That said, how do you feel about AZ? They're going to come out of the gate strong. I don't know if they can keep it up all year, but they'll put up a sizable lead to start.

If you hate them, just remember what they did to the Yankees in 2001. It's kinda hard to after that.

Part of me thinks they'll come out of the gate strong but with the Giants on their heels then San Fran passing them up around the break. I don't think AZ will be a threat come September if not August.

Most of me thinks AZ will battle the first month or so with the Giants pulling away and having a fair lead by the break leaving AZ and maybe LA fighting it out for 2nd. I like Goldsmig and the team but don't think Zack's going to magically push AZ over the top anything like 01 or like people thought SD was going to last year. They'll be better but I see San Fran owning the division after the first couple months with AZ in 2nd missing the playoffs.

Only the injury bug will hold the Giants back. If AZ wins the division I'll be surprised.

My interest or hope is if the Dodgers bat's can do enough to keep them close enough to add pitching when the trades begin but I don't think the young players will preform above expectations. If there's a time for Pugy to mature or make a comeback this is the season or LAD could end up battling it out with the Rockies in the RockPile. No pitching, young unproven players and all the vets injured or coming off injuries is what LAD is going into the season with.

On a different note, I'm known as the guy who knocked out 3 front teeth from a kid standing at the dugout exit. he was their bat boy in the wrong place not behind the fence....
Playing deep 2nd I threw my arm out and the ball sailed way off course blasting a t-ball kid in the mouth. For years I was constantly teased for it.
It was like slow motion, I felt major pain, the ball sailed wide right and the kid screamed just as it tagged the poor child square in the mouth. Game was delayed, I'm hurting and feeling like shit as everyone is looking at me while a kid is crying and bleeding all over the place. Bone spurs suck.

I can't recall ever throwing my arm out. I've had my shoulder be sore a couple of times, where my ABs sucked, but I don't think I ever threw my arm out.

Sometimes you just throw wide. It was pretty rare ( I'm not Captain Clutch ), but it has happened. The worst was when we were playing Aldine ( I think ) there's a guy on 2nd and 3rd and I field a grounder backhand. I'm thinking I'm Ozzie fucking Smith until I launch it over the 1B's head.

That was rad. We lost 2-0. Guess how those runs scored.

Andrew Miller takes line-drive off the wrist. Has a fracture. Just plans on playing through it. He's a LHP, it's a right wrist injury. He's says he got the idea to just play through it from....Jacoby Ellsbury.

Now I'm hearing he's out for 3 months?!?! Chapman out for 30 games, Miller?, and the Betances ( career setup man, 10 saves ) as the potential closer? That 3 headed bullpen monster will be dormant until the ASB.

You have the injured players mixed up. B. Mitchell will be out for 3 months with a broken toe. Did that while covering 1st base earlier this week.
A. Miller has the right wrist fracture and for now says he will not miss any time. Not his pitching hand so perhaps he can play through the pain???

Team predictions for 2016 season: out of the 31 ESPN polled only one picked NY to win the division and only 7 out of the 62 picks chose NY for a wildcard spot.

LAD even got 4 picks to win the division and 5 for a WC. Most went with the Giants with a lot picking AZ as well for the division.

The more I think about it the more I don't see the Dbacks being all that tough. At best the Giants wont be as strong as I'm expecting and the West will be a weak division that might give AZ a chance.

If I was betting, I'd bet AZ don't make the playoffs, at least 5-7 back from the WC or the Division.

They're far more use to being swept then being in the WS......I think getting swept is almost expected come the post season.
