I'm thinking they would have harrassed any pro-health care reform protester who'd sat down in front of them! And he made it an issue when he sat down there with his sign in their face. Well, I think you're right, but it was an effective tactic, because they come off as pure unfeeling assholes heckling him that way. Which he pretty much knew they'd do.

If they'd been smart, they would have ignored him completely, then he would have had to get back up to try and get their attention, thus losing the handicaped card he was playing. But they didn't do that, so his ploy worked. Which, since this kind of pathetic shit IS the way it's playing out, he demonstrated that they don't care about people who are sick or handicapped. If you can't foot the bill yourself, you can just die, in the minds of such people.

So, really, I think he did a great job, and a lot of people will think hard after seeing that vlip.

Let's say he hadn't had a sign identifying himself as a Parkinson's patient. Just a pro-health care reform sign, and he did a sit-in in front of them. Would the result have been any different?
