She has to "run the table." Assuming she keeps Nevada blue (which is turning into a big if), she needs to win PA, WI, and MI to become president. Trump only needs to pick off one of those.

I agree with this. Trump seems to have the upper hand with the EC. I despise Trump, but polls have him with a lead in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin right now. It is only a point lead, but Harris needs at least a couple point lead in those polls if she is to have a chance to win them. Basically, a close poll in those states favors Trump on election night.

All that said, when I see people say something like, "If Harris/Trump wins, the country is doomed", I don't agree with that. No matter who wins next week, the country will continue just as it has been. The economy will go up and down, prices will go up and down, we will continue to argue about all our differences, there will continue to be chaos in Middle East, etc. The country will survive whoever the next president is.

The last trusted poll I saw had Harris up in PA, MI and WI. Trump up in AZ, NC, GA and NV. NC close enough for Harris to take it.

Trump might have just fucked himself with the Puerto Rican vote which could put PA and WI in the bag for Harris as both have large Puerto Rican communities.

I was looking at FiveThirtyEight this morning and they had Trump up by a point or tied in those states. Even if Harris was up by a point in those states, that isn't a big of a lead come election night. She needs a two to three point lead at least. Like I said, a close poll in those states only favors Trump next Tuesday.

If nothing Trump has done so far has hurt him, a comedian making jokes about PR won't hurt him. That is nothing compared to what Trump has done in the past.

So you're going to cast your vote for someone that already tried to destroy our representative democracy by stealing the last election? That makes you either racist... or just plain fucking stupid.

Either way, voting for this guy given everything he says and has done is completely indefensible. Don't play the "I'm a conservative", there are thousands / millions of conservatives that won't vote for the guy because their prime concern isn't voting against a liberal, it's saving the republic.
Kerry67 wrote: Wed Oct 30, 2024 3:25 am But I wish we had a different candidate. But at least he was voted in during the primaries unlike the democratic candidate who was so horrible in 2020 she was the first to drop out due to ZERO support.
You cult members always have some *angle* that justifies your support no matter what else.

Why are you okay to support someone that almost everyone that worked with him last time says he's unfit for office and a fascist at heart. His Cabinet members, GOP congressmen and women, military generals, his own chief of staff, his fucking Vice President for crying out loud.

Why do you dismiss everything these people say? The people who worked most closely with him and saw exactly who he is.
So, you're going to cast YOUR vote for someone who you did not have a chance to vote for in a primary. Someone who, in 2020 had ZERO support and was the first to drop out, someone who was considered the WORST VP in history, but since she was placed there by the party, now all of a sudden she is the savior of the country. What the hell did she do as VP? Yeah, I will vote for Trump.

It's what MAGA wanted... they kept saying Biden was old and senile and should not be eligible. He drops out but now you're worried about people's votes counting all of the sudden. All the GOP does it try to get votes declared illegal or ineligible. You guys are so dumb you can't even fake your idiocy in a believable way.

You're just an idiot just parroting what you hear on conservative media. Not an original thought ever goes through your head. Some of us aren't dummies. You are.

Lol no it isn't. It's a competition between a middle-of-the-road, corporate Democrat and a compulsive liar with dictator aspirations who probably couldn't pass a high school civics class. Take policy out of this - one of these people comports themselves like a grown-ass adult professional and the other is id, impulse, and narcissism run wild. I don't even want to demonize all Republicans but there certainly are a lot of enablers who are permitting this to happen just so their side maintains power.

If this is just purely based on the economy and your wallet, and not moral-based (which it really should be), how can there be any choice? There are new reports this morning that the economy just grew 2.8%, gas prices are falling below $3/gallon, 233,000 new jobs created this month alone - Why would anyone hate that?

Trump is already posting about "cheating" in Pennsylvania - he knows he's losing.

Nearly a decade later - same song and dance from this clown.

“Ted Cruz didn’t win Iowa, he illegally stole it. That is why all of the polls were so wrong any [sic] why he got more votes than anticipated. Bad!” Trump tweeted Wednesday morning. The tweet disappeared within minutes of posting and was replaced by with another that no longer included the word “illegally.”

He followed up with an ultimatum: “Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified,” he tweeted. Trump said later Wednesday that he’ll likely sue. “I probably will; what he did is unthinkable,” he said during an interview with Boston Herald Radio.

Trump literally tried to overthrow and corrupt an election. There is nothing less American than voting for him.

You want to know why we think Trump voters are fascists, just watch the uncut, unedited footage of people that Trump called to Washington assaulting the literal seat of American government. We. The. People's. Fucking. House. Watch his idiot followers assault America at his urging. Watch Ashley Babbitt's blood needlessly spilled. She was there that day for one reason, and because one person told her to be.

He is a traitor who tried to overthrow the government, and if you support him, you have thrown your lot in with a traitor, full stop.

Myself, I like America, so it pains me to see it attacked. Understand, if you do not feel that way, I see you as I would anyone who attacks my country.

It's truly amazing, how some people are so downright positive (and ignorant) that the OTHER side are all nuts.

I honestly have little to no concern, nor care for anything related... meaning Politics as a whole. Never have, and likely never will.

I firmly believe, that your vote is as worthless as a napkin from Dunkin' Donuts.

If we ask 100 people who they like on American Idol or anyone of these TV contestant shows (Big Brother, Survivor, etc..) that requires the viewer to vote, and we asked, "Do you think the poll is fair or rigged?", it's a safe bet, that a solid percentage don't truly believe their call in vote really matters.

In short, many think these shows or programs are all scripted and the outcome is decided long before we see episode 1. Or so, that is what many believe.

Those same people will say; "I don't trust they're being honest" or find many reasons as to why clicking on your PC, mobile app, texting or calling in to vote, is simply getting lost in the ether, while the executives and big shots at these companies and corporations behind the scenes, doing what they can and are making the final decisions.

Fair?

Same applies for the various Beauty Pageants, and everything from local contests, to sports and competitions on a National or International level.

If you don't trust some Producers and big wigs at some Entertainment company in NY or LA (whom you've never met), why would you trust the Politicians from Washington D.C.? Also, who you've never met.

It has been this way forever, and even more in today's world, where Side A think that Side B are crazy, unhinged, deplorable and the rest. But their side, their view, their opinion is researched, confirmed and the better choice. Of course, this also applies with Side B and their thoughts on Side A.

"I read a poll that says he is winning", the other side, "I saw a poll for the same state, but it's a trusted poll, and it says she is winning" and the tennis volley continues.

In reality, it's pretty much an even split, and usually with any of these polls / elections. It's like asking Google if Dark Chocolate or Red Wine, or eating a lot of Vegetables is good for you. One article says yes, the other says no.

With that, if you think 50% of the world is nuts, but your side is sane, then you are equally the nutcase and guilty of being stupid and ignorant.

Sadly it's not even about Policy or the Politics at this point, people either "like him and hate her", or "like her and hate him", it's about the person.

It doesn't matter what he or she say or do, the other side will dig up a reason to inform the masses they "lied", or "flip flopped" or point out why they're no good.

I have never voted, and never will... my 10 minutes is better spent power spraying my garbage cans so they don't smell.

Not exactly. If she wins the blue wall, she doesn't need Nevada. Those 3 blue wall states get her to 270 absent any other major surprises.

One thing I’ve noticed about this thread.
Conservatives here seem to shit talk Kamala.
Liberals seem to shit talk Trump and the posters that support him.
Calling them stupid, evil etc…
Why is that?
Do liberals treat every facet of life this way?
If someone doesn’t think like them, or just in the political arena?
Genuinely curious.

$tEvil
It's always stunning when someone is proud of their ignorance.

Yeah, the Trumpites are sooo tolerant...

It's absolutely idiotic to contend Zep weren't A-listers in the 1970s.

I’m going to write in Stevie Rachelle. Both candidates suck. What I’m most amazed about in this election is what the media has become. There are no Walter Conkrite’s. The opinion of truth is now way more important than getting to the truth. I just want who, what, why and where. I think Trump will win. He does still seem fairly sharp and he works his ass off. All in all, whomever is President doesn’t change my life much.
