An event for an April 11, 2025 concert at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis was posted on Facebook today, then removed.

This is a little exciting on the surface, but then I start scratching…
1. It’s really just ‘Young/Johnson’.
2. They’re both old as dirt and look every minute of it.
3. Stadiums are worst possible venues.
4. Summer is the worst possible time for an outside show.
5. Oh and any decent seat will be $500+.
Hard pass. You can’t go back.

AC/DC with Alanis Morissette's rhythm section?
Yeah those guys can play, but man..... it's over.
Find a good AC/DC tribute band and go catch em for $20 or whatever.

Spring and Fall. Summer heat is miserable… at least in the lower half of the country… with humidity it’s literally a physical endurance challenge. Brutal. And in the south, powerful thunderstorms are possible every single evening. Awful experience. Especially for the cost.Hair I Go Again wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 6:50 amI'll give you the other four, but this one stumped me. You'd rather see an outside show in the dead of winter?

Now I’m lost. I’ve never seen weather forecasts calling for 50/50 chance of rain every night during the summer.Spongie wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:07 amSpring and Fall. I'm more along these lines. I'm a HUGE AC/DC fan (more Bon era) but I seen them in the heyday and spending $1000+ to see them in a ginormo-dome with one OG member sounds shitty (sounds like Rudd may not show up??)Spongie wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 5:32 am This is a little exciting on the surface, but then I start scratching…

Seeing Flotsam And Jetsam at some club somewhere sounds a zillion times better
It's good to be bad
It's the best time you'll ever have
What the hell is this ultra sad
Pray for your cool and work on that ass!

Without Cliff and Phil, I'll pass.

It’s a southern thing. They’re very spotty and isolated, but always in the area and usually very strong.eddie lee roth wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 11:52 amNow I’m lost. Pretty much my thoughts. You're seeing a couple guys that were in AC/DC and a couple guys that have been in the band 5 minutes.Spongie wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 5:32 am This is a little exciting on the surface, but then I start scratching…

I'm done paying outrageous amounts for these types of shows. Hard pass for me too.

I'd be interested if they didn't have a complete nobody on drums and a guy that was in Jane's Addiction during their uninteresting years on bass.
If they had some well known players it would be a different story. Maybe bring back Slade on the drums and get a well known rock player on bass.
I don't want to see Brain, Angus and Stevie with two career session players.

I hope the Axl rumor is true. I thought GNR was going to reconvenine in 2025

Slade is ancient. People already bitched about his timing, they probably didn't want a drummer that was older than Brian.Lobo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 9:38 am I'd be interested if they didn't have a complete nobody on drums and a guy that was in Jane's Addiction during their uninteresting years on bass.

What's this rumor about Axl? He going to co-sing the American dates with Brian?!?

They can always take Airbourne as an opener to give people a decent Bon Scott era tribute

Wait, this came out from Bach doing an interview? Where's Stevie with the "BACH OPENS BIG MOUTH AGAIN, SPOILS TOUR" headline?

An actual AC AXL tour I care about
Money Talks will in set every night
AC AXL at Sofi ..just bring it! Bach to open
Tiki Bar OC should book that #3 hair metal band for a day that night…around 1am so we have time to make both

That Axl however, does no longer exist. We should just cherish the memories of that glitch in the Matrix.

Re: AC/DC North American Tour
Marc Storace would be cool, as well. Neither of those guys are selling any tix, though. Angus is 70 in March & looks, & probably feels, every day of it. Also, Brian Johnson is 77. This has to be it for him, anyways.

Re: AC/DC North American Tour
What would really make sense to me, is if they're going to split the material, and have Axl sing the Bon Scott stuff, and then Brian do his. They somewhat leaned towards this when Axl stepped in before, because they played Bon material with him that Brian wouldn't normally sing.

MurrayFiend wrote:Shit, deathcurse, you sure know how to make an exit.
Re: AC/DC North American Tour
Brian did just fine on the latest tour. Why bother bringing in anyone else?
