golden State Warriors?
Chicago Cubs? Florida Marlins?
