Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.
Just saw a post on FB from SKID Row's page with the announcement that Erik has parted ways with SR and Lizzy Hale is filling in temporarily for upcoming dates..

If the Bach reunion doesn’t happen now it never will. I’m still betting no.

At this point, they have to go back to Bach. Whatever credit they just built up with their fan base just went out the window.

Lzzy Hale for 4 shows will be cool though.
Re: Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.
They will find another singer eventually. He will last 6 months. Rinse and repeat. Not a Bach fan but this isn’t all him. The other side seems just as douchey.

If that Cartersville show wasn't 5 hours away, I'd consider going, just for curiosity value.
Too bad for Erik, but honestly, I can't say I'm surprised.

Re: Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.
Nope. They’ll end Skid Row and call it quits before they ever reconcile with Bach. They have their pride and dignity and Bach has burned way too many bridges for them to ever want him back in the band.Black Stuff wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 7:25 amyep, but that wont happenVince Neil Eats wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 7:15 am At this point, they have to go back to Bach. Re: Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.
I don't know that he's burned bridges, as much as their personalities clash. He said it in an interview recently, how can you be mad at someone you haven't been in the same room with in 25 years.
Clearly Bach gets along fine with Rob Affuso, and he's not in the band either. They're all adults, and they get to decide who they want to spend time with, it's as simple as that.

You're telling me Lzzy Hale doesn't have anything better to do than fill in for casino shows in random rural towns?

They're in between album cycles, I think. Back from the Dead came out in Summer of 2022. I'm sure she's just doing it for fun.JourneyRules wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 8:00 am You're telling me Lzzy Hale doesn't have anything better to do than fill in for casino shows in random rural towns?

Re: Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.
They have worse luck with singers than Spinal Tap has with drummers.

Re: Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.
Should they get back with Bach? Probably no.
Would it last long if they did? Probably no.
Would it end well when it does? Probably no.
But at this point, can their revolving door of singers get any worse? Probably no.
They should just get him back, and then they can say they tried. They’ve had 3 singers on studio albums, and other singers on between. Are they going to do another album with another new singer?

Re: Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.
I’m one of the few NOT surprised by this. The guy was totally unreliable. Good singer, nice guy… but his health issues are an indisputable fact.

Maybe some promoter of a festival show will make them a big offer for one night with the original lineup. How much would it take?

My god. This was thing they had going for them.
Like others said. Bach May be a pain but it’s not all him.

I’m completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. These two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death.

Alright! We know who they should bring Bach to the microphone!
I never post when I'm sober.
Re: Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.
If they don't get Bach back now, I think they will look ridiculous. You just can't get a new singer every year or so. I think it makes it look like they are just as much of a basket case as Bach. Just my opinion.

Re: Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.
its a shame because it was the only post Bach SR that was worth a listen. Having said that, what were they thinking by hiring a stage 4 cancer survivor?
Its not a good move and it isnt a move that has to be made but the only thing left in the SR bag of trix is getting Bach back. Call it a victory lap, a cash grab or whatever, that all they have other than calling it quits.

Honestly, he didn't sound bad in the clips I heard. Certainly was better than Tony Harnell and Johnny Solinger (RIP) at sounding like the classic material.

Re: Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.
Given how much Erik sounds like Bach, if they plan to continue to record albums, why not just keep Erik as their studio guy and have another singer for live shows?
The Gang's All Here is amazingly close to a high quality Bach fronted follow up to Slave To The Grind. And 30 years on it's practically a miracle. Subhuman Race doesn't work for me at all.
