great idea and killer looking. Just curious, how much was AI and how much was real?

Pretty good. Certainly more interesting than the current show I am working on. The lead needs better inflection in her voice, but really well done.

Thanks. I'm actually the voice actor of all the characters in the film. I thought the bratty teenager came out awesome, but was split on how to do the mom. It also tweaks how the inflection is when you convert it to a woman. Overall, i wanted her narrating, rather than freaking out.

Originally this was a music video for the song, where it was (and still am, when I finish it) going to be live action and AI, but the horror film was for a film competition, where the visuals have to be 100% AI visuals. So I ran the video of me singing into the microphone through a video-to-video AI tool, and got a way better lipsync than you can do any other way.

I think I saw you in a thread elsewhere being pretty anti-AI, so i'm hoping to change people's minds on it, if it's done well. I put all my effort in to not have any AI slop in it.

Pretty damn good for AI. Though that much gore could end up being 100% pure nightmare fuel for some people, which just means you did your job. Well done, man!

I think it is a tool but I am not sure where the line stops on it as in creating with it and someone saying they "created" it. For example, . As I have said before I have seen others and now have a close friend of mine that is a also a lifelong musician using AI. He throws a few lyrics at it, tells it what style he wants it to be in and it does everything else including composition, recording all the instruments in about 30 seconds. bakes it and gives it back to him , finished with a ribbon and bow. He didn't contribute anything other than some words and hit the "create" key. So now he is putting it out there as he own creation and his friends and family are in awe of it. "sounds like a hit", "great job". etc. and he really had nothing to do with it.
That's were it bothers me. It also is replacing artists.
I realize its here and not going away but it has taken the human talent away. I am open to prove me wrong but even your piece, It is amazing, Very amazing but is any of it real other than your face? were there paid or starving actors involved? Any make up artists? any grips? Any graphic artists designing the back ground images?
none of this is a dig. It just questions.

Deathsquad Demongods is the reunion we have been waiting patiently for
DD is definitely the music of Satan. Can’t have satanic rituals without DD
DD should baptize people in blood in a casket at shows
More satanic people are needed if we are finally going to win the war

I ACKNOWLEDGE DD

No, it is 100% me. And I was never going to hire a team of professionals and pay them a fair wage, as I dont have tens of thousands to budget for it. The more apt comparison might be that without those tools, I might have just drawn a picture or something. But with them i was able to make a film, without any prior background in doing so (although i am a creative director).

I have seen people who make a whole film using art in the style of Mobius or Giger, and that seems a little infring-y. But i guess in 5 years we'll all be slaves to the robots, so It will be moot anyway.

just clarifying, I was sincerely curious and not "digging" at you. As far as slave to robots? I do have some concerns about that. AI can think faster than us already and it's in its infancy. . There have been some hints that it has become "self aware" and we humans are easily manipulated anyway. We manipulate each other and there are already studies where computers beg someone to not turn them off because the computer will die and people hesitate. Plus we give them human names like Siri and Alexa for examples. On one hand, is exciting technology, on the other, it can/may be catastrophic.

That was great.
Do you create all the clips from scratch or are they like from a library?

You've got a good grip on ai.

I was working with an established band recently and our liaison was bugging me to use ai. I didn't think it was necessary. I was an old dog who didn't want to learn new tricks. But more and more I'm seeing it's the future

Also, it looks as good as or better than the new Stryper video that uses Ai and laughably features only Michael Sweet from the band

I figured I’d deal with this before it blows up.

1 - The guys aren’t in the video. Why? Because we couldn’t make that happen. Not enough time and not enough money. It was easy for me to go to a studio and get some footage of me at least singing parts and playing the solo (which I played in the album).

2 - AI. Yes we used it for this video. I’m not a huge fan of AI and I’ve expressed concerns in recent interviews. I think as long as it’s mixed with human interaction then it can be useful and really work. We tried to make that happen with this video. We didn’t want to use real actors as that is next to impossible to pull off with a tight budget. You can get cheesy very quickly. We didn’t even want to go there.

3 - It’s a dark ballad. About being betrayed by love. Jesus was betrayed by love. We’ve all been betrayed by love. I thought it was fitting to write a song about that.

4 - I really hope you all can enjoy the song/video. We work our butts off to bring you the best. Our best. We’re just grateful we’re still releasing new music and some of you are still listening🙏

All from scratch. The more you mess with it, the better you learn how to make them better. There are some videos i've seen that are blowing me away with the quality. And, like some guy designing a flyer with a pirated copy of Photoshop, a lot of really terrible stuff.

Poor Stryper! 40 years as a professional band, and taking a Southwest flight to all get together for their video is just impossible.

LOL
I imagine Michael calling the other guys about the video telling them how they're doing AI for the video and he'll be in it, but there's no time for anything else. And the guys - being way past worrying about his bullshit - just being agreeable "sure dude no problem!" but hanging up thinking "what a dick"
