That's a tad harsh. The 1st 3 records are classics, especially the 1st. The next 2 are blah. Scream Dream is good. From there on out it's garbage.

Motley Crue, absolutely the worst albums by any band I've ever heard. Also the worst live band I ever saw. Not even close.

I take it you haven't seen WASP. At least not in the 80s.

No, never got to see WASP. But I did get to see Celtic Frost in their glam phase, Roxx Gang, Tigertailz and other assorted D-list glam bands - Motley Crue were considerably worse than any of them.

Outside of Appetite, GNR’s catalog isn’t that good especially for how big they are. I agree with the prevailing Sludge winds and critics that UYI should have been one album.

WASP albums are laughably bad. As is everything else about them.

Twisted Sister were Black Sabbath compared to clowns like WASP and Motley Crue but had a catalog that was very hit and miss

Great White made very mediocre albums. It took me along time to realize this. There were so many better bands than them.

For all the love and hype they get on here, Kix’s catalog is nothing to write home about. A respectable live band but they weren’t AC/DC much less Poison, even though they wanted to be desperately.

The answer is Quiet Riot. Any other answer is simply wrong. Metal Health is a legitimately great album but absolutely everything else they've released, no matter what lineup, is absolute bush league garbage.

They must have bought the songs for MH, that's the only explanation that makes sense.

To be fair many C-D-listers were decent live. Keel, Icon or Heavens Edge wiped the floor with most arena bands on a good day.

Also, if you think Motley made the worst albums by any band you have heard you may be a bit biased. I don't think I could enjoy a concert by a band I disliked that much even if their live performance was Led Zeppelin level.

Yngwie's debut is a classic, but "Little Savage" is not very good. The debut, Odyssey, Eclipse, and his Concerto are solid. Plus there are a few songs on other albums that are decent. "Bad Blood" is a good tune.

I saw WASP on the Electric Circus tour and Slayer opened. WASP was better than Slayer.

If LAGlamtard doesn't appreciate High-n-Dry or Pyromania, he should be banned for life from this board.

I'd say it's a close race with Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, and Great White.

Agreed. Solid albums, through and through, up to KFD.

I cant stand anything on Metal Health, except for the title track and the cover song. They have to get my vote.
Ratt have a lot of fans on here, but they also are up there IMO... but far better than QR.

I cannot believe some of the shit I'm reading in this thread! W.A.S.P.'s first SIX (counting Live...In The Raw) albums are from very solid to excellent. Still Not Black Enough was a drop in quality, but KFD was right back up there. Especially considering what a departure it was from their regular style.

Motley's first 4 albums are anywhere from 3 to 5 five stars.

Extreme has some so-so tracks, but every album has at least 5 great songs.

I get it if you aren't a fan of any of these bands, but to say that any of them qualify as having the "worst catalog" is nothing short of ridiculous. I GO!

P.S. If anybody mentions Dokken I'm gonna lose my shit. Now I GO!

As far as major bands, I guess I would agree with Kiss as they have a lot of filler. Same with Motley. And if Nugent is included, I vote for him as well. Other than his first three solo records from the 70s, his catalog is almost 100% garbage.
yeah, after hearing all the accolades on here for southgang I checked out the first album.
Not good.
He’s a great guitar player but that’s it
Southgang IS TERRIBLE. But Motley is the easy answer. Just a bad band. 100% image. KISS had 6 awesome releases in the 70's + Creatures.

Motley may be the luckiest band in the world.

Keel Anvil Jackyl & TS - I've listened to the catalogues of all these bands & I would never purposely listen to a song by any of them. Much less a whole record.
QR Stryper Y & T Extreme - These bands have 6 or so tunes each that I'll enjoy, but no way am I cranking a whole record
Crue WASP KISS - While I wouldn't say their whole catalogue is great, it's no where near the worst for a Sludge or any band.

Out of Keel's first five only The Right to Rock is not very good. And it still has more good songs than the average Twisted Sister or Great White album to mention two platinum bands.

Not that you’ll respond

W.A.S.P. were a dumb, low rent, bad version of KISS. Which is saying a lot.

You’re mixing Extreme up with a bunch of your favorite bands,

Their first two were good. As good as Skid Row and your idols in Guns N Roses.

Well, they only had two singles from MH, one was a cover, and one was a carryover from Carlos Cavazo's old band.

Slick Black Cadillac rules, though. Kevin wrote it in response to Randy complaining that their music was too simple.

It's a toss-up between Twisted Sister and Quiet Riot.

At least TS quit when the sales dried up. Quiet Riot kept on and on.

40 years of albums and not enough good songs between all of them for a solid greatest hits album.
