…that the front cover shot for Highway to Hell and back cover shot for Powerage were from the same 1977 photo session.
If I could figure out how to attach pics on this site, I’d show it.

And I suspect that the doberman on Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap is the same one on Animal Magnetism, they were both done by Pignosis.

Huh. I could see that, just hard to tell since only Angus and Malcolm have clear shots in both.

Saw a HTH pic outtake and you could see Phil’s blue shirt and Cliff’s red shirt, same as back of Powerage. Prompted me to check the interwebs. Probably Malcolm’s call: “I ain’t payin’ for two fuckin’ foto shoots.” Like how he dressed up for it. Fun to learn something new about album covers you spent hours studying as a kid.Anthrax442 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 11:02 am Huh. I think it was more like, they did a photo shoot for Powerage, and then a designer was told to come up with front cover for HTH. The band's prolly on tour and he's given the job, so he goes into the archive, finds a session he likes (prolly the only one that has newboy Cliff in it), and starts slicing and dicing photos to make a collage that works, and starts colorizing it.
The Powerage back is a photo. The HTH cover is a photomontage.

It's good to be bad
It's the best time you'll ever have
What the hell is this ultra sad
Pray for your cool and work on that ass!

Closer than I woulda thought. Still had to be tweaked, airbrushed, colorized and tail added in.WentEast wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 4:12 pmhttps://www.reddit.com/r/ACDC/comments/ ... r_outtake/HueyRamone wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 3:21 pmI think it was more like, they did a photo shoot for Powerage, and then a designer was told to come up with front cover for HTH.
