Yes indeed. That's probably the plan to do a 40 year anniversary tour. That would be cool if they played the entire record.

This "40 year" thing kinda depresses me though! I saw Motley and Def Leppard this year. There is just something uncool about the "40 years of rock" t-shirts. I'm happy for these bands to still be around and doing well. I just wish they had at least a couple hits in the past 30 years!

Playing LWTCDI in its entirety will be longer than their usual set time!
They may have to cut a couple songs

Just how sad is it that Bret and Rikki, two supposedly "life long friends", now communicate via IG posts sniping at each other?

I've got to be honest, I'm not convinced that all four of them make it to 2026, and if they don't, it's going to be all Bret's fault for dragging this shit out.

Might drive up to Seattle for this show
Outside sunny Seattle with 19,999
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

P13's gonna be predicting a jam-packed tour--if Bert and Rikki can stop arguing long enough to make it happen, that is.

Bert left a lot wiggle room in his statement
“…so it would make perfect sense to have the possibility of a reunion in 2026. In my opinion, it would be the perfect 40th Anniversary Tour, with 40 awesome limited dates to go out, play real live hit songs, and rock the world…”

If they actually tour, I'll go, but it'll be to support the other three guys, not Bret. Back in 2006, I thought the whole "Bobby throwing his bass at Bret thing" was just a one off bit of frustration towards the end of a tour, but it's clear that shit has been wrong for a very long time.

Fuck. I remember waking up to them playing that goddam song when they were writing it in the (attached) rehearsal room.

40. Fucking. Years. Ago.

40 years ago should always be olde timey shit, like World War 2.

Half-alive or half-dead? I just can’t tell…

I stand by my prediction for the tour to feature a reunited Twisted Sister as direct support.

I had the same thoughts. Every time I'm at a show, there's a sliver of wondering that I'll never see this act again. If Bret is really having health issues than it's sensible and good to be looking after himself and wait but if it ends up with another solo tour than that's wasted time. Look at Aerosmith and Van Halen's wasted years. There's no guarantee Heart is in any shape to finish their rescheduled dates in 2025. Poison could make a spectacle being one of the few acts that can boast 100% original lineup all over the tour advertisements and hype the hell out of that. They were the best band on the Stadium Tour and could have ridden that momentum into a headliner tour in 2025 for sure, priced right (love to see Twisted & Tesla on the bill).

This was my 2023 & 2024 concert list. How many of these acts do I stand a chance of seeing 3 years from now? 5 years from now? The 80s acts there's a little more time to spare but the ones that made their bones in the 60s and 70s, the sand has to be seriously running out. I'm only 37, started going to concerts at 13 years old (KISS, Buffalo 2000 was my first) and I've spent nearly 25 years trying to see every act that ever mattered. 237 concerts grand total and I've been insanely lucky to have seen what I have seen, but I know the chase for these legends is seriously slowing down.

Journey, Toto
Cheap Trick
Styx
John Mellencamp
Diana Ross
Steve Miller Band
Peter Frampton
Tesla x2
Rod Stewart
Stevie Nicks
Honeymoon Suite, Aldo Nova, Men Without Hats, Spoons
John Fogerty, George Thorogood,
The Rolling Stones
REO Speedwagon
Derek St. Holmes
Tom Keifer, John Corabi
Tom Keifer, Winger, Lita Ford
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band x2
Gene Simmons
Ace Frehley x3
Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band
Honeymoon Suite, Vixen

Heartbreaking of all was REO. They always deliver even if it is a setlist you can predict without even looking it up (though I was thrilled to hear That Ain't Love as a surprise audible) but Kevin's voice shows serious wear and it was a struggle for him at times. Sooner or later, age and it's limitations will catch them all. Even the workhorse Springsteen is showing his age in his voice.

It makes that Rush R40 Tour all the more special the further it gets in the rearview mirror. I don't think any band will ever have a victory lap like they did.
