80s bands that you didn't listen to or appreciate much in their heyday

I've tried to go back and listen to bands I didn't like in the 80s and nope, they still suck.

For me, it's more bands that I missed because they didn't get any pub or were late to the party:

Brittny Fox - never gave them much of a chance back in the day as I hated their look on the debut album cover.

Decades later when I actually gave them a chance , wow their second ( Boys in Heat ) and third (Bite Down Hard) albums are amazing. Although the Debut has their best song with its amazing guitar solos .

Bite Down Hard is heavier with the new singer and at one time was my favourite, but have come to rank the Second album slightly higher nowadays .

They have the perfect mix of heaviness and melodic hooks .

Pretty much agree with all of this. The look on debut was terrible..the songs were fine, got some airplay. Didn't hate them, singles were catchy enough, but you just knew they have no chance for long term success.

I did hate the cover of Hair of the Dog, but 2nd was pretty solid overall. They hit their stride on Bite Down Hard. Took me a while to actually listen to it, but it has some great tunes on it;

Saw them on a rock never stops tour in 98 with Warrant, Quiet Riot and Slaughter. And they won me over.

Sadly, The Cure. Heard and liked the hits but I never really did a deep dive into their music until I bought and was blown away by the live "Trilogy" DVD. They're a top 3 all-time band for me now.
