That’s always gonna help your chances getting a gig…. Your dad making a Facebook post essentially saying the band you want to join doesn’t know what they’re doing.

I've followed Kyle for a few years on IG and he's a killer drummer. Great chops and feel. I was hoping Foo Fighters would pick him up after Taylor died. He currently plays for Mod Sun.

Well… I guess we know why Joe didn’t get the gig! They both ticked every box, but Simon won the “intangibles” category by not having a cray cray father lobbying for him.

Somewhat unrelated, but director Sacha Gervasi seems to believe Bruce Dickinson is a MI5 or MI6 agent playing the role of Iron Maiden's singer.

“Bruce is trying to distract us from the fact that he’s one of British intelligences leading assets, this whole Iron Maiden singer, he’s really studying nuclear facilities on these trips, he’s doing aerial reconnaissance.”

What a dumb cunt the father is. Everyone knows that Maiden don't do dirty laundry in public. Very private band who get the job done. Calling them (Steve) out like that was ungentlemanly and is going to make the Christmas dinner awkward. Idiot.

With Janick Gers flailing about Stage Left and Zoltan occupying Center Stage, the rest of them better camp out together on Stage Right or get hit by 2 hours of random shrapnel.

Realisticallly, Maiden made the right move. Imagine if they hired him, he wasn't working out, and Steve had to fire him?

I think the idea is not to have a Nicko clone - which is essentially what Joe Lazarus is .

Steve Dawson is someone who probably understands the essence of Nicki’s drumming and will not blatantly copy his fills

Steve Dawson was the bald bassist who was fired from Saxon for wearing weird clothes on stage or something. Now he's jailed 5 years for child abuse.

Mmhh, isn't what Maiden needs an exact copy of Nicko?
They are a nostalgia act whether they like it or not....

I know I'd want to hear 40 years of songs played just like Nicko played them. It's a little late in the game to get a different style drummer.
