Its kind of funny that most of the contenders in the NL have bullpen issues one way or another. Should be interesting who gets who at the deadline.

Rangers vs Yankees played a game last night that did not end until 2:30 am. Why? Well there was a 3 hour, 45 minute rain delay
in the top of the 9th inning.
How the fuck are both teams going to recover in such a short amount of time and be expected to play well when they probably
got back to their rooms/hotel/homes around 4 am or later?

Bullpen is getting worse, don't think Joel Peralta is going to be enough. Hope they trade for Miller or Chapman, hell Doolittle would be nice too!

I can't recall anyone thinking Bryant was overrated here. I'm still not sure I agree with his Rookie Of The Year though.

The big rumor right now is that Theo and Hoyer are in serious discussions with Cashman about acquiring Chapman. CHC has the pieces in their farm, the MFY doesn't and with them on the hook for injury-prone 30 year olds, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see something get done.

That would be terrifying if you think about it. The only weakness Chicago has would be replaced with the elite? Holy shit.

Noah Syndergaard was on WFAN's Boomer and Carton show on Wednesday and conceded he didn't tell the truth about bone spurs in his elbow (via Matt Schneidman of the New York Post).

Sometimes it can be a little bit irritating, but the whole reason I basically denied it was because I didn’t want to make it sound like I was making an excuse for my poor performance the other night. There’s no structural damage; as long as I’m staying on my anti-inflammatories, my elbow is feeling great.”

"There's nothing structurally wrong with my elbow at all," said Syndergaard on Monday, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. "No bone chips or spurs, no strains or tears, nothing."

The Nats are wanting to acquire the ( DEVIL ) Rays Erasmo Ramirez. You might remember Erasmo Ramirez from former Seattle GM Jack Zduriencik's failed films such as 'Justin Smoak: A Power Hitter In The Making,' or Dustin Ackley: I Was Drafted Over Mike Trout.'



The Dodgers place Clayton Kershaw on DL ( back ). He's going to receive an epidural.

I sure as hell hope he doesn't do it. Schwarber's poor D not withstanding, his bat would be sorely missed. I don't see why the Yankees wouldn't consider a package involving Torres and Happ.

Hopefully Theo doesn't move Schwarber and goes after Doolittle instead. I'm sure the A's won't demand Schwarber (although I'm sure they'd like him as well).

Miller is a beast on the mound. He can give you one inning and sometimes not one single batter makes contact at the plate. Miller is that good.
Does the trade make sense? Would one team actually fleece another? Difficult to say.
This Cubs player is out for the year with the torn ACL. No telling he will be a very good or better player upon his return. Since he is already
a liability on D, that makes him a prime candidate for the DH role in The Bronx. At the end of the day I think the Yankees should pull
the trigger and steal this kid from the Cubs for not much in return.
