Loved this movie when I was a kid.
The rail slide he does at the start of the movie seemed like a mile long to me at the time!

Cool movie! Right up there with RAD, Gleaming the Cube, and North Shore. Also stars Lost Boy Brooke McCarter (RIP).
Radley, played by Josh Richman, used to be the host of the Metal Skool/ Steel Panther shows at the Key Club on the Strip.
I like that song 'Playground" by The Truth that's featured in the film.

Loved that movie as a kid. Watched it over and over. Recorded it on cable and still have the VHS recording.

"Ca-bry-O-let (cabriolet) - Hungarian for 'fast car'".

Early RHCP made a cameo in that movie.

My first board was a Hawk.
I remember cutting my grip tape in the same spiderweb fashion “Webster” had in this movie.
Still have that board as well as all my others.
Mainly skated Powell Peralta boards, but i did have a Vision Gator just because of those cool ass graphics.

I worked on the skate movie GRIND a few days in the early 2000's...

I was a featured extra for what it's worth, but got Stunt Pay as I had to do a scene where I was skateboarding!

I would skate along and there was some dialogue between others while a few of us skated by as background I guess.

If memory serves me, it was shot at Venice/Santa Monica. I actually don't recall seeing the movie... I guess I should dig it up and try to find myself!

Fun Fact: I dated (if you wanna call it that) Josh Richman's sister Heidi back in the late 80's. She was the clothing designer who did Warrant's clothes for the "Heaven" video.

And, I actually went to dinner with her, her 2 friends along with Phil & Rick from Def Leppard at The Rainbow, this was like late 1987 or early 1988. I recently saw Phil at Zlozower's 70th birthday party about a month ago and brought it up to him and we had a laugh. What a sweet guy he is.

Small world... crazy stuff... can't believe how time flies!
