Re: President Trump
Another thing about Mueller. Trump told a reporter at a White House press conference that he would 100% testify to Mueller regarding James Comey's comments. Now that *sounds* lovely, but... At first impression, I don't see how that would make a difference as Trump would have no qualms about lying, so he'd have to be caught in a lie. And that could possibly be done by piecing the events together methodically or simply having Trump incriminate himself with his own words, but then you have the same shit with Republicans who won't act on it and 40% of a public that will still take his side. So we're back to the same stalemate.
I hope Mueller doesn't get fired. He's apparently been putting together a top team of legal minds for this investigation.

Lol, good point. No one can expect Trump to not be Trump. It's on the American people and the people in politics, especially those in his own party, that might have more sanity or reason to maintain an environment of accountability.EddieVanHeineken wrote:TenBenny wrote:Another thing about Mueller. At some point, it *will* be just Trump. It'll come down to him and some committee, and he'll have to speak for himself. Based on the tweets, someone better do everything they can to make sure that day never comes.

Re: President Trump
What strikes me most hypocritical about trump supporters.... the ones I know Are all super protective of their daughters and tell stories of passively threatening boys by showing their guns. They also hate the transgender bathroom laws bc of some imagined threat to their wives and children. Yet they vote for somebody who outright BRAGGED ABOUT WALKING INTO THE DTESSING ROOM OF MISS TEEN USA WHILE THEY WETR NAKED! on Howard stern. One of the contestants complained to ivanka and all she said was "yeah, he does that". They voted for the guy who is an actual threat. They also hate the supposed "entitled", yet they continue to vote for the most entitled people in this country.
Trumps own words regarding miss teen. "Well, I'll tell you the funniest is that I’ll go backstage before a show, and everyone's getting dressed and ready and everything else, and you know, no men are anywhere. And I'm allowed to go in because I'm the owner of the pageant and therefore I'm inspecting it. You know, I'm inspecting, I want to make sure that everything is good.
You know, the dresses. ‘Is everyone okay?’ You know, they're standing there with no clothes. ‘Is everybody okay?’ And you see these incredible looking women, and so, I sort of get away with things like that. But no, I've been very good."
Your okay with having someone like this walking into teen girls locker rooms? Your okay with this sense of entitlement? Or does entitlement not apply to someone on your political team?

People like this, the voters you're describing, don't understand things in correlation. Take away the ACA for example, have somebody lose his or her medical care because of it and become gravely sick or worse, and then it becomes real. I feel like such people only understand visceral results, not hypothetical parallels. Not that I would want bad things to happen to anyone. But realistically there would probably have to be some nightmarish change in their lives that they saw as directly caused by Trump or the culture he's fostered to make that flip in their minds. And even then it's not a flip because of an ideology concerning human dignity, just that selfish realization of them having been personally affected.EddieVanHeineken wrote:What strikes me most hypocritical about trump supporters.... the ones I know Are all super protective of their daughters and tell stories of passively threatening boys by showing their guns. This election has further highlighted that America is clearly a nation where a good chunk of the population lacks critical-thinking skills and exposed just how selfish many people are. I think a lot of those people, to be fair on one level, actually *would* say Trump is a lech and that such behavior is wrong, it's just that they were selfish enough to want what they wanted from his promises, enough to overlook that quality in him.

They don't call her Failin for nothing... Too bad this shirt sold out and hasn't been available since 2015..

Barron Trump Gets J. Crew Shirt Sold Out WITHIN HOURS
People are still talking about when President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania, and son Barron walked off Air Force One.
As Melania and Barron were en route to officially move into the White House, all eyes were on Barron.
As previously reported, Barron’s new toy is causing quite the spin.
People however are loving his “The Expert” shirt – it is sold-out, per Daily Mail:
He continued to keep things low-key as he crossed the tarmac on Sunday evening as well, outfitted in navy blue chinos, New Balances and a $30 J Crew t-shirt with ‘The Experts’ written across the front.
That shirt is now sold-out at the popular retail chain.
Per Washington Examiner:
The gray cotton ringer T-shirt with the words “The Expert” in blue lettering gained attention after 11-year-old Barron paired it with dark jeans and sneakers on Sunday.
“We’re sorry. This item has been so popular, it has sold out,” J. Crew’s website said of the $29.50 shirt.
Publications such as the Daily Mail and the Washington Examiner are hailing Barron Trump as a fashion icon after reporting that a $30 J. Crew shirt the 11-year-old wore sold out.
“Barron Trump Gets J. Crew Shirt Sold Out WITHIN HOURS,” reads a headline on former Alaska governor Sarah Palin’s website.
That’s not true. The shirt has been off the market for some time.
J. Crew told Business Insider that its “The Expert” t-shirt was from its Spring 2015 collection. It was not re-released yesterday and would have “sold out” long before the president’s son wore the shirt.
