I've had this movie on my radar for awhile now and finally got around to watching it. I think it may have been hyped a bit too much b/c I was slightly let down. I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting but it wasn't as great as I hoped. The acting was really good and Benicio Del Toro's character was the best. I think I was expecting a faster pace and a bit more excitement. Good but not great.

Collosal 4/10. I didnt want it to be Pacific Rim, but that was the most hamfisted metaphor for alcoholism and abuse being a "monster" ever.
10 Cloverfield Lane 7/10 . A better treatise on abuse. Not sure why I saw both of these at the same time.
Alien Covenant- 4/10. Were they TRYING to make me hope the alien killed every one of these pussy characters? Cause they succeeded.

It- 7/10. Flawed but there are some decent scares and Pennywise is creepy as fuck. Got an extra point for nostalgia.

IT - 9/10.
The population explosion would be less of a problem if lighting the fuse didn't feel so good.

Depends on your expectations going in. If you're just going to enjoy a guilty pleasure horror flick, you'll love it. It had some amazing moments and great effects and visuals.

The Eichmann Story on Netflix - 8/10
Children of the Corn - 4/10 Back in 1984, I thought it was scary. Now? Bad acting, terrible script, and ridiculous effects.

Beyond the Gates - nicely done 80's style horror film, with Barbara Crampton (ReAnimator) in a role. 8/10

This movie got savaged by most critics, but I've seen a couple vigorously suggesting that it actually is worth a watch.

"Brad's Status" - 8.5/10
Great movie. Really sharp writing, with a great Ben Stiller performance. He's really entered into a seasoned dramatic actor phase over the last several years. Very astutely reflective of the way Americans live and think, and anyone with kids will probably at least partially identify with this or see his or her future in it.

I kept putting it off, but I finally watched The Green Inferno yesterday. Holy fuck that was brutal. And why did the girl lie at the end about the cannibalism? 7/10
