Did the Mets really think they were going to win the game? Of course not. They are the Mets and heartache is their destiny.
Not so amazing Mets after all.
There wasn't much NY could do. Thor pitched remarkable and a closer that was dominate until last night? I thought NY was fucked. They have/had so many injuries, if they won last night they would be swept by Chicago.

I'll also bet their heartache destiny would change if they spent over half a trillion dollars in a 10 year period. They might even have ONLY one ring to show for it and the biggest choke job in sports history too.

It's Moore/Shark against Hendricks with Bumgarner/Arrieta game 3. If SF takes one in Chicago then it's really not highly Cubs favorited. This looks like it could be a really good, no actual favorites series.

You are starting shit already and the post season just begun last night. Listen, 1 ring is better than zero rings. The Mets, well they are the Yankees
bitch or red headed step child. Either way, the Mets can't compete with the Yankees in the won/loss department. So 1 ring is better than zero rings.

Hammels gave up 7 runs in 3 innings. Barring a miracle Texas comeback, this shit is over. Maybe, I'm a curse for the Rangers.

Think about it. In 2010 I wanted SF to win, but with the post season Cliff Lee was having and the assault Hamilton was having on opposing pitchers?

2011 I thought TX would be like Boston in '04 or Kansas last year. If Nelson Cruz caught that popup they would have won, but he...and they didn't.

Last year, they'll beat Toronto. This year they'll win the pennant. The Curse Of Kill is strong apparently.

With great power comes great responsibility or something.

I don't give a shit about the rivalry, that was a great Giant win, Bum's the man. I was pulling for them to make the playoffs and wanted BUM to blank the Mets, but I did want the Mets to take out Chicago AGAIN! SWEEP!

Now we should just skip the rest and give the Crown to the CUBS. I don't know why we're even playing this out. I doubt I'll watch much more, LAD has a shot only because Washington is beat up but LA has gone cold and it's the playoffs. It's funny how most LAD playoff apparel say's "TAKE OCTOBER!" or "Always OCTOBER" when they always "LOSE OCTOBER"

I just bought a bunch of clearance hat's from 2013-2015....Fuck the shirts, Take October? LAD? Please.

--------------------Hate time----------

I fucking hate the WC and how it fucks with rotations and shit so I was rooting for the Jay's even tho I like the O's. Then after thumping Ham's today they're looking pretty good like they team they was supposed to be. Time to start pitching around Bautista and let Russ beat ya. Bautista is in monster mode. What I hated watching today was all the fucking REPLAY'S. I think there was one in every inning up to the 4th.

Maybe it's just me but I hate it in baseball, it can already be a slow game so delays and replays are twice as annoying. I hate it the NFL let alone Baseball.

-------

Fan's tossing shit on the field should be a crime.
I would watch that shit happen at Raider games, it's embarrassing how they treat visitors and toss shit on the field.
I think there's still a video of it on youtube I had great seats, on one play Fred Taylor got plastered with full beers in the back of the endzone as he scored a TD while at the same time the couple Jag Fans sitting in front of me got harassed and forced up to the 3rd level. Their saying is, if you're a visitor and stand to cheer you better take that shit up to the 3rd level.
Asshole fans.......

If the Rangers lose I blame KILL.
I think you've cursed Texas, for the sake of everyone maybe you should avoid watching the series. If they lose I blame you. Someone has to give the GUBS a loss or two.

They were an offensive powerhouse in 2013 too. Since they didn't ( until the very end of the season ) string together win streaks, and they don't have a rotation like SF, LAD, CHC I'm not thinking they'll go all the way. Porcello though? This post season is unreal.

I also thought St. Louis would win then, but they were playing for Boston after the bombing. Not unlike NYY in 2001....except they won :D

Bumgarner's entire post season resume is incredible. He's on 25 scorless innings so far. In 2010 he was the rookie #4.

It's still hard to see anyone beating Chicago, but the ball is in SF's court now. Especially after Wednesday. If the Cubs fall it will be their confidence that does them in. They didn't care whom they faced. SF or NYM and wouldn't watch the game. If SF wins one in Chicago ( 3-4 against this year ) the Cubbies go to AT&T and face Bumgarner.

I see Chicago winning the whole thing still, but if they fall apart that will be why.

I hate the 2nd Wild Card. A Wild Card is neccessary until there is an actual salary cap, or at least a minimum owners have to spend ( Minnesota, I'm looking at you ).

Fuck fans throwing shit. It seems to be the thing now. Originally it was just piece of shit Raider fans.

As for Tejas, I dug Ron Washington and thought they were good. To tell you the truth watching disappointment wash over Bush Jr and his piece of shit wife's face is pretty neato. I think the Rangers are pretty good but have no love for them. GW's disappointment is sweet though.

Come to think of it, if they lose and I disappear. I'm in Guantanamo. Guess I'm pulling for Texas now

Annoying as it is, because I like the human element. Replays are a neccessary evil because the umpiring is soooo bad. CB Buckner and Joe West. Nuff' said.

How can you forget the Eagles throwing snowballs and batteries at Santa! Philly invented the bleacher pastime of throwing shit. There's a few teams with asshole fans but I'd the Eagles easily the worst, not that being on that list is a difference but Philly is brutal on players, refs and in the media market as well. About half as bad as Boston and NY. So Philly wins.

Then there's hockey, they liked to trash the ice........

Like Cowboy fans are known as being Stupid or how Boston fans turn into cocky Yankee Jr fans after breaking the curse just like CUBS fans will be x 10. Stupid and cocky.

Most teams have their quirky followers, some more that others. SF and Dodger fans need to stop doing shit in the parking lot. I think it's been a quite year or so since the Murder season.

---------------------------------------------

I really don't have a beef with SF since I love the bay area. If the Dodgers don't do it I want the division to do it. This year I felt NYM or the Cards would have a better chance at the CUBS then the Giants. We'll see. I think with the CUBS not having to face the Mets or Cards gives them a little relief. They're like that 250lb retarded wimp in school with no confidence so they always got pushed around and when they finally break out they'll never stop or shut up. They're stacked, beyond stacked. They'll be the champs and it's going to be a fucking circus.

And Kershaw gets a BUM rap for his post season short comings. Take away one stupidly called CURVE BALL he's a game hero. Take away DON "I Like to use 2 pitchers in the playoffs" Clayton would have at least another if not two. Skipping Ryu to toss in Clayton on short rest just after he faced the killer Cardinal line up for a second time in a few days? Good call Don.....

Come on, some of that shit is manager and catcher blame. He's no Bumgarner, but he's not as bad as he gets blamed for. He got hit when he was young in his first postseason then got overused and add in a bad pitch later on......He's bad luck Clayton. Now's he's coming off injury and not fully in a grove. I think he's cursed on a cursed team. Watch Roberts do the same thing, ride him on short rest vs the same line up if they get the chance.

And when he does get hit, it's a one inning curse.....Bad luck Clayton. Vs the Card's it started with an Error. All that shit added up that don't show on the score card but plays a factor.

It's absurd to think Kershaw wouldn't ever be Kershaw in the post season. Schilling has been pounded before, Madbum has, even Mathewson has. Roberts has played for some good postseason managers. Mattingly has read about the postseason. There's a difference.

Even Asteriskrod got a clutch hit before. Plus with Clayton's time on the DL he won't be overused to start.

I'm not sure I hate LA more than I do Dusty Baker and hairflip boy.

Can they both lose? Can that be a thing?

What a shit fucking game. Great fucking effort from Cueto. The Giants couldn't put a runner on 1st even if they was asked to beat out a Lester check throw to first......Errrr....Fuck that game. Glad I only watched the ticker. The CUBS whiff a lot, Cueto did his part, now someone step the fuck up and get a hit. What a waste. I wished Chapman would have choked after all the crybaby shit about the Pen at the trade market.

Kershaw's no David Price.......DOH! WTF is wrong with Price. And I pegged him to be the CY and SO king this year, talk about flopping. Damn.......

I didn't expect to see a good Clayton start today and he didn't, he battled out of jams all game long and WON but he wasn't sharp and needed a few more weeks since missing the second half. Thing is, I think Clayton needs to experience a dominating playoff win to get the gorilla off his back. Then again if you can beat the Nat's and still pitch bad you're doing pretty good.

Oh well, Game 2, lets see what pitchers come off LAD's bench in the next couple games. It's a crap shoot. Roberts bringing in Jansen in the 8th.....Come on man. Let's burn up Clayton and our Closer! I wonder if Roberts called Don for that advice.
It was great to see him put puig back on the bench. I like Roberts and think he's don't an amazing job, with a little more experience he might be great. Just don't change shit up and don't burn out the arms.

With the WC take out your ace game.......SF needed this one, now it might turn out to be the CUBS making everyone else in the NL looking like Tampa. Just give the NY CUBS the tainted bought trophy already.

Hated the signing just because of his playoff history. He's the Peyton Manning of baseball.
Who would've ever thought that out of Price, Panda and Hanley that Hanley would have been the best signing?

I laughed my ass off when Cherington signed Fat Panda. I was in SF at the time of the announcement. If not for his 2012 WS performance, he wouldn't be looked at. He has a rep as a cancer. I watched Boston fans boo Keith Foulke in 2005. Fat Panda is sensitive and just entered hell.

Price I thought was "the" signing. He was all in for St. Louis, grew up there, grew up a Cards fan and Boston stepped in at the last minute. He's been a disappointment in Boston so far. Blows my mind. As I stated earlier, I don't think Boston has the pitching to compete. I wasn't expecting them to be 0-2 against Cleveland. Serves them right for what they did to Francona though.

SF/CHC went as I expected. I still think the Giants can win and the arrogance of the Cubs is kind of pissing me off. My whole I kinda want them to win is dying.

Texas is 0-2. The Curse Of Kill is strong.

I expected Kershaw/Scherzer to be a 1-0 game. The fuck? I was talking with my favorite bartender last night. I hate LA, ALMOST as much as the Yankees, but I love Dave Roberts and Kershaw. I don't hate LA as much as I hate Dusty Baker and hairflip boy. This is my hell.

I heard the other day that the Jay's Marco Estrada has one walk in 4 playoff games. Not one a game, but one in 4 fucking games! He has been a great playoff performer for the Jays.
Apparently Liriano has a concussion from the shot he took to the back of the head the other night.

Wow. That's interesting and not a good stat to have. After the hype of Moneyball and Kevin Youkilis walking became something of a fad.

Okay, "fad" isn't the right term, but you know what I mean.

I'm watching Texas @ Toronto. The Curse Of Kill is still strong and I love seeing the support the Jays have. It's been a while for them. Too bad they couldn't have put a team on the field like this when they had Halladay.

Earlier the pregame they were talking with Sheffield and Pedro. I learned so much about how some amazing pitchers ( Bumgarner ) dominate with zones, and some ( Price ) don't. It was about keeping the hitters uncomfortable and off balance.

No wonder the game is so tough right now. The info available is endless.

So were the Dodger, just not when it counts! load the bases 3 times and come up empty. 1 for 9 with runners in scoring position, 12 left on base..Struck them out 14 times....AND....Above all fucking things,

With 2 outs a guy named Jose Lobaton hit's a 3 RUN HOMERUN! Has anyone on this planet ever heard of a guy named Jose Labaton? No, no they haven't......He's 32 years old and has 17 career HR's!

This dude, Labaton, was batting .232AVG with 3HR and 8RBI's all fucking year and the wind was blowing in.....This was MR CLUTCH? Fucking hell! I bet he closed his eyes as he swung!

LAD deserves to lose now.

Boston loses 4-3 in a sweep to Cleveland. I didn't expect Boston to advance, their pitching scares no one. I also didn't expect Cleveland to sweep. Maybe I should pay more attention to the Indians.

LAD loses 8-3 to the Nats to go down 1-2. I haven't had a chance to check out this game yet. I was ( am? ) expecting a five game series.

SF stays alive in 13 innings for game 3. Bumgarner's scorless innings streak was broken by a 3 run homer by....Jake Arrieta. SF blew their first post season save in 50 attempts ( Romo/Bryant ).

I still think whomever wins the NL will win the whole thing. By that I mean SF or Chicago ( of course it's Chicago ). I've been massively wrong about Toronto so far though. I do think their offense and good ( not as good as Cleveland's ) pitching makes them the AL favorites.

The NLDS continues today with two elimination games.

WSH @ LAD. Ross against Kershaw. On paper this is in LA's favor, but with Kerahaw's back and short rest I wonder if they'll let him pitch deep. Also if it comes down to a pitching matchup. Roberts just has to outmanage Baker. That has to give the Dodgers an edge.

CHC @ SF. Lackey against Moore. I think the Giants have a slight edge in the pitching department since the Cubs haven't seen Moore yet.

The NL is a fucking beast this year.

Do you think the Giants have the edge tonight because the game ended so late last night, the Cubs are on the road
and the Cubs let an opportunity to clinch slip away?
Not sure if any team has an advantage in this situation, but most people might think being at home gives you the opportunity
to rest up just a little better. Who knows!
Nice to see ARod and Pete Rose doing the pre and post game shows. Two brilliant minds and students of the game right there, front and center,
ready to drop knowledge on the viewers.

Nice to see ARod and Pete Rose doing the pre and post game shows. Two brilliant minds and students of the game right there, front and center,
ready to drop knowledge on the viewers.
I think SF' has a slight edge ( not counting it being at home ) because Chicago is unfamiliar with Moore and he's a breaking ball pitcher. The Cubs have a low team BAA against breaking ball pitchers ( I'm going from memory, but it's Mendoza line-ish ).

I haven't heard Arod speak about the game before. He was remarkably talented so it wouldn't surprise me if he was knowledgeable about the game's intricasies ( not unlike Greinke or hair-flip boy currently ).

Although Joe Morgan is the greatest 2B of all time to hear him speak about the game it blows my mind he's played it at all.

Herschiser, Brynes ( he'a pretty funny ), Sheffield, and Pedro are the best going IMO, for on field insight. I dig the pitcher perspective best. I would like to have a catcher that was known to be a game calling wizard there too. Like Varitek, Posada, or Molina ( when he retires ).

I dug McCarver to an extent. He's old school, but this is the dude that caught Bob Gibson. His stories of his record and pursuit of in '68 were pretty cool.

Dodgers starting Clayton on short rest after not being "NSYNC" on Friday.......Good Games Washington enjoy the CUBS or hopefully the Giants.

No way I'd start Kershaw, it should be Julio Urias.
If Kershaw looked sharp a couple days ago I might change my opinion but after struggling? Are they trying to get him hurt or fuck up his stats...What are they trying to do? Both?

I don't see it working out well. Game on. 101 pitches a couple days ago, I just hope he don't end the season hurting himself more. Fuck the loss, he's going to have to fight all game, he wont be sharp I bet the farm on it.

*Edit* I said De Leon meant Julio Urias.

This is how Clayton gets misused, sure that isn't Don in the clubhouse? Don't have your best stuff and facing the same good line up twice on 3 days rest......Hope the bats show up and not the Halloween type.

Both this and the SF series have been pretty much won and lost by the pitchers offensively. Kershaw's double put LA ahead. Arrieta scored off Madbum, etc.

Fuck the DH.

I fucking love it, this weeks pitcher clutch hitting has been awesome. It's so much more exciting when it happens and adds dimension to the game. Fuck the Dunce Hitters, Dumb Hitting, DH. I even love how Bum has taken Clayton yard several times? At least twice in the last couple seasons.

Been flipping back n forth, see Clayton gave up a Run in the 1st and the 3rd, 7H in 6.2IP...6.2IP 7H 2ER 10SO
SO FAR!
Then with 2 OUTS and 2 ON he keeps him in to load the bases with a walk.......I would have yanked him. Now they're looking at a mess or a lucky escape.

I'm not really liking Roberts pitching choices.....Now it's BAEZ! I've seen him choke more times......Good Games. Bad call.....FUCK. This isn't going to end well...BAEZ?

BAEZ comes out of the pen, throws one pitch, hits the batter, brings in a run, then BAEZ walks back to the pen.

They're just trying to lose. I think when a Pitcher leaves Runners on base, the Manager should be charged for the ER's when he calls in a shit RP who gives up the runs.

*EDIT*

Then he brings in Avilan........Another bad fucking call playing this Lefty vs righty shit.

So.......
Kershaw goes from 6.2IP 7H 2ER 10SO TO.......6.2IP 7H 5ER all because Roberts called in BAEZ to hit a batter on one pitch and Avilan to give up a single and bring in 2 more.....When I was screaming Blanton or Howell. Blanton comes in and gets out of the inning after the damage.

Is it Clayton's Fault Roberts calls in BAEZ to hit a batter on one pitch then Avilan to give up 2 more? Should have went right to Blanton or Howell, I didn't even see Howell warming up. Guess he's not in the line up.

Then I would have went with ROSS. Anyone but BAEZ or Avilan......Funny how my two worst pitchers are the ones he called in.

So Kershaw actually done a good job holding them to 2RUNS in 6.2IP and 10SO.
But in the paper tomorrow it will say Kershaw 5ER in 6.2IP all because Roberts blew the pen call. I really like Roberts but that reminded me of Don. I would have pulled Kershaw after the HIT and BEFORE the walk.

That's my hell.
Why do you think I've been on the hate train since last season. I use to be a FAN, I liked the CUBS but their fans and MEDIA has sucked me dry, fuck um.....Not all mind you, some of you posters are cool but I've been bumping into so many roaches coming out of the woodwork with this attitude when they probably haven't watched a game all year. Not to mention the ones I worked with who'd dress in full gear and talk shit all season since last year.
They are worse then Yankee fans.

I'm tipping my hat for the CUBS winning the 2016 World Series. Fuck all the bandwagons and in your face fans. Happy for all the senior citizens who've waited a life time to see um win or the young kids. Hope they don't turn into Yankee or Boston attitude fans either. They finally built and bought a team, just like Boston after the curse, without any set backs they're built for a while. And rest assured the Media will run out of ink writing about it.

Jesus, I don't think I've ever seen such a throw out spastic celebration before, I thought I was watching the NFL for a second. Sure, It was a sweet play to catch a base steal but fuck, there was more fist pumps then Kirk Gibson's HR. I thought the catcher was going to run out there and suck his cock. Baze was it? Did he do a back flip on the way to the dugout?

Nice DP the shut out the next inning, I didn't see them do an endzone dance after but whatever.

Puke. Unbelievable puke. I feel I cursed them, honestly I do.

I'm going to go scrub a toilet now, to cleanse myself from what just went down.
